Back On the Shelf
This is the space where I unload whatever thoughts pass through my head. It may or may not be often that I post.
A week

My mom's first cataract surgery went very well. When I took her in the day after, it was an incredible day with her. She opened up to me like she never had. I felt like my sister was sitting with us at lunch. My mother finally told me about her past life. I told my mom that what she told me was what I was hoping she would share with me before she was gone. She told me all about it. I cried. She cried. We hugged. I have not had a close relationship with my mother. We became closer last Wednesday than we've ever been. I know Val was there and cheering it along.

Patsy's  NC redneck did not show up as he'd planned last Wedesday. His wife got a hold of his ticket and of course they had problems with that. Oh really..........I'm not shocked. Patsy's done with him...I hope. She'd better be. I can't listen to the drama any more. Shit, Shit, Shit.

Val and Sus are here with kids and grandkids for the holiday. They are staying in Idaho Falls. We will spend the 4th at Menan (my hometown) with them and my family and some more time in between. I love them all. Menan has a classic oldtime, hometown July 4th celebration. My brother was instrumental in making all that happen. It has grown and grown ever since.

The Clantons will be back from CA about July 11. His cancer news is soso. He's just planning on playing lots of golf with me and enjoying what life he has. He'll go back to CA in September to see what is going on with the deal. They've had conflicting reports from their doctors.

I called Richard Thursday and told him that he'd have to deal with going to Jamaica again on his birthday. We'll get there about 1 p.m. December 6 (his birthday) and be there for 11 nights. Nine nights last year just weren't quite enough. It's another great deal at couples.com We were in Negril last year. This year it's Ocho Rios. You can't beat $260. a night per couple for an all-inclusive resort. All we can sleep, eat, drink, snorkel, sail, golf and everything else naked for that!!! How do they make money on that?? I'll just swim naked and ponder it.

It was another perfect day at Jefferson Hills and the money game. My team took second. We still think we won because we had a great time playing. Who cares when it's a beautiful day and the company is so good? I love being there on Saturdays...and the other days, too.

Summer is what we live for. I love everything about it including my air-conditioned house.
