Back On the Shelf
This is the space where I unload whatever thoughts pass through my head. It may or may not be often that I post.
First blog entry June 20, 2006

So this is the day I finally become a blogger. I chose the beach theme because I love the ocean and beaches.

Purple has been my favorite color all my life. I think I figured out why. Purple is a mix of red and blue. Instead of thinking of myself living in a red state, I prefer to think I live in a purple state. Red and blue thinking makes as little sense to me as black and white thinking. It must be an innate trait for me to shun black and white thinking. I never agreed with those around me who refused to see the whole picture and consider all angles of an issue before forming an opinion. The older I get, the less patience I have for myopic thinking. More on this subject later.

I joined Netflix. So far, it's been great. The first movies I rented were "Rumor Has It" and "The Family Stone." They were both good flicks.I've still got Woody Allen's "Match Point" to watch. Netflix allows you have three movies at a time for as long as you want to keep them. You set up a list of movies you want in the order of preference. As soon as you send one or more back, they send the next ones on your list. It only takes a couple of days to get new ones. Since I enjoy movies, it's going to be a fun tool.
