Journal: Is human fate determined or do humans have free will?

Humans have free will and will always have it. If a person discovered something that may harm them in the
near

future, they have the ability to do something about it. If at any point during the future the human race is able to

build a machine that allows us to see into the future, I think that humans will be able to change this future to

whatever they want their future to be. For instance, if I learned that I will be driving in a car and accidentally

drive off a cliff in 2 days, I will make sure not to drive that day at all, thusly changing my future and saving my

life. If I learned that I will receive food poisoning from eggs, I will make sure to not to eat any eggs for the rest

of my life.

In my opinion, there is another type of free will. If someone tells you to do something, you do not

necessarily have to do it. You have your choice and can do whatever you wish. My dad tells me to take out the

garbage. I do not necessarily have to do this; if I wanted to I could take the trash can and pour it out all over his

bed, or better yet, pour it on top of him.
