Foreboding clouds lurk a few miles away as the king walks down the hallway and out onto an enormous balcony to deliver a message to an anticipating public. He announces sorrowfully the extent of damage caused by recent invasion and a barren sky that has torched the earth and crops below. The truth is harsh to the dismay of the audience. As his brief speech comes to closure, a light rain begins to fall. But it comes too late for assistance in their dire need. With a voice of despondency, the king bids the attendees farewell and assures them everything will be fine. The crowd begins to venture towards their homes. As the king turns to go inside, his hand hits a vase sitting upon a small pedestal that is placed near the ledge. The collision causes the vase to topple over the railing and fragment on the ground below. So symbolizes the era. After awhile, the light rain turns to monstrous downpour and then into a severely harsh and decimating storm. A dark feeling of hopelessness and despair covers the land. In a place ravaged and broken by time, turmoil and trauma, this is where Shattered thrives.
