Prologue Lady Jupiter (ladyjupiter@sailorjupiter.com) She used to live a fairy tale life. There was magic all around her. Magic in the skies, magic in the ocean, magic in the earth, and magic in the trees. What else could explain the mysterious wonders that nature had to offer? Then, bit by bit, the magic crumbled away. She went to school and learned why the skies were that way, where the ocean's treasures came from, where the earth's fruits grew, and why the trees changed colors, the magic was dulled. Still, she beleived in magic. She didn't care what they taught her in school and she didn't care how irrational it sounded. There was still magic around her. Until her parents died. Then, the magic fell apart. The plane crash broke a crack into her magic. She was thrown into the real world, to strive for herself and to look out for herself, the magic was given a few more cracks. She struggled to keep hope there and to put together the broken peices. Once again, she was thrown into something else. She became a Sailor Scout, saw what no ne else did. Endured things that few even thought about. She fought for the world, for the Princess, and put her life on the line every day. The magic was put at risk and cracked more and more, like a jigsaw puzzle about to fall apart with all it's missing peices. It was shattering bit by bit. She thought she had felt every kind of pain there was to feel. Then, her best friend, her significant other cracked. The magic was shattered into a million peices, sent flying to every corner of the universe. The worse pain of all that she felt was that the magic could no longer be put back again. Rain pounding on the window sill woke him up early in the morning. If it wasn't the rain that woke him up, it would have eventually been the creak of the door. "Up bright and early, are we? That's good. You're going to fit in fine here." A cheery middle aged woman in a starch white suit offered. "What are you doing here?" Ken asked, sitting up and rubbing his eyes. He looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings. He had never seen this place before in his life and he had never seen this woman before either. "You tell me. What are you doing here?" The woman interrogated. Ken frowned. He tried to think, but his mind was like an open book in a foreign language. No matter which page he turned to, he couldn't decipher it's meaning. He couldn't have been better off if it was a blank book. At least then, he would be able to start fresh and new without the jarble in his head. "I-" he started, staring at his hands in disbelief. Were those his hands? Long strong fingers and neatly trimmed nails. "Well?" The woman asked with a questioning expression on her face. She crossed her arms over her bosom and tilted her head. "What's your name? What do you prefer I call you?" "Call me..." Ken trailed off, trying to fill in the blank. "Well? What's your name?" she asked again. "I can't remember," He confessed. For the first time in his life, he was aware that his mind was a complete blank. He had always wondered what it would be like to have nothing on your mind and be conscious of it. Now he knew and he was afraid he wouldn't be able to get out of it. ********************************************************************* Did you expect more? Well, it is a prologue, you know.
