Title: The Girl I've Got My Eye On. Lita sat at her desk, looking over her files, on a serial killer. Lita was an FBI agent, put on this case one month after the murders started. The murders consisted of girls on their age range of 20-23, tall, young, beautiful. Lita went over this case again, and again, trying to get a good idea of what the pattern was. All the girls came from the same town, but that was the only connection. It was as if the killer was just randomly taking young beautiful girls. Lita's mind wasn't totally on the case at the moment since her meeting with her lieutenant this morning… ***Earlier that morning*** "Lita, will you come here a moment?" "Sure James." "Lita, I realize you like working on your own, but this case is blowing up, we need you to work with another one of our agents, that is transferring here to this district today. I would really appreciate it if you two worked together well on this. We can not afford these murders to continue on." "I realize this, I am grateful for the help, actually that's good, I need someone else to help take a load off on me on this case. So when does this agent get here?" "He, gets here around 5:00 tonight." "Alright, I'll be ready to bring him up to speed, I'll take him to the sights." "Thanks Lita." "No problem." She began to head out the door and he ended with… "Lita, be careful okay? This killer is crazed, I'd hate to find you at a crime scene." "What makes you think I'll be one of them." "You fit the profile, young, beautiful." Lita blushed a bit, and chuckled. She walked over to the older man who was old enough to be her grandfather. She gave him a hug. "Your still trying to act like a father to me huh? Well thank you, I'll be careful I promise." He smiled at her and she smiled back and she headed back to her desk. Anxious about the new agent. ***End flashback*** Her head, eyes, and heart began to ache as she looked at the pictures, and information of such sick in-human murders. All her years of being an FBI agent, she never got used to seeing it. Lita looked over at the clock on the edge of her desk in her quiet office in the corner, there was about 10 minutes before 5:00. She then leaned back in her chair, put her hands behind her head, and spun while leaning in her chair, and stared out the window at the sun, which filtered onto her desk. Till her eyes averted to the empty desk that was in the opposite corner of the room, that desk would be no longer be vacant in about 10 minutes. She sighed leaned her elbows on her desk and sat her head in her hands, and began looking over the info again. She was deep in thought as she stared out the window until she heard a knock on the door. She spun around, to see a smiling, handsome face. The gentleman walked in, extended his hand and said… "I'm FBI agent Ken Miyake. Here to assist you in the case." He began to look at her glimmering eyes, and almost got lost in their green hue, till he blinked himself back to reality in time for her to grab his hand and say, "I'm Lita, nice to meet you." They let go of hands after she began to drown in his deep blue eyes. She shakily stood up pointed to his desk and said, "That is where you can work." He noticed her shakiness and asked… "Is everything alright?" "Huh? Oh yes, I just have been looking over all the reports and it makes me sick to my stomach, I guess no matter how much you see it, you never get used to it huh?" "I don't think so either." He set his backpack down in the corner of his desk and sat down and stared at the pile of reports on his desk about the case. "Is this all the info on it?" "Yep, a lot huh?" "I'll say…so where do you wanna start?" "Why don't we go and drive to the crimes scenes in order and I'll bring you up to speed on them all." "Sounds good, let's go." "We'll take my car." She bent over and grabbed her black jacket from the back of her chair and threw it over her sleeveless white blouse, which was tucked into a pair of black slacks. She wore high heels, which clicked on the floor with her steps as she walked. He was in a pair of khakis, and a blue dress shirt, and a polo jacket. He followed her out to her dark green Kia Sportage. She opened the door, got in, and drove to the first crime scene, which was the victim's house. They pulled up to the home, it was an apartment building, gray with dark blue trim. They headed up the stairs to the 5th floor and walked past two guards, after flashed their badges, and ducked under the crime scene tape. They walked in to see a dining table set for a romantic dinner, with beautiful dishes and candles. Ken surveyed everything and took it into memory as Lita spoke. "It looks as the killer set a romantic dinner for her, she was probably startled by it and continued to walk in and didn't see anyone anywhere. There is no sign of forced entry or any finger prints anywhere, this guy is neat." They walked back to the bedroom, where the sheets were all tucked in and tidy. Everything was laid out nice and neat. Lita spoke, "There was sign of sexual activity, but we don't know where it happened, there is no signs of semen on the blankets." Just then Ken had an idea, he ripped the sheets off, "Did you check under here?" "Yes, we put it back." He then flipped over the mattress, there was tons of blood, stained everywhere. It let out a stench, which made them cover their noses. Lita grabbed her cell phone and dialed her lieutenant and told him. Teams were on their way over to check it out. "Way to go, I never would have thought about that." "Didn't look like anyone else did either." He again began to check everywhere else. He didn't turn anything new up in that room. "Here, this is where we found her body." She walked him into the bathroom. She pointed to the mirror and there was duct tape on the sides and the floor. She pulled a picture from the file she was carrying. She described it for him. "He seemed to tape her hands to the sides of the glass, and her feet to keep her from sliding, he tilted her head just right, and set her body up just right to where she was staring at her self in the mirror and she didn't move. She had on a beautiful gown, made of black sequins, that flowed down to her feet. He put a brown wig on them, and pulled it back. They also have a type of perfume on, called Passion. "How do you know what it's called?" Ken asked. "Cuz I wear it every now and then." "Oh do you?" "Anyway, she was killed with a poison that makes your heart explode inside of you and causes you to bleed out your ears, as you can see in the picture." Which she showed him. "It looks as though to symbolize you know, making yourself beautiful in the mirror." "They liked how they looked, and so does he." "Exactly." Lita relied. Then a whole bunch of camera-men from the FBI came in and photo graphed the blood, and took samples. "When will we have statistics on this?" Lita asked Tim, who worked in the criminal labs. "At least a day or two." "Alright, I want that as soon as you've got it." "Alright." "Let's leave them to this, huh? I'll take you to the next sight." They drove around to 4 more homes, concluding to 5 murders in the last 2 months. In each case, where they flipped the mattress, blood was there, they called again for help to make note of it and add it to files. In every case, the girls lived alone, no family, and were all duct taped so that they were looking in the mirror. With a brown wig on with the hair pulled back and the Passion perfume on. A romantic dinner set for them, and them wearing a gorgeous dress from their closet. And were all poisoned with the same type of drug. It was about 10:00 by the time they got back to the office, Lita put away all her files in her file cabinet, and locked it. She tossed her keys into her shoulder bag, and sat down in her chair, she let out a sigh, and looked over at Ken who was sitting also with his elbows on his desk and his hands rubbing his eyes. "Sorry about the long day." He looked up, "What? Oh, no problem." She laid her head down on her arms on her desk. He looked at her and smiled. He thought to himself about; Wow! She is absolutely beautiful, wonder why the killer didn't go for her? Probably cuz she's too tough to mess with. Her eyes are a wonder and what a body. Lita, with her head laid down and eyes closed was thinking along the same lines: What a babe, I wonder if he has a girlfriend. He has an awesome body, looks like he could sweep me off my feet, actually he already did. She picked her head up and turned around in her chair to face him and said, "I'm gonna head home, I'm exhausted." "Alright, I'll walk you out." Neither of them took off their jackets so they just grabbed they bags and headed out. They walked down to the parking lot at Lita headed to her Sportage and Ken headed to his new black corvette. "Nice car." Lita complimented. "You like it? Maybe I'll pick you up tomorrow and drive you to work in it, what do you think?" "I'd like that." "I'll call you." "Alright, good night." "Good night." They walked to their cars and headed their separate ways. When Lita was in her car she was thinking; he must not have a girlfriend, or he wouldn't be taking me in the morning, yes! He is so cute. Ken was also thinking; no boyfriend, alright, what a sexy girl. They both went to bed with each other on their minds. The next morning, Lita awoke in her condo. She rolled over and turned off her alarm. She sat up and rubbed her eyes and stretched and smiled. Ken was picking her up today. She stood up in her boxers and tank top. She grabbed her robe from her cedar bench at the foot of her bed. She walked over to her windows and pulled over her curtains and let the sunshine filter in her room. She cracked open her window to let the fresh air come in. She walked into the bathroom and took a warm refreshing shower. She came out with her hair wrapped in a towel and her in her robe. She walked into her kitchen and poured her self some coffee and read the paper, she was reading till her phone rang. "Hello." "Hello Lita, this is Ken." "Oh, good morning, how are you?" "Fine, you?" "Great." "That's good. I was just wondering, around what time should I pick you up? Also I need directions." "Alright…" She gave him directions and a time. She looked at the clock and noticed she only had about an hour to get ready. She finished off her coffee and headed to the bathroom. She put on her sheer make-up and did her hair, she put it up in her usual fashion. She walked in her room and rummaged through her closets till she decided on wearing her black and white striped skirt suit. The skirt went a down to a little above her knees. She wore a black sleeveless shirt underneath it, which was hidden by the jacket. She put on her flat shoes that made her look intelligent. Her outfit made her look wonderful and gorgeous, she was going to knock Ken out with it. She grabbed her purse and threw it over her shoulder just in time to see Ken drive up in his nice new black corvette. She closed the door behind her and locked it. She walked down the steps to his car. Ken's eyes nearly flew out of his sockets and his jaw to the ground. She looked breath taking, and it took his breath away. She smiled as she got in and sat on the leather interior. "Good morning." "Good morning." They discussed moderate things on their way to work. Once they got there they got to her office and as soon as she stepped in her phone rang. "Hello?" A muffled voice said, "Lita my dear." "Who is this?" Ken looked over suspiciously and was about to pick up the phone when the man said, "Tell him to stay off the line." Lita's eyes grew big as he air went from her chest and she signaled no to Ken with a white face. "Who are you?" "Let's just call me, Bob, it's simple, easy to remember." "Alright Bob, what do you want?" "Well, I'm just calling to inform you that you will find another girl at…" He gave her an address that she jotted down really fast. "Why are you killing them?" Ken instantly knew who it was and he ran to the Lieutenant James office and told him. While he was doing so Bob was saying to Lita… "Well, isn't he a fast little man. He's handsome too, wouldn't you say?" "Why are you doing this?" Lita very terrified now. "Cuz it's fun." "Where are you? How can you see what's going on in here?" "Now I can't tell you that, it wouldn't be fair." "Too bad, Tell me!" Lita said on the verge of screaming, then James and Ken walked in. Lita's face terror stricken. James pressed record to tape the rest of the conversation. "Well, I guess they might as well hear this too." "Where are you!" "Now Lita, just calm down, it isn't your time to come to me yet, you see I killed all those girls trying to get your attention." "Well now you have it so stop!" "But it's fun, plus I'm getting better, I'll have you soon my love." "Don't call me that, you ass hole!" Lita said with anger in her voice. "Calm down my dear. Oh and don't try and find me." "Why not?" "Cuz I'll find you." Then the line went dead and Lita dropped the phone. She sank in her chair and took deep breaths. Ken rushed to her side, she stood up and hugged him. Lita felt safe in his arms, she breathed deeply while Ken told her "It's going to be okay." While Ken was comforting her, James was rewinding the tape. He then said… "Lita, I think I'm going to put surveillance on your home and on you okay?" With her still in his arms she nodded and he walked out of the room to go get some agents to work on it. Ken held her at arms length and looked into her eyes and said… "It's going to be okay, I won't let anything happen to you." "But he knew everything, what we were doing and everything, he knew when you want to pick up the phone and when you began recording and, and…" "Shhh, it's ok now." He collected her in his arms again to comfort her. She soon felt over whelmed and left his embrace and took a deep breath and stared at the piece of paper with the address on it. "I guess we better go check this out." "What is it?" "He told me it was another girl." His eyes showed sadness, and they walked out. They informed James of what was going on and they headed out. Lita just stared out the window as they drove there. They called the police and they were going to meet them there, but they wouldn't touch anything till they got there. They soon reached the house, the cops were there. Lita and Ken stepped through the open door. They smelled something. They walked into the dining room and saw the romantic dinner set up for them, yet on each other the plate, were words written in lipstick. On one it said I love, and the other it said LITA, really big. Lita held her hand over her mouth and looked away, Ken put his hand on her shoulder, she jerked away a bit and said quickly, "Let's just finish up here okay." She walked along the small hallway. The girl lived in a trailer close to her school. They walked back to the bedroom and saw the bed thrashed apart, with blood all over the walls, he didn't bother to clean this up, but on the bed there was a note. Lita had the cops take a picture before she picked it up. She snapped on a pair of rubber gloves, it read. Lita my love, You see all this blood, don't worry I won't kill you this way, I will let you go beautifully into a deep sleep, for you are too beautiful to go any other way. Love, Bob She handed the note to Ken with gloves on, a picture was taken and then they put it into a bag. They continued to walk into the bathroom to see the girl with the wig, the bloody ears, standing there looking at herself, yet on the mirror was written, "looks like you huh Lita?" She knew now why they had that perfume on, and the wig, to look like her. She felt as if she was about to puke. They walked around, she did her job, but with more determination than ever. Soon they had finished their examination, Ken told the inspectors to get them files and pictures of everything sent to them as fast as they could. While he was talking to them, Lita was leaning on Ken's car, her hair blowing in the wind, her sunglasses hid her emerald eyes which showed fear and sadness. At that moment when she looked back at the house she swore she wouldn't end up like that. She was staring at the horizon, hoping to always be able to see it. Just as she was deep in thought someone came and touched her shoulder which made her jump. Ken put his arms up and said… "Whoa there, it's just me." Lita let out a huge sigh. "I'm sorry." She said shaking her head. "I am just a little edgy." "It's understandable. You want me to take you home?" "Yea, would you?" He opened the door for her. Ken took her home, it was still pretty light out side. Lita felt so much for him, he was so caring for her. She remembered that morning and how he held her, he made her feel safe and loved. Ken looked at Lita, such emptiness in her eyes, how he wanted to help her, to be with her forever to fill that void. Sooner than they thought they were back at her house. She got out, and he got out also, "Here I'll walk you to your door." She obliged to the gesture. Once they were at her door, she unlocked it and noticed 2 FBI agents standing there guarding inside the doorway, no doubt there were more upstairs too. Lita turned back to Ken and smiled. "Thank you for making me feel a little better today." "Hey no problem I'm glad to be here for you." "Thank you for driving me in your hot new car." They both chuckled at that. Soon Ken looked right into Lita's eyes and said… "Lita, I want you to let you know I'm here for you, whenever, call me anytime, I have a phone next to my bed, I will always answer it for you. I will do everything, everything in my power to keep you safe. I promise, with all my heart" She smiled back at him, so caring and loving. "Thank you." She said, he simply smiled back at her. "Would you like to come upstairs for coffee, I mean it's kind of early I'd enjoy the company." Ken smiled more, "You bet." She grabbed his hand and led him upstairs, they never let go of hands until they got upstairs. Lita and Ken both felt something in the hands. Their hands fit perfectly together. They were soon inside, Lita then said… "Make your self at home, I'm going to make some coffee, would you like some?" "Sure." He put his jacket on the coat rack. He smelled her home, it smelled wonderful, like she did. Soon Lita came out and sat down in one of the couches, and Ken sat across from her. "The coffee will be done in one moment." He nodded and they began talking, till her coffee buzzer went off, she came back and she sat next to him on the love seat couch. They slowly sipped their coffee and kept on talking. Soon he stood up and said, "I think I'd better be going." "Oh…" She said with sadness in her voice, he sensed it. She stood up next to him, he turned to her, she was leaning on her door as he walked for the door. He turned to face her, "I really enjoyed talking with you." "Me too." Soon they were just looking at one another's eyes. Slowly with out recognition at first, they were moving toward each other. Ken placed his lips on hers, she fully responded and kissed back. Soon they were locked in a passionate kiss. The next morning they woke up next to each other, Lita in Ken's embrace. They had made wonderful love that night, together. Lita never felt for someone what she was feeling as she lay with him. She lay there with her eyes closed, but Ken laid there with his eyes opened. He soon began stroking her back and kissing her forehead. She moaned and looked up and kissed him on the lips. "Good morning." "Good morning, how did you sleep last night?" "Good, you?" "All the more wonderful when I know your next to me." Ken said slyly, Lita blushed and kissed him again. He rolled over and looked at the clock, they had to get ready for work. Lita got up and wrapped a sheet around her body, which was almost completely exposed except her bra and panties. He stood up in his boxers. She headed for the bathroom and was going to take a shower really quick as he made coffee. When she came out, he was sitting drinking coffee reading the paper. She came out, her hair wet and in a robe. He smiled at her. "The shower is all yours." He stood up, and before she made it to the table, he wrapped her arms around her and kissed her neck and let out a huge sigh. "I love you Lita." She smiled and took his face in her hands and looked him dead in the eye and said, "I love you too." He kissed her passionately and then headed for the shower. They went into work in separate cars. They were inseparable all day. They always kept each other in eye range. Soon Lita's phone rang… "Lita…" The muffled voice said taunting her. They were recording every phone message she got unless she turned it off cuz it wasn't important. "Who is this?" She said while her glasses were on her face and she was rummaging through papers and the phone resting on her one shoulder. While Ken was reading papers across from her since they decided to put there desks together so they could "work more efficiently" but mainly it was so they could look at each other. "Guess…" Lita grabbed the phone with her other hand as reality hit her dead in the face. "Bob…" Ken's head-shot up to see Lita frightened "BINGO!" "What do you want?" "How was last night for you and your lover boy?" "What are you talking about?" "Don't play dumb with me, you and Ken!" "That's none of your business, leave him out of this." "Tell him to pick up the phone." She told him and picked up. "Yes?" "Ah, my…my, it is Lita's lover." "What do you want?" "I want Lita, so you best leave her alone." "Make me, I love her so get a clue bud!" "Bud!? You best watch it sir, you don't know what your dealing with!" "Yes I do, you’re a crazy man who thinks killing is 'fun' you make me SICK!" "Please stop…" Lita whispered into the phone at the two yelling men. She was right in the middle. They kept on using forceful words which almost made her break down. "SHUT UP!" She screamed, and they both stopped. "I'm coming Lita, and there is nothing this man can do about it." "Please don't, just leave me alone." She was whimpering now. "It's okay Lita, I'll take care of you, I love you." "No, your sick bastard, stay away from me!" Ken had gotten off the line after Lita's outburst and was sitting there with his hands clasped under his chin, with fright in his eyes. Lita slammed the phone down and put her head down in her arms and cried. Ken looked at her, she was tough yet fragile. He could tell this was tearing her apart, she was scared and vulnerable. He walked over behind her and began to rub her shoulders. She sighed and turned to look at him. Her cheeks and eyes were wet. She grabbed a tissue and cleaned herself off. She stood up and hugged him, and sighed. "Lita, I'm here." "I know. Why me? Huh? I didn't do anything." "I know." He said and he held her at arms length. "Let's go to my summer home, we can stay there for a while and hope that this thing boils down a bit." "I don't know, I think we'll be more vulnerable there, plus he knows everything that's going on in here, I think he'll know about that too." He hung his head, he didn't know what to do, so he collected her again in his arms. Just then James ran in after he rewound the tape and listened to it. Ken looked at him and shook his head. Lita looked at him as he came over and rubbed her arm. "Lita we have people all over where you live, and we are going to put an agent on you at all time." "I'll do that sir, I'll stay with her." Ken offered. Lita looked at him, a hint of happiness came to her face, knowing he'd be there with her. "Alright, is that okay Lita?" "Yes, perfectly alright, but let's get working on this case, I'm gonna make myself sick if I keep thinking about it." They nodded and they retreated to their desks. Lita began looking over the data. She thought she saw a pattern, she got out her map and looked at all of the places he had been and marked it in on a huge map in red pen. Once Lita filled in all the points, she connected the point and gasped. She looked at the shape, it was a heart, and the last point which was at the base of the heart shape was Lita's house, which ment she would be the next girl. Ken stood over her shoulders, and was shocked. But he knew no others would die. "At least after he gets me, there will be no more killing…I hope." "No Lita! You're not going any where." "Ken it's inevitable, he will get me, but I'll always love you." "No, no, Lita, I won't let it happen." His eyes began to get foggy, and he brought up another chair that faced Lita. She smiled and cupped his face in her hands. She tilted her head and looked at him. She was about to lean in and give him a kiss, but they were interrupted when the phone rang. Lita picked it up… "Yes?" "Lita my dear, the time comes." "Fine, take me, I can not hide." "NO LITA!" Ken yelled and grabbed the phone as Lita put her hands in her lap and hung her head. "You can't have her, you won't!" "You are wrong my boy, I will." "NO! Please, I love her." "But so do I, and she is mine." "She belongs to no one, she is free." Lita looked up when he said that and then looked back down, and let a tear fall on her leg. "NO!" Ken yelled and the line went dead. Ken landed hard on his chair, and put his head in his hands, he began to sob, and kept on saying to himself, "no…no…no…" "Ken, let's go to my place okay, we can talk there." He stood up and breathed in deep. She held his hand and waved to James on his way out and called his agent and let him know they were leaving. As soon as Lita grabbed her bag and walked out to her car, she waved at the agent in the car and he nodded in response. She got in her car, Ken and the agent following her home. She noticed her fuel light was on, she phoned Ken and the agent and informed them that she would be stopping at the next gas station. They agreed and did so. Ken and the agent sat in their separate cars as she filled up her car, she leaned on the hood of her car. Just as Ken looked away, a huge dump truck pulled past, and when the truck passed she was gone. Ken and the agent ran out and looked all over. The agent said to Ken, "I'm going to stop that truck and you search around here." Ken complied and looked all over. Ken looked down and there was an ID card on the ground. It had a picture of a man on it. He headed back to the station with it in his hand, he typed in his name and got an address. It was a house in the country, he thought it might be the guy and didn't have anything to lose by checking. He drove out there with a few agents trailing him for back up. Ken got out and headed to the house in rage, the house lights were on, he knocked on the door and no one answered, he opened the door a bit and looked in. There were candles all over, and on the side table by where he walked in was a bottle of Passion perfume. He picked it up and felt his blood boil. He pulled out his walkie-talkie and called for assistance. They moved in slowly and quietly, they searched the entire house, when they were down in the basement, he saw Lita's bag. He filed with fury and ran all through the house. He ran outside and checked all over. He looked over in the distance and saw a barn. The other agents noticed it too, and they called for back up themselves. Ken ran steadily over to the barn and went in the side door slowly. He looked all over. Nothing, till he practically tripped on a knob on the floor. He began to turn it and covered his lips with his fingers to motion to the other guys to be quiet. They opened it and ended moving down a hallway and stopped at the sound of a voice and whimpering. They walked along the hall way silently, and stopped when they came to a wall with slits in the wall and they could see into it. Ken saw… Lita tied down to a table, she was in long black dress, which was very revealing. She was struggling to get out with all her might. Then he heard a voice… "Now Lita my dear, don't bother trying to get out of those I know that your strong, you think I made them for any old girl." "Let me go!" she screamed. He walked over to her and placed his index finger on her chest and drew his finger along her stomach to her belly button. "Soon, I will show you how much I love you, it will be unbearable." "I will never love you! Don't you touch me!" "What is stopping me." Ken couldn't look anymore, and he burst in the door. "I'm gonna stop you!" Both Bob and Lita's head jerked to see him standing there with 6 guys behind him holding him at gun point. He backed up and grabbed a knife off the table and backed up behind Lita and placed it at her throat. "Shoot and I'll slit her throat." Ken motioned for the guys to put their guns down. Ken walked up to Bob, and lunged at him with a punch. He avoided it and punched Ken in the side. Ken stood again and they were in a hand to hand combat. An agent came over and undid Lita's chains. She stood up and looked at the man who loved her and the man who kidnapped her, fight. Soon they were rolling on the ground. Soon Ken was on the bottom and Bob was on top choking him. Lita grabbed the gun from the agents holster and shot Bob dead in the head. Which made him fly back. Ken gasped for air and rolled to see Lita holding the gun and breathing deep. Bob looked over at Lita and with his last breath and said, "I always loved you." Ken stood up and motioned that everything was alright to the agents and they cleared out of the room leaving, Lita still holding the gun heaving for breath, and reality to hit her. Ken coughed and walked over to Lita and took the gun from her and dropped it. They embraced and sobbed with each other. Lita and Ken walked out of the barn to find cops swarming the place. They ran down and closed the case. Lita walked into her apartment with Ken behind her holding her hand. Ken closed her door and locked it. They walked into the living room and let out huge sighs. Lita hugged Ken and Ken fully responded. But he lifted up her head, and their lips met in a passionate kiss. Once again they awoke in the embrace of one another, they stared into each others eyes, and, kissed of love. THE END!
