Yellow folks. This is going to be my last update for awhile (vacation @__@) and I’m sorry that it’s so short. The next update will be in about two or less weeks (I’m not too sure when I’m coming back) and I promise to make it longer. Insert the usual disclaimer here and enjoy! Chapter IIV- Discoveries "Calm down Miss Minako. What happened?" Quatra asked. It was at that moment that Duo chose to walk in the room (fully clothed this time ^__^). Minako was hysterical. She was crying on Rei, cursing at everybody and at some point for some reason she was laughing (I wonder why... ^ __~). "What did you do this time braided baka?" Wufei asked. Rei calmed Minako down. "Can you explain?" Trowa asked the captive Mina. Minako explained really fast, stumbling over her words what happened. "What? You’re saying that Duo was naked in the shower and was trying to molest you?" Quatra said in disbelief. "Well, he didn’t exactly molest me…but he did scare me." "Tell them how you got there in the first place," Duo said slightly hurt. "Yeah, you too onna," Wufei said to Rei. "Well you see…"Rei started. Mina interrupted the better of the two at lying. "See…we are experiments. We were born and raised on Oz…but they messed with our DNA so we are changed. But we’re still human. We can tell the fortunes like we did before and we can also teleport…Oz used us for their own good but we ran away. They chased us and that’s where you found us hiding in the city," Mina said slowly as she pieced the story together in her mind. And the Gundam pilots had seen some weird things so they bought it…or at least for the time being. "Why did you help us?" Wufei asked curiously. "Well…we wanted to…get back at Oz," Rei said and grinned behind the mask for her ingenuity. "How do we know you’re not lying and want to kill Queen Relena," Heero asked. "We helped you. What reason do we have to tell…untruths…We need to save the Queen. Makoto predicted that the time weave would collapse if she dies at this crucial moment. I don’t understand myself but I know we have to do this," Rei said. "Show me your powers. Teleport or something," Duo said. "Well…we wasted all of our energy trying to brake in so we can’t." Suddenly a bright green light filled the room. "Mako-chan…" Minako whispered. *A little while earlier* Makoto paced the ‘cell.’ She had tried everything except for teleporting and it looked like the only thing left. Makoto had power but she had no real talent for it so rarely did and if she did it was always with the others. "This can’t be so bad Makoto. It should be the same. Minako and Rei just aren’t here to help…" she said nervously. Makoto closed her eyes after sending a prayer to Serenity for luck. "Power of Destiny. Power over the future. Jupiter Planet Power!" she whispered rather then thought. Makoto disappeared in a bright green light. She reappeared in some bedroom and felt many eyes staring at her. After regaining her vision she saw herself surrounded by Queen Relena’s Bodyguards (Duo, Wufei, Trowa, Heero and Quatra) and her two friends (Mina and Rei). There was a long stunned silence. The tension in the room was palpable as Makoto looked around. She studied the faces of the pilots while she avoided meeting Heero’s eyes seeing as she still blamed him for her capture. Then she saw Rei and Minako were handcuffed. Rei’s violet eyes looked angry and Minako was soaking wet. "Mina! What happened to you?" Makoto exclaimed breaking the silence. "Isortaportedintheshower," she said in a slur. Mako could tell from the tone of her voice and the slur of her words that she was embarrassed. ‘What happened to Mina? She teleported in the shower that must be why she’s wet but why is she embarrassed? Unless…’ she trailed off into thought. Then she got it. "She was in the shower with a man!" Makoto exclaimed out loud. Minako glanced at Duo then stared at her feet in embarrassment. Makoto looked at Duo who was blushing brightly. She burst out in laughter. "…You…saw…him…naked!" she said between laughs. "This is priceless. Did you manage to take a picture?" Mako asked as she regained her composure. "Its not funny," grumbled Mina. "Ok, now why is everybody in the room?" Makoto asked. "We finished our questioning. But you have to stay here. We don’t trust you completely," Quatra said sadly. "Can’t they just use their powers?" Wufei asked. "Well that means you’ll just have to let us go. Now just take off these handcuffs," Mina said. "We don’t have time for this we have to go and have a meeting with Relena," Heero said coldly. "Time? What time is it! For the love of Kami, tell me!" Rei shrieked. "Its 3:37…" Trowa said suspiciously. Makoto panicked. "We have to get Relena out of here! They’re coming," she cried and started yelling. Heero walked up to her and shook her until she stopped. Makoto broke from his grip, her anger rising. "Wha-"she began. "Who’s coming?" Heero demanded. "They want to kill your Queen. They must be in the palace already…it might be too late," she whispered. "Explain," Heero said with his gun out and ready. "Let my friends go first. We are not your enemies. If I had a choice I would be at home cooking something. So please just let them go." Heero motioned for Quatra to unlock their handcuffs. "The assassins. From my vision," Makoto finished once Rei and Mina were free. "That can’t be possible onna. We tripled the security after our encounter and even searched the whole palace," Wufei said. Makoto grew angry at the term ‘onna’ but it wasn’t the time for fighting. "Could it be…could it be that they were in the palace before today?" Rei asked. "No…" Duo said. "Have you seen any big groups of men around here?" Mina asked. "No…yes! Quatra hired a whole fleet of butlers last month. About 20 of them. And we just recruited about 30 recruits for the palace guard. I thought the butlers were okay but the new recruits had questionable backgrounds and at least half of them had been seen talking to the butlers," Duo answered. Makoto ran to the door and opened it. "Quick. Show me where the servants live," Makoto ordered. "The new barracks aren’t finished so the recruits live in the servants wing. I’ll take you there," Quatra said and led Makoto away. The others were confused but followed. When they got there they found the rooms all empty. "Maybe it’s just a coincidence," said Heero who still couldn’t trust the three masked women. "Wait. Mako-chan, didn’t you say that one of them had a scar on his face, the leader?" Rei asked. Mako nodded. "One of the guys did have a long scar on his face. He said his name was Bruce," said Duo. Makoto’s eyes widened. *Flashback* "If you so much as step this way I’ll blow her head off," the man with the scar said. "Heero. Help me! He’s going to kill me! Take what ever you want just let me go!" Relena cried out. Heero took a step forward. The man that held Relena saw this and laughed. "I told you not to do that," the man said. *Bang* *End of Flashback* Makoto was brought back to the present by Mina shaking her. "It can’t be. There is no way that that can be a coincidence now. The man from my vision, the one with the scar, he’s the one that killed your Queen. She’s going to die no matter what, even if we help," Makoto cried. Quatra gasped. "You’re forgetting something Mako-chan," Rei said. "When you were in the time weave finding the most possible futures you didn’t know that you would get involved so you most likely ignored that future. The future you saw would have been true if we didn’t decide to help. We weren’t in your vision. We have a chance." Makoto smiled underneath her mask. "You’re right. Trowa what time is it now?" Makoto asked. "3:47." "Shit! It doesn’t matter if that vision was invalid. She dies at exactly 4:00. We have to get to the state room now!" "We need a plan," Trowa said. "Hn," Heero answered. "You have a plan?" Mina asked hopefully. "We have to get there fast. There are only three ways to get into the stateroom. The assassins can only use those. We have to split up. Trowa you go with Quatra to the security wing and get reinforcements. Duo go with Mina to the South entrance. Wufei you go with Rei to the West and Makoto you’re with me on the East entrance," Heero ordered. Everybody (save Trowa and Quatra) began to protest loudly. An icy stare from Heero silenced them. The guys took their guns out and loaded them. "Let’s go," Heero ordered. He ran out the door and looked like he could care less if Makoto came or not. Muttering curses, she followed. Trowa and Quatra promptly exited the room with their weapons in hand on their way for reinforcements. Duo looked at the cloaked and masked figure beside him and blushed. By this time her cloak was reasonably dry. "Come on. We have to go Duo," she said. Duo put the event behind him and ran out. Minako laughed at his expression and followed him. Wufei and Rei were the last ones in the room. They locked eyes and then turned away. Rei walked to the door then looked back. "Look I don’t want to be paired up with you either. If you want to save your Queen…" "What do you mean my Queen. You and your friends keep saying that. She’s the Queen of the world." Rei shook her head. "We have no Queen. Our Queen…she’s gone to a better place. She was 10 times the ruler this baka on the throne is. Now let’s go," she said.
