I went to go check the statistics for my stories and it had this new part to it. It said I have reviewed stories 64 times. That is a lot of time (not wasted). I wonder who on FF.net has reviewed the most stories. Could be you… Anywho, this chapter will be told in three different P.O.V.’s so it will be easier to understand. Thank you for the reviews on the last chapter by the way and I don’t own any this story. I do, however, own the clothes on my back (my parents own the rest and sometimes they think they own me, damn chores). Chapter IV- Breaking In *The next day at noon* "I said I’m fine now stop fussing over me!" said and exasperated Makoto. They had all finished getting ready for their mission, which they unanimously accepted. They now all donned their uniforms (the masks and cloaks). Underneath they wore casual clothes. "Fine…we’ll do this according to plan. I caught a glimpse of what the palace looks like," said the seer of the Present, Rei. "Let’s do this now before I loose my nerve," Mina said. The three linked hands. Minako glowed a soft yellow and gold light. ‘Power of Chance. Power over emotions. Venus Planet Power.’ Minako began to pulse Yellow and Gold as she thought this. ‘Power of Fate. Power over Fire. Mars Planet Power.’ Rei glowed Black then Red. Both Minako and Rei opened their eyes in unison. "Teleport!" they both said. All three of them disappeared. They reappeared outside of some high marble walls. Makoto looked around. The marble walls surrounded the giant palace and trees surrounded the walls. They heard the noises of vehicles nearby and could tell they were entering through a gate. "I think you should leave now. Before somebody finds out we’re here. They probably increased the security because of the warning we gave," Makoto said sadly. Minako hugged her causing her to wince. Inside of the black cloak her abdomen was wrapped in bandages. "We can do this Mako-chan. Don’t worry. We’ll meet inside," Minako said reassuringly. Makoto chuckled. "Well its not like we haven’t broken into a palace before. Remember when we had to-"she stopped as she realized that it was neither the time or place. "Lets go Minako. We’ll go individually. We don’t have much power left so it’ll be safer," Rei said with a look of annoyance in her eyes. "Good-bye Rei. I would give you a hug but…" she let the words hang. Rei nodded in her direction then closed her eyes. After glowing black and red she disappeared. Minako gave her a cheerful thumb up and disappeared as well. "Good luck," she whispered after them. "Now how the hell am I supposed to get in there…Its all my fault if I hadn’t insisted on coming I could be home baking something…but it was time to go into the outside world." Makoto looked around. She walked until she saw a road. It went through the gates but lots of guards had been stationed there. "Can’t go through there." She walked back to the copse of trees. "Wait…the trees," Makoto thought. She looked for a tree to climb. Then her eyes rested on the one in front of her. It was large and wide but served her purposes. The branches were an easy climb and reached over the wall. "Piece of cake," she thought. Then she looked to the first branch. A little later she reached the final branch. Her cloak was undamaged but her limbs were protesting to the abuse she had been giving them and she didn’t even want to think about the condition of her unhealed wound. Now she sat on the branch that went over the fence. It led to a huge garden, beyond that she had not a clue of where she would go. "Come on Makoto. Lets jump down. It’s not that far. Just about ten feet," she thought to herself. Makoto rallied all of her courage and strength then jumped down to the garden. And as she reached the floor her vision went black. When she opened her eyes she realized that she must have passed out for at least ten minutes. "Remind me never to do that again…" she huffed out. Once the pain began to subside and the double vision was lost she stood. Gripping the wall she made her way to a nearby tree and caught her breath. "I still don’t get it Trowa. We didn’t find any assassins and we searched the whole city," a voice said. Curious, Makoto followed the voice until she saw Quatra and Trowa following a path back to the palace. She hid behind a tree when Trowa looked around suspiciously. ‘I have to follow them. I need to get in the palace. I just can’t let them see me. Simple,’ she thought optimistically. Going from tree to tree, bush to bush she started to follow. Finally Quatra and Trowa stopped. Makoto breathed a sigh of relief for her body was screaming bloody murder. She crouched behind a large bush and listened to their conversation. "They lied," Trowa said simply. "All that hocus pocus for one lie? We checked everything and came up with nothing. Do you think it was a trap?" Quatra asked. "It doesn’t make sense to me either. Maybe they were telling the truth…" Then Makoto felt a cold metal pressed against the back of her hood and heard a click. "A gun!" she thought. "Get up," a voice said in her ear, Heero’s voice. "Kuso! I had to get caught," she whispered. "I said get up!" Makoto got up slowly. Quatra, Trowa and Heero by this time had surrounded her. "What are you doing here?" Heero demanded. Makoto didn’t speak as she tried to stop herself from saying a string of curses. "Sorry Miss but we’re going to have to take you for questioning," Quatra said soothingly. They reached a large white room. Makoto was tired but she took pains not to show it. Heero forced her to sit in a white chair at the foot of a small square circle. Quatra, Trowa and Heero sat facing her. It was deathly quiet in the room. The only noise was a steady tick tock of a clock. Makoto looked to the clock and gasped…it was 3:20…forty minutes until Relena would die. "Look, I don’t have time for this. I have to get out of here. Relena’s life is in danger. And you’re making me late," Makoto said. Her eyes were a dark green with her anger. "You’re not going anywhere until you answer some questions. Starting with who the hell are you?" Heero asked. Makoto glared at them all but said nothing. A burning question filled Heero’s mind. The anxiety he felt would not go away until he asked it. "Who did I shoot?" he asked. Makoto fingered her mask absentmindedly. That was when the boys noticed that it had a large crack in it. "Me, you shot me," she said calmly. Heero cringed inwardly. There was blood on the floor…two bullets. One had obviously cracked her mask. He wondered what it was made of to withstand the attack. But where the other bullet hit worried him, there was blood. "The other bullet, where did it hit?" Makoto touched her side where the bandages were doing their job. "Right here," she said. Everybody’s eyes widened at her remark. Nobody could survive that without medical attention. And if she did get help she shouldn’t have been able to get up much less break in. And why wasn’t she in pain? They underestimated her strength and determination. "You’re lying," Heero said. Makoto took her hand off of her side and looked at it like it was something new. It was wet with blood. Apparently the bandages hadn’t been doing their job to well. "You need a doctor Miss Makoto," Quatra said and got up to go get one. "No, don’t. I’m fine…for now. Trust me I’ve had worse and I lived through it…well except for the time…never mind." They were intrigued, what was it she was talking about? It was vague but they determined she had died…impossible! Heero stood up rapidly causing the chair to fall back. He pounded his fist on the table. "Look! Give us some answers or omae wa korosu!" he said and aimed his gun for her. Before the terrified Makoto could respond there were two ear-piercing screams. Makoto recognized one as Minako. "Minako…" She jumped out of her chair and ran to the door. She was too late. The Gundam pilots had beaten her to it. "Stay here Miss, it’s for your own safety," Quatra said as the others made their ‘escape’. He closed the door behind him and locked it from the outside. Makoto slid to the floor in defeat. "It’s for your own safety," she mimicked, "Yeah right. They only want to keep me here so I don’t escape before they finish their game of twenty questions. I have to get out of here, even if it means I have to teleport…" *Rei* Rei looked at Makoto. "Why is she taking so long. I wanna get this over with. The less time I have to spend with those boys the better," Rei thought. "Lets go Minako. We’ll go individually. We don’t have much power left so it’ll be safer," She said with a look of annoyance in her eyes. "Good-bye Rei. I would give you a hug but…" Rei sighed and closed her eyes. "Power of Fate. Power over Fire. Mars Planet Power!" Rei whispered. In a flash of red and black light Rei was gone As she reappeared she felt lightheaded. "Well I don’t think I’ll have enough power to do that in awhile," Rei mumbled. She had an urge to take off her mask and rub her face but fought it for fear of getting caught. She looked around and saw that she was in a gym. It had weights, a small track, a tennis court, basketball…the works. It was mostly empty…mostly. "70…71…72…" began a voice. Rei spun around franticly. She hadn’t thought that there would be people in the gym but it only sounded like one voice so she should have been okay. Unless it was the enemy. ‘Damn, I can’t let myself get caught this early. I only just got here. I’ll have to make sure I don’t get caught. I wonder if Mina and Mako are okay? Well…we have a mission. I have to stop the group of killers. That should be easy. Now I just have to get away,’ Rei thought to herself from her hiding spot behind the rack of weights. "…99…100…Done," said the male voice. Rei found the source of the voice. It was a boy doing one handed pushups on a blue mat nearby. She couldn’t see who it was from her vantage point. The boy stood up and turned around to wipe his sweat with a towel. It was Wufei. Rei immediately backed up. ‘This is bad, this is really bad. Wufei-baka might take this the wrong way. How can’t he? He thinks we’re the enemy and if he sees me he’ll think I’m trying to kill Relena. Oh no! I can’t get caught. I have to get out of here,’ she thought nervously. ‘Back away slowly. That’s it Rei…’ Rei backed away slowly to avoid making any sudden movements. Then there was a loud crash. Rei had backed away too far and ended up backing into a ball rack, knocking it over. The balls were falling everywhere. Rei was on her knees to avoid getting hit by some of the heavier balls. Then, when she heard no more bouncing, she stood. ‘Well, there goes the game. He can’t possibly ignore me now. I hope Makoto and Minako complete the mission and come back for me,’ she thought hopelessly as she looked down at her feet. Then she looked up and saw Wufei making his way to her. He had his katana in one hand and a gun in the other. "What are you doing here onna? You better have some explanation…Talk damn it," he said after a pause. Rei glared at him. ‘Well I’m not going without a fight. At least it’s shut that baka up,’ she thought with a smirk. Wufei by this time was about two feet in front of her. "Now come with me," he said. Rei kicked the katana out of his hand, which landed in the pool, and attempted to take the gun away. They both struggled to gain control over the weapon. Then it flew out of both of their hands and landed about ten feet away. Rei and Wufei’s eyes locked for a moment then they both turned their attention to the gun. Rei raced to get it before him but he was in front of her. Then he reached for the gun. Rei lunged and grabbed his waist, pulling him down with her. She rolled on top of him and attempted to hold him there with one hand, the other was reaching for the gun. His sudden movement put the gun out of her reach. He was pinned on top of her attempting to restrain her. ‘I wish Makoto were here. She was the blackbelt,’ Rei thought in desperation. Makoto was the karate maniac and had and still did, practice her art. Rei stopped in her second year of being a sailor scout. Hence the reason she called out for Makoto. Rei used her knee and kneed him in the crotch. He groaned and rolled off of her. ‘Well, that was a good idea…’ Rei made her way to the gun doing a little victory walk. But then Wufei grabbed her ankle making her fall on her butt. And by this time she had enough of him and was attempting to knee him again but he was ready. She was seething with anger. Wufei had enough of the ‘weak onna’ too. He was trying to grab both her hands to restrain her before he called security. That’s when they both heard two ear piercing screams. They both rolled off each other and tried to catch their breaths. "That’s Minako…gotta…save her," Rei said between gasps of breaths. "I have to go save that braided-baka," Wufei mumbled. Without warning Rei sprinted out of the door in the direction of the scream. Wufei retrieved his katana and gun then ran out in the direction Rei went, determined to beat her there. *Minako* When Minako hugged Makoto earlier it was out of impulse. Makoto had looked so lost but tried to hide it all underneath her mask but her eyes betrayed her. "We can do this Mako-chan. Don’t worry. We’ll meet inside," Minako said reassuringly. Makoto chuckled. "Well its not like we haven’t broken into a palace before. Remember when we had to-" "Lets go Minako. We’ll go individually. We don’t have much power left so it’ll be safer," Rei said. "Good-bye Rei. I would give you a hug but…" Rei nodded in her direction then closed her eyes. After glowing black and red she disappeared. Minako gave Makoto a cheerful thumb up sign and closed her eyes in concentration. ‘Power of Chance. Power over emotions. Venus Planet Power!’ she thought going into a half trance. She disappeared after a display of orange and gold lights. After reappearing she felt immediately hot and wet. Rivulets of water were raining down on her from seemingly nowhere. Her cloak was drenched but her mask unharmed. Wherever she was, was filled with steam. And she was standing on something marble. With limited visibility she reached out in front of her and felt a tiled wall. ‘Where the hell am I?’ she thought to herself. Minako turned around and saw a man behind her. He was turned the other way and whistling a song as he scrubbed himself. Actually from this behind it was hard to tell if it was a boy or girl because they had a braid. This assessment of the naked person happened quickly. She was stupefied. The naked person turned after hearing a strange noise and saw Minako. It was Duo. That was when Minako and Duo both screamed in unison. Minako stumbled backwards and almost slipped in her attempt to leave. Her face, she knew, was as red as sunset even when she diverted her attention to his face…only his face. With one hand she fumbled to get the shower door open but her attention still remained on Duo’s face. He tried moved closer to her. "Stay back! Hentai! Hentai!" Minako yelled as she finally got the shower door open. Duo reached out a hand and Minako stumbled out over the edge of the tub in her attempt to get away. Duo jumped out the tub. "Wha- What are you doing here?" Minako began crawling backwards on the rug and reached the door. "Ecchi!" she cried out. "Huh?" Duo asked dumbly. "You’re naked!" Mina yelled. Duo, if possible, blushed brighter then Minako had. He bent over and got his towel, which had fallen on the floor causing Mina to scream again. While he put the towel on Mina tried to get the door open. When she did she was standing in front of the barrel of a gun, much the same as Makoto had done earlier. But this time Heero looked confused and more then a little angry. Minako made a mad dash by Heero and found herself in a bedroom. She was restrained about the time she reached the bedroom door. Turning she saw Quatra. "Sorry but you can’t go Miss Minako," he said as polite as ever. Minako, with a guilty conscience, struggled in Quatra’s grip. Trowa helped restrain the kicking and struggling Mina. Then the bedroom door opened and Wufei stood there. He was soon pushed aside and a cloaked Rei stood there. "Hey watch it onna," Wufei said. Rei snorted and then looked at the scene in front of her. That’s when she heard an audible click. No, it wasn’t the gun toting Heero Yuy; it was the sharp sound of handcuffs being closed. Mina and Rei were both now handcuffed and moved to a spot far away from the door, on the bed. Rei cursed her stupidity while Minako was still in hysterics. "Now, answer our questions," Heero said while putting his gun away. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ I hoped you like that. It was another of my pitiful attempts at humor…rereading this chapter I have noticed that none of it is funny at all…they were just weird. Things are sort of funnier when they aren’t happening to you. And just so you know, I will be going to Miami on vacation next weekend so this might be my last update, if not I’ll try
