I know what you all want to know!!! - How was labour???
Well what can I say - It is something every woman and man should experience.
I had been feeling restless and irritable all weekend, just wanting the baby to get here and get here now!!! And boy does the Lord answer prayers - because Sunday June 15th (Father's Day) at about 2pm I started feeling twinges of pain which I hoped were contractions - I started telling everybody that i was feeling contractions and they laughed at me because I have been praying and wishing for these contractions so they thought it was just my mind playing tricks on me.
By 10pm these twinges of pain were 15mins apart and by 2am they were 5 mins apart. I was admitted at the hospital and our long day started.
Labour was not that bad for me (I guess I am one of the lucky few) I found the pain to be manageable and as such did not ask for or recieve any pain relief medications - I utilized my breathing techniques and that was enough pain management for me.
Delivery was quite an experience the pain was intense but I was still in control - After about 4 pushes Jorell Darian Morris came into the world with a healthy cry - 7lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long.
