I conducted a short survey to 100 students of Graphics Design, Architecture and Visual Arts with short yes/no answers.
These were the questions:
1.
Have you ever taken an Animation course?
2.
Has your faculty given lectures on traditional animation or by
computer?
3.
Would you like the discipline of Basic Animation to be offered by the faculties
of Architecture and Design?
4.
Once you conclude your bachelor’s degree, would you like to study animation?
5.
In case a course or seminar on animation were offered, would you take it?
The results were exactly as expected.
First question: 100%: NO
Second question: 100%: NO
Third question: 95%: Yes and 5%: NO
Fourth question a: 81%: Yes and 19%: NO
Fifth question: 95%: Yes and 5%: NO
As we can see from the results of this mini-survey, it is evident that in Panama students are interested in Animation, whether it is done in the traditional way or by computer, but unfortunately the country lacks resources in the country to implement it.
