Celebrating African-American History, Liberation and Love Through Poetry:  February 2005

 

You are invited to this Poetry reading and DVD/CD Release Party

 

Black Love-Spoken Word by Ukali and La-Rue DVD/CD Release Party.  This DVD/CD (43 Minutes) explores issues of History, Liberation and Love. The DVD costs$15.00 and the CD costs$10.00.

3:15pm to 3:30pm: Poetry Reading and Presentation by Larry Ukali Johnson-Redd; Author of Journey To The Motherland and History To Destiny Through Afrocentric Poetry. New Book: Loving Black Women Through Poetry due for release in 2005(Journeytothemotherland.com)

 

3:30pm - 3:45pm:  Presentation and Poetry Reading by Loretta Larue Duncan-Fowler, Author My Deepest Affections Are Yours (Barnes And Nobles www.fingerprintpress.com) currently living in Sacramento, California, originally from Boston. La-Rue’s poetry comes from deep in a sister’s heart.  La-Rue takes you on a spiritual and poetic journey of love from the beginning, middle and end of a relationship.

 

03:45pm to 4:00pm:  Terry Moore, The First Poet of Sacramento, author of many Books and CD’s (fingerprintpress.com).  Terry is the best male Love Poet in Northern California.  Terry Moore does nearly 50 appearances a year. (Terry’s latest book is:  Lost Diary and his latest CD is titled: Cravings)

4:00pm to 4:15pm:  Each Poet will do 1 or 2 additional Poems.

 

4:15pm to 5:00pm:DVD or CD to play while book and CD/DVD autographing and networking occurs.
