Well it is the night before and all through the house chaos reigns! How anyone can actually go to China to adopt using carry-on only (and yes, they do) is just amazing to me. We have two suitcases that are bursting -- the "just in case" medications alone take up half a suitcase -- okay, that is an exaggeration, but who knew that someone who probably weighs 16 pounds could need so much stuff?
The "excitement" of the day was increased when our tickets from Guangzhou to Hong Kong failed to arrive -- while we considered extending our stay in China indefinitely, I knew we could not pack THAT much, and so we opted for a drive through rush hour traffic to Fed Ex who had our tickets.
Chancellor is up at Camp Evanston -- we had many a talk this week about the fact that while he may not initially like the "thing" we bring back, he should reserve judgment until the first feeding in her high chair.
Most importantly, we actually finished a place for her to sleep when we get home. Hard to believe that we started this all in September 2004 and here we are, and I feel no more prepared now, then I did then! This is going to be some adventure . . . for the rest of our lives . . . .
