The Instructions on how to use the saves from the site. If anything goes wrong, don't hesitate to contact us by sending an e-mail with the description of your problem.

Open the file you just downloaded using an unzipping utility such as WinZip (we are going to use this utility in our example). You can find such utilities by downloading them from WinFiles or Tucows.

In WinZip, press Extract Button (1).

In the new window that appears, in the field "Extract to:" write "C:\Program Files\The Longest Journey\Saves\" (or the appropriate path if you installed the game in a different folder) (2). Make sure that "All Files" is selected in the field "Files" (3) and then press the Extract Button (4). Now, close WinZip.

Open My Computer. Go to C:\Program Files\The Longest Journey\Saves\01 folder, where 01 refers to the first user that plays the game. If there are more than one player there should be 02, 03 etc folders, so open the one that your saves are installed.

In this folder, see the number of your last save (5). In our example is the number 51. Press the Up Button (6).

In this folder you can see the files that you extracted before, in our example Save30.tlj and Save30.tga (7).

We are going to rename these files appropriately (7). Select the first one by left clicking once on the name and press F2. Now, write the new name of the file using the following number of your last save. In our example, we are going to write "Save52.tlj" (51 was the number of the last save). Press Enter and then rename the second file by following the same procedure (don't forget to write .tga instead of .tlj this time).

Select the two files (press and hold Ctrl button in the keyboard and then left click once on them). Press the Cut Button (8) or just press Ctrl and X in the keyboard.

Open 01 folder and then press the Paste Button (9) or Ctrl and V in the keyboard. That's all folks!

Warning: Due to the several different language versions of the game, there might be problems using the saves. The use of the saves is at your own risk and the site has no responsibility about any problem that may occur in your system. However, we welcome any saves of the users of the regional versions of the game (you can send them in this e-mail).
