Between the Lines: Capturing the Experience of Life Everyone has a unique viewpoint and something to say. Writing from and about your life can provide valuable insights about your experiences and how you've become the person you are today. Tap the richness of your creativity, rediscover and share your unique perspective. This program can be adapted for all ages and any focus including spirituality, cultural heritage and the lifespan. Because We Remember: Using Words to Heal Life compels us to go on through times of change whether or not we've initiated them. Being able to reflect upon what has passed, what it brought to your life and what you need right now can be both powerful and comforting. This is an opportunity to join with others to make meaning of life before, during and after experiencing loss and change. Private guidance by appointment, if preferred. Women in Transition: Refocus & Renew Transition is a process not an event. Whether we initiate it or it happens to us, we need space, time and the means to make -- and adjust to -- change...and to rest during this period. WIT provides a place to find your internal compass, explore directions, experiment and make conscious choices, and create a web of support for what is new or challenging in your life. WIT meets for nine months to focus on and support each woman's needs and desires to: make a change, adjust and plan responses to outside events and circumstances, or answer some elusive call from within. WIT members identify issues, challenges and concerns, clarify personal goals (if appropriate), encourage and guide each other through transition and change. It incorporates group discussion, imagination, creative problem solving, writing, deep listening, goal setting and planning, developing and sharing resources, and group support and feedback. Raising Our Voices: Writing Women's Lives This workshop draws on themes common to women's lives. Find meaning in the experiences that have shaped or changed you, preserve memories while looking to the future, share life's lessons, and discover your unique voice. No experience needed, only curiosity and perhaps a yearning. The Rhythm of Our Lives Journal retreats mark personal and natural seasons by drawing those together who long to contemplate their lives in this way. Each gathering is an island in time providing a pause, quiet reflection, private and communal writing, and good company. We follow the waxing and waning year, explore emerging themes and honor our lives as they unfold. Groups for women and men or women-only. Journal Gatherings: Writing in Community Sessions include an entrance reading, relaxation and brief write as well as an extended journal period. Reading one's writing is optional, voluntary and confidential. Small groups allow optimum participation and benefit. Most meet monthly; new groups scheduled as needed.
