Bio: Mai is my favoite female character, tied with Serenity. She is, as my brother puts it, smart, sassy, and sexy.
Mai has spirit, but she's also stunning (according to all males I have talked to). As far as I can tell, the only bad thing about here are her clothes (or lack thereof).
Mai may come across as arrogant and selfish, but I can assure you that it is not the case. She cares about people, just in her own way. She'll duel someone just to raise their spirits, and even forefitted to Tea so that she'd win the star chips for Yugi.
Now for my favorite part, the part about Joey and Mai (my favorite non-slash couple). This couple is all but official in the show (kind of like Tai/Sora in Digimon).
There is evidence all over the place of this couple! For instance, whenever Joey is hurt she is the first to run to his aid (and visa versa ^_^). Also, after Mai battles Marik and pretty much loses her life, it's Joey that comes to her aid. And it's also Joey that makes the ultimate sacrifice to battle Yami Marik for her sake.
Mai is really awsome, for a glamour girl, and I can't wait to see what develops between her and Joey ^_^!
