Anzu lives with at least her father, and I'm willing to bet her mother too. Her dad works in the military, and they moved around a lot when she was younger. When she was about eight years old, her family lived in New York. There she saw a Broadway play called "The Stone of the Superior". That was where she developed the dream to be a dancer. (refrence Japanese episode 102). Anzu is the only one of the main group that can speak and read English.
General Bio
The only girl in the main four, Anzu acts as the mother for the boys. She is always worried about their safty, especilly Yuugi's. If they are in danger, she's always at the side lines praying they'll be alright, and she cheers them on for every duel.
Anzu doesn't duel professionally, but she does duel on occassion. Obviously, she isn't very good as Honda always uses her beating Jounouchi against him. Still, at least she knows how ^_^.
Anzu is a bit afraid of Yami at first, as she is afraid that he will take Yuugi away, but eventually she seems to warm up to him. She even appears to be having a hard time choosing between him and Yuugi later on in the series!
Anzu's dream is to become a dancer, and she wants to go to America and learn how once she graduates. To be perfectly honest, Anzu is a fantastic dancer! She has excellent rhythm, and she looks good doing what she does. The boys support her dream, and will do anything they can to help her out.
Anzu's motherism extends not only to her very close guy friends, but to almost everyone. She looks out for Mokuba a lot of time, and comforts Shizuka when Jounouchi isn't there! It even includes Mai and Kaiba, when they are acting like they don't care whether they have friends or not. I think Anzu is just the motherly type
