Dennis Rickman: A chemistry has always existed between these two. It took Sharon a very long while until she would admit she loved Dennis, and at Valentine's last year, they began a public relationship. Den was not happy to discover his Princess was bedding his son and some manipulation saw that Dennis ended the relationship. Heartbroken, Sharon waited for Dennis to come back to her, only to have to watch him get it together with Zoe Slater. Dennis admitted in November he wasn't happy and he & Sharon began an affair, deciding to come clean at Christmas, being determined to flee to New York together. Den however, convinced desperate Zoe the only way to keep her man was to lie about being pregnant. So tearfully, Sharon left the Square, telling Dennis to be better to his child than Den had been to them. Dennis was heartbroken, and promised, upon his goodye, that he and Sharon were "Forever". When Sharon discovered her father's lies, she located Dennis, and they returned to the Square to announce their relationship. Despite arguments about where to settle down; Sharon & Dennis became engaged and married on August 29th 2005.
Enemies
Peggy has to be her number one enemy. Sharon messed with her boys and that's unforgivable in Peggy's book. Plus, Sharon sides with the Fowlers.
High points

Sharon Watts arrived in Albert Square, Walford at the tender age of 3 with her adoptive parents, Den & Angie. They moved into the Queen Victoria and Sharon got up to all sorts with her best mate 'Chelle, forming "The Banned". Den got stuck into womanising and dodgy dealings while Angie drank heavily to keep her face on for the punters.

[In 1989] Sharon was horrified to learn that 'Chelle was pregnant by Den. 'Chelle gave birth to baby Vicki, Sharon's half sister in 1986, aged 17 and Sharon forgave both 'Chelle and Den. Angie, having been told Den was leaving her for a woman called Jan, dropped a desperate bombshell - she only had six months to live. Den however, soon discovered this was a porkie and chose his moment to present Angie with the divorce papers. Christmas afternoon, Angie and Sharon left The Vic.

But as Sharon grew into a woman, her beloved poodle Roly, and 'Chelle were forever at her side. Den, however was not there for his Princess. He had become involved in another dodgy dealing with a gang called "The Firm". Wanting revenge on James Wilmott-Brown for raping Kathy Beale, he arranged for The Dagmar to be torched. He would take the rap and go to prison in exchange for a hefty cash sum upon release. Whilst he was on remand, The Firm suspected Den was grassing them up and he was to be "dealt with". A gun hidden in a bunch of daffodils seemed to do the trick. When Sharon discovered her dad's ring on a market stall, the canal was dredged, and a body, identified as Den's,was discovered.

As the hair got shorter, so did the skirts. She filled her wardrobe with smart suits, and was the image of the successful business woman when she took over the lease of the Vic. One look at her legs, and it was love for Grant Mitchell. He knew he had to have her, and she couldn�t resist him for long. On Boxing Day 1991, Grant Mitchell and Sharon Watts were married.

By 1992, Sharon & Phil were unable to deny their feelings for one another any longer and they ended up sleeping together. It soon developed into a full-blown affair, despite Phil making an honest woman of girlfriend Kathy Beale, by asking her to marry him.All was revealed at their engagement party however, when Grant played the "Sharongate" tape, featuring Shall & 'Chelle discussing the affair with Phil, to a packed pub. Kathy was left reeling, but it was Phil who went looking for Grant. He discovered him in The Arches. Not wanting to lose his brother, he begged Grant to hit him, to allow him to get it all out his system. Intially Grant refused, but Phil persisted, winding him up until finally, Grant rose to the bait and they fought. It ended with Phil ending up unconscious, surrounded by a pool of blood in the pit.
Whilst Phil recovered in hospital and he & Grant had blamed the entire episode on Shall, she was back in Walford, packing her bags and ready to espace to Florida with 'Chelle (who was pregnant by Grant!) and nine year-old Vicki.

And it was there she stayed, with her good ol' mum Ange, until she discovered that old enemy Peggy was having to sell The Vic. Sharon snapped up her old home. Her beau from The States eventually followed. But she was rid of Ross pretty soon after a visit from his mum.
Sharon rekindled her passion with old flame Phil, which ruffled the feathers of her arch enemy, Phil's mum, Peggy. It lasted quite a while until Phil told Sharon he wanted to have kids with her. Then she had to drop her bombshell. She had aborted Grant's child. The operation was botched, and so she was infertile. Phil went ballistic. He couldn't believe that Sharon would betray his bruv like that.
On Christmas Day 2001 Sharon left Phil to go and see her mum in Florida. She says there is no point to their relationship. They are just trying to put right a wrong from all those years ago.

Angie Watts died on the 6th April 2002. Sharon returned to Walford to bury her mum on the 22nd. At the wake, she met up with old schoolfriend Tom. Romance blossomed, and they bought the e20, transforming it into Angie's Den. Rumours arose that Tom was married. His wife Sadie, and her daughter Charlotte, turned up..
             Sadie embarked on a plan to turn Walford against Tom, but it didn't work and Sadie & Charlotte disappeared.Tom discovered he had an inoperable brain tumour. He didn't tell Sharon, because he wanted a girlfriend, not a nurse. When she proposed, he began to push her away. Eventually, Sharon discovered the truth and she vowed to stay with him until the end because she loved him. She proposed again and this time, Tom accepted.
              Bily & Little Mo's engagement party at Angie's Den became their own and it was a double celebration. Trevor kidnapped Mo, holding her and his baby son Sean hostage in the Slater house. They were all going to die together. Little Mo grew strong and called Trevor's bluff.. Mo lit a match & she realised he wasn't joking.
               Firefighter Tom ran straight in to save them. He rescued baby Sean & Little Mo, but when he went back for Trevor, he met his end as the house exploded. Tom was buried, and for the first time, Sharon met his mother, Bridget. She begged Sharon to come to Ireland with her, so she could share some memories of Tom. Sharon went, but not before confessing to a guilt ridden Little Mo that it didn't matter if Tom died in the fire, he was dying anyway.

After a time in Ireland with Tom's mother, Sharon threw herself into running Angie's Den & was elated when half sister Vicki came to Walford from The States. Together they tracked down a half brother Dennis. Sharon was really shocked when Dennis made a pass at her, and she shoved him back. However, in the September of that same year (2003) Sharon was increasingly vunerable as Dennis announced that Dirty Den was alive and well. Seeing how much it hurt her, Dennis retracted it, and declared it a rumour.

One night, having dealt with Sam & Phil Mitchell's jibes about him being unwanted particularly badly, Dennis trudged home and sat in the dark drinking alcohol and shovelling back fistfuls of pills. This was the night when Dennis demanded to know how Sharon could ever have let the likes of Phil Mitchell touch her. When Sharon retorted that she was using him for sex, Dennis begged her "use me instead". Against her better judgement, Sharon tumbled into bed with Dennis. He decalred his love and Sharon couldn't handle it, especially when she discovered the father she thought was dead, stood in the shadows of Angie's Den!

Chrissie, learning of Zoe & Den's deceit as Dennis fled the Square, plotted her revenge with Zoe & Sam, getting Sharon back to Walford to hear Den to confess to his lies. Sharon disowned him, and headed to search for her lover. They returned in June; Zoe's pregnancy lie was exposed and she left. Dennis & Sharon moved in with a resentful Chrissie and rowed about where to lay roots as their stepmother caused trouble over issues of marriage, hoping they would leave; but it instead promptly led to Dennis asking Sharon to marry him, and she happily accepted, finally becoming Mrs Sharon Rickman on August 29th 2005!
