Southern Tier News and Views
This site, when it becomes more organised, will be a news source for the Southern Tier of New York, and to a lesser extent the Northern Tier of PA.  I will attempt to update at least once a week, and cover anything that strikes me as inportant, ie: the regions various crimes, business, the ocasional sports news (ie if Flutie gets hired to coach in Corning or somthing bizare) things that strike me as funny, and general information, such as community events.
Joshua Horein due in court, March 9th
Horein, who has been charged with the murder of his former girl friend, Amber Brockway last August, one week before the Frontier at The Glen is scheduled to visit the Schuyler Court in Watkins Glen on the 9th, with speculation that there is a plea deal in the works.  Visit the Star-Gazette's webpage on the right for the full story.

Hornell St. Patrick's Day Parade
Hornell has its annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, starting at 11:00 AM on March 17th.  Always a great parade, with candy being thrown by various civic groups, and various stores and bars have specials for the day.
