Rainier Climb
9/30 - 10/1
After driving down from Alaska, myself and 5 other AMG guides met up and climbed Mount Rainier (14,411 ft). Due to the lateness of the season, only one route (Dissappointment Cleaver) was open for climbing. After hiking into the plush Camp Muir on Sept 30, we awoke at 1:50 am on Oct 1 for our long summit day. We started climbing at 4am and topped out at 11am, then descended the 9,000 ft all the way back down to our cars. This crazy, long day started by moonlight, and ended by moonlight. Here's some of the pics....
