| Aconcagua: Top of the Americas | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| In December '06, AMG sent me down to Argentina to guide 2 trips on a mountain called Cerro Aconcagua, which at 22,841 ft is the highest mountain in North and South America. On my second trip in Jan '07, our group reached the top after 15 days of climbing. In my 2 months on the mountain, I experienced everything from sub-zero to 100 degree temperatures, 120 mph winds, personal injuries, and of course, the hospitality and culture of the Argentine people. I hope you enjoy my account of the trips... | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
