In science when we have a hypothesis we try to disprove that hypothesis and every time we fail to disprove it, it adds weight and becomes a theory. This by no means proves something to be true, nor if it becomes a law. It simply says that in 100% of cases 'x' will be the outcome with 'y' possible variants.

This is part of what is known as scientific method. If we use that same method on the bible (in it’s scientific assumptions) we find that the bible is correct in 100% of the cases we know about. For some funny reason people get hung up on this 6 day creation (I laugh when I think about this), no human being on earth has any evidence for evolution, and the only other possible paradigm is something caused the world and universe into existence (there is evidence for that). And we can also observe that the Earth is finely tuned for life, this is called the Anthropic Principle.

All the reading you can do on the subject, does that prove the God of the bible?
The answer...... NO

But remember that scientific method?

What it does do is not disprove it, and all the other attempts to disprove it have failed.

Therefore, the bible and the God who supposedly wrote it in 100% of cases are correct in archaeology as well as science. And has been 0% disproved. To be fair there is still much debate and conjecture regarding this controversial book.

Now you can quibble about little things about the text. The reality is less that 1% of the verses in the bible are under competent dispute and none of those verses effect any of the core doctrines contained in the bible. Also it just so happens that the validity of the New Testament is better than any 10 pieces of classical literature put together.

This is my conclusion - The bible so far has never been wrong in accordance with what little we can know about the universe. Therefore it disserves more respect over the other so called divine texts of other faiths.

Remember what we are looking for is the truth! The objective truth about who we really are and what our purpose is. Are we an accident? Or were we conceived and tailored for a specific role within a greater existence?

I’m searching for the truth!
It’s not a vain stab in the dark, if the truth means I need to rethink my lifestyle... so be it! If it is true I want to follow it and fulfil my purpose, which is not rooted in this world but in eternity.

What do I have to gain by one person believing me?
Answer..... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

I will gain nothing nor loose nothing, based on anyone else’s decision for or against Christ. The God of the bible will gain nothing and loose nothing based on your decision for or against Christ.

THEN WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF CHRIST?
You have been given the opportunity based on the grace and mercy of the God of the bible to gain a position that you can’t possibly get for yourself. You are offered atonement and pardon for all imperfections based on the righteous sacrifice of one man (Jesus who was and is the Christ who was risen to life). What God offers those who accept and shield themselves from the wrath is a seat on the throne of the universe and an inheritance on the earth which Jesus purchased with his blood.

How do I accept?
1. Tell God that you accept his free offer (which is only valid while life is till in your mortal body) Just talk to him, he hears and sees and knows everything, you don't need any special place or equipment.

2. Receive the atoning sacrifice that Jesus made for your imperfection. In other words, believe and know that since you told God that you are saved through the death of Christ, believe it and act like it.

3. With the help of the bible and the Holy Spirit, begin putting away what you know to be wrong either morally, socially and what you discover out of the bible to be what hurts God. In changing your behaviour and being committed you will find that God reveals himself to you to encourage you while changing your desire away from rebellion and towards perfection.

NOTE: God will not work with you against your will. He is a gracious, loving Father not a malicious thief or vicious invader. He is gentle and patient with you and is committed to completing and restoring you to what you were intended to be. Which is His adopted son or daughter, whom He loves.
