| The stand shown is made for the smallest Alexandria Style doumbek (the doumbek measures 12"h x 6" diameter head). The nylon web strap is tensiond by a Highland brand ratchet. The side holding the doumbek is cousioned by rubber strips. I do not suggest this type of stand for Turkish style doumbeks (darbuka) because they are forged of sheet brass which would bend from the ratchet! However, I suggest another style stand made of forged metal rings and round stock. |
