SOFIA (Reuters) - At least seven teenagers died on Friday
when a roof collapsed in a disco in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, Interior
Minister Georgi Petkanov said.
He told BTV television one teenager died on the spot and six others later in
hospital. Four others were badly injured.
``It was a Christmas party, I was on the staircase when I heard screams from
inside and I first thought that people were having fun,'' Anton Popov, who was
waiting to get into the Indigo disco, told Reuters.
``Then guards came telling everyone to leave because the second floor had
fallen,'' he said.
Petkanov said that at least 1,500 youngsters were waiting to get into the popular disco.
