INT CHOP SHOP GARAGE - NIGHT We see Adam, a 36 year old, single man, fit, who dresses formally, a business man that is the manager of a chop shop owned by his boss Mr. Villion. He stands infront of a car frame up on jacks with no work going on around him. ADAM (distressed) I can explain. INT CHOP SHOP OFFICE - NIGHT July sits on the desk swinging her feet and playing with her hair. She's a red head, about 5'5" in good shape. As she plays with her hair she glances upon a picture of a man in his 30's standing next to a celebrity and she bites her lip. The door opens and its Adam, from the picture. He notices July with the attitude of a good teacher, and she his student. ADAM Hello July, what can I do for you? She is madly attracted to him and yet he feels nothing, as he busily shuffles through some papers, gathering things from here and there and writing it all down and figuring them out. We hear banging noises, metal clanks and see sparks from the garage which connects to the office. JULY (almost whispering) What can't you do for me? ADAM Sorry? JULY I brought in the 78 Camero. ADAM So you're a common thief now, since when? JULY Since I heard you needed a 78 Camero. ADAM July, if I had to pick two words to describe you it would be model citizen. How in the world did you manage to steal that car, it has just about every kind of alarm you can think of and the strangest key ignition slot I've ever seen on a car that old. July reaches into her pocket and shows him the keys. ADAM (CONT'D) I hope you didn't sleep with anybody I know for those. JULY (laughing) You're so funny. No, silly. I have a part time job as a waitress. I'm around rich people, debutantes, foreign diplomats and who knows who else all day. I paid a bus boy $250 to take the car while I swiped the keys. July has a proud look on her face as she displays the keys swinging on her finger. Adam reaches to grab the keys as she playfully pulls them back to the side of her face behind her head. He reaches for them and as he stumbles closer towards her she hides them behind the other side of her head. July, still sitting on the desk, wraps her legs around him JULY (CONT'D) You know, instead of paying me out of your...pocket. I'm sure we could work something out where we could both get a good bottom line. I'm very flexible. Adam pauses as if considering the deal. ADAM (into July's ear) You mean payments in pleasure? JULY (grinning) Yes. Adam snatches the keys. ADAM I don't mix business with pleasure, thank you. And besides, hitting on your dad's friends. Are you sure waitressing is the only source of income you have. JULY (disapointed) And what do you do in your spare time? Reminesc about the three days in college when you had sex? ADAM Ouch, July listen to me. July looks annoyed. ADAM (CONT'D) How often do you approach me? JULY I don't remember. ADAM About every week? JULY Every week. ADAM And how often do I drop the signals that I'm interested in leaving my wife to pursue a younger woman in the desperate hopes of reliving my 20's with you in one of these cars? JULY Once. ADAM Neve-...What do you mean once? July is now on the defensive trying to get him to realize he does have feelings for her, be they deeply latent in his subconscious or hidden from his own view. JULY Yes you did, when we were at my Daddy's grand opening for the restaurant you said you could see me doing great things in my life. ADAM (flabbergasted) What does all of this mean? JULY Doing, "great things"...Hellooo, you look just like Wayne Gretzky. INT CHOP SHOP GARAGE - NIGHT Adam is explaining. ADAM I couldn't believe what I was hearing. INT CHOP SHOP OFFICE - NIGHT ADAM I can't believe what I'm hearing. JULY Believe it, you said it. I'm getting out of here. I think you owe me something... ADAM Owe you what?? JULY Hellooo, the car. ADAM (as he counts the money) You don't have to keep saying hello, I know you're here. Take it from me, you're kind of hard to miss. JULY Rrrrrrrrrggggggg, you make me so mad! Adam hands her the money. ADAM Don't slam th-.. July slams the door and some things fall off their precariously balanced places. ADAM (CONT'D) ...why do they always slam the door when I say that. Adam gathers a few papers together as he looks for the car keys. He finds them in his pocket and looks at the keychain tag. He's now horrified as he rushes outside of the office. INT CHOP SHOP CARAGE - NIGHT ADAM Stop! Don't touch that car! We see the car bare to its frame as Adam reacts to his Boss' car being stripped of everything but the lisense plate reading "VILLION4." We hear a door slam as Mr Villion and his assistant Brian stand in awe of his late car.
