Joshua Tree September 2003 |
|
|
This was another Rock Suckers outing for the month of September. We had a great time spending the weekend at the Sheep Pass campground. We spent the first day in the Hall of Horrors- East Wall. My favorite climb here was "Rings Around Uranus" (5.7). When the temperatures starting getting to us (104 degrees F was the high that day) we pack up and headed to Ryan campground area where we did some bouldering in the shade. Toward Sundown a few of us headed over to Cyclops Rock and climbed "The Eye" (5.1) which is a three star classic. The next morning we headed over to Cap Rock and spend a few hours climbing the Southeast face. I really enjoyed "Nobody Walks in LA" (5.8+). After this I headed out early to beat the traffic into LA so I could spend the rest of the afternoon on some reading for class. |
