Of course through life's miriad of changes I basically lost contact with eveyone I had gone to school with, I was off doing my own thing man and well like five years after I graduated some of my old high school buddies and suddenly there I was I was navy all over again.
Now on the net I've used the Navy moniker on several sites, first of all the most known of the sites was localdetroitrock.com, when I left that site for the greener field of Oakland county I took the navy name with me to Semirocks.com. Of course I used the navy title as the ring leader of fortress america, and navy has even shown up to write a few poems for unsigned poets, and a few hillarious wrestling takes on wrestling fever.
It is also pretty important to remember that Navy is my alter ego, if you have ever met me in a public place you have met navy not me not at all. I know that's hard to understand but Navy is and always will be a part of me, he is my shield to deal with the stress of the public life that I have chosen for myself. When I go out to the clubs well I know that I will be bombarded by people that I know, people who have been to my websites, people that have seen my band, people who know my Uncle, people who know me through Benny, ya know it's a lot to deal with. Being nice to people I barely know is not my strongest suit and well that is where navy comes in. Navy is suave, navy is charming, navy knows how to own a room and well navy is the life of the party. The true me that lies beneath all of that is way more reserved and well more layed back. Joshua would rather read a book at home then go out and work the crowds the way that navy does.
Truly he is another aspect of my personality and yes he so gets me into trouble. Espically with the ladies ya know. First of all none of my girlfriends has ever truly understood exactly what navy is or how he is. They are always like well I don't see you as navy or you were never navy to me and well that's not at all true. When I'm yellin at stupid Michigan drivers in rush hour traffic well that's navy, when I'm at home lying in bed talkin to the woman that I love that is Joshua do you see the difference? does anyone understand?
