| ("War Machine" starts and we go through the opening video with the following clips: Spike Dudley hitting the Acid Drop on D-Lo Brown, Too Cold Scorpio nailing the 450 on Fit Finlay, Jeff Hardy blasting New Jack over the head with a guitar, The Extremists standing on opposite turnbuckles, Too Cool brawlin it out with the Dragon Kid and Juventud Guerrera, Ken Shamrock putting Frank Shamrock in the Ankle Lock Submission, Saturn dropping Chris Benoit with the Death Valley Driver, Mike Awesome executing the Awesome Bomb on The Giant, Benoit putting Saturn in the Crippler Crossface, Bigelow and Lee executing their finishers from the top rope through tables onto the Extremists, Robert Thompson dropping Jyushin Lyger with the Double Arm DDT, Perry Saturn driving Sid into the mat with a Death Valley Driver, Dean Malenko putting the Texas Cloverleaf on Benoit, and then Malenko holding the World Title over his head.) No opening interview for Heat, we instead go straight to a match. ----------------------------------------------- D'Lo Brown vs Darren Drozdov ----------------------------------------------- D'Lo was barely hanging on in singles competition when one lucky day he invited Eric Embry and Mike Quackenbush into the WWA. Luckily for him, they accepted. Since then he has been dominant in the tag team scene, but tonight he would try to go back to what got him into the WWA in the first place, singles wrestling. His opponent? Droz! Droz hasn't been doing much lately, especially after his heated feud with David Taylor that people are still talking about (dripping with sarcasm). He is still as cocky as ever, and even a couple of weeks ago wanted a match with Mike Awesome. Unfortunately for Droz, he got it. He was hoping tonight he would have better luck. The match started off kind of at a slow pace as they hooked up, but neither man could get the advantage and so that broke up rather fast. They went to hook up again, but D'Lo snuck in a punch to the stomach and then whipped Droz into the ropes and took him to the air with a backdrop on the rebound. Things kept going D'Lo's way for most of the match as Droz had a hard time of getting together any string of offensive manuevers. Droz did hit a piledriver later on in the match (late for a 6 minute match), but it wasn't enough to get the pinfall. Moments later D'Lo sent Droz Sky-High and then hit the Lo-Down to get the three count. D'Lo Brown pinned Darren Drozdov with the Lo-Down in 0:06:10. Rating: * D'Lo got his arm raised and left the area while Droz looked rather disgusted in the ring. After a pair of commercials we came back to Super Nova coming to the ring to a mediocre reaction. Nova just isn't getting the job done. Unlike Nova, Matt received a huge negative reaction. He has taken to wearing a pair of blue jeans and a Black Sabbath t-shirt now. A leather jacket covered the t-shirt and his hair was looking rather greasy. His eyes had that deranged look on it again. Not a good sign for Nova. ------------------------------------------- Matt Hardy vs Super Nova ------------------------------------------- The bell rang and things immediately got nasty as Nova went charging in with a clothesline, but instead met a boot to the face followed by a lariat that took Nova down. Matt picked Nova back up and hurled him to the outside where he followed. Matt threw Nova into the guardrail and as Nova came staggering out Matt blasted him with a superkick. Matt got himself a handful of Nova's hair and brought him back to his feet only to ram him face first into the ringpost. Nova wasn't looking good, but Matt wasn't done. He lifted him up for what looked to be a back suplex, but instead of dropping him on the floor he dropped him on the ringsteps!!! Nova screamed out in pain, and started grabbing at his back and rolling around in pain. The ref went to break it up, but Matt grabbed ahold of him and threw him over to the side. He went over and grabbed a chair and slid it into the ring. He then threw Nova into the ring as well. Once Matt was back in the ring he dropped a couple of boots to Nova's head and then dropped a leg, and made the cover but only got two. Matt went right back to work as he grabbed the chair and opened it up. He then walked over to Nova and lifted him up high in a Gorilla Press, but instead dropped him straight down and face first onto the chair! The chair was dented down and Nova's face was now a bloody mess. Nova tried to crawl away from this lunatic, but Matt grabbed ahold of a leg before he could get away and dragged him back into the middle of the ring before lifting him back up to his feet. Nova tried to fight him off as best he could, but it was no use. Matt folded the chair back up and proceeded to crash it into Nova's head a couple of times and then went crazy on his knee. Nova was screaming out in pain, but it just drove Matt further into his state of mind. He exited the ring and grabbed a couple more chairs and threw them both into the ring. He entered the ring as well and opened them up facing eachother. He then picked Nova up and set him down, laying on his back, on both chairs. Kind of a make-shift bed, if you will. Matt then went up top. He looked from side to side, but was only met with boos and then he flew off the top ! ELBOW OFF THE TOP AND ONTO NOVA!!!! Nova was laying on those chairs! The chairs went scattering around the ring while Matt and Nova both laid on the mat. It took him awhile, but Matt eventually got back to his feet. He stuck his left arm straight up and his right arm straight out to his side in some form of pose. He then walked over and stuck his boot on Nova's chest as the ref made the cover. 1... 2... 3. Matt Hardy pinned Super Nova after a flying elbowdrop in 0:07:52. Rating: ** 1/2 Matt Hardy picked up his jacket, draped it over his shoulders and headed to the back while a couple of referees came out to check up on Nova. It took awhile, but Nova was eventually helped to his feet and he staggered to the back. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Flames of fire are all around.... There are beaten up cars over the area... A fence is seen far away with barbed wire above it... Trash is being sent scattered by a wind... And a figure is right in front of the fence... He starts walking toward the camera... But before we can see who it is... The tint goes red and...then... The camera is turned off...) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- A new set of commercials, and when we came back it was time for one huge mismatch. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Juvy Guerrera & Dragon Kid vs The Head Hunters ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, this was a match where the Head Hunters could easily dominate. They threw their weight around and pretty much killed Juvy and the Kid in the opening minutes. They soon had cornered Juvy off and started to really work him over. Splashes, legdrops, and elbows, anything that used their weight, was used. The Kid tried to make the save after about 3 minutes of this, but only got lifted high up in a Gorilla Press by one of the Hunters and thrown to the outside! He went crashing into the guardrail and stayed in a curled up position. This sent the Ultimo Dragon to run down the aisle and check up on the Kid. The Kid continued to lay there, but waved Ultimo off, and Ultimo started started to back up, but then jumped onto the ring apron!!! Ultimo was apparently taking the Kid's place! Still, the Head Hunters couldn't of cared less. They continued their beatdown of Juvy, but Juvy was lucky enough to catch one of them being distracted by the crowd's booing and brought his arm straight up in a low blow. Needless to say, that Head Hunter went down. The other Head Hunter entered the ring, but didn't make it in time and Juvy made the diving tag to Ultimo. ULTIMO WAS WRESTLING IN A WWA RING FOR THE FIRST TIME! Ultimo caught the Head Hunter (we will call him #2) running at Juvy, and so he springboarded onto the top rope and came flying off with a dropkick that connected perfectly. HH#2 went flying backwards. HH#1 got to his feet and blasted Ultimo with a couple of punches to to the face and then whipped him into the turnbuckle. HH#1 came charging in with a splash, but Ultimo moved out of the way at the last second. HH#1 hit hard and continued to lean against the turnbuckles. Ultimo saw an opening and started laying in those vicious kicks of his. Kick after kick was sent into HH#1's sides. Finally Ultimo backed up, but Head Hunter #1 was out of it. By this time HH#2 was back up and caught Ultimo from behind with a couple of forearms. Juvy broke this up quickly and dropkicked the back of his leg. HH#2's leg buckled on him and he went down to one knee. Bad position and Ultimo wound up one of his legs and.... BAM!!! A very stiff kick right to his face. HH#2 almost fell backwards, but Ultimo caught him before he could and hooked on the Dragon Sleeper!!!! HH#2 held on as long as he could, but it wasn't long before he tapped. Juventud Guerrera and Ultimo Dragon defeated The Head Hunters when Ultimo Dragon made Head Hunter #2 submit to the Dragon Sleeper in 0:07:13. Rating: ** 1/2 Juvy and Ultimo immediately went to the outside and checked up on the Dragon Kid, but he was getting to his feet. This led to a celebration of Juvy and Ultimo's victory. Definately a huge victory for this trio. It was then time for our Luck of the Draw Match that is ever so popular in the WWA. When a Head Banger isn't involved that is. A Head Banger is involved in this match over 1/3 of the time which should be somewhat of a shock, but nobody really cares because they aren't doing too well in the WWA. Hopefully we wouldn't have to deal with that tonight. Our first competitor.......Aw, jeez! Mosh of the Head Banger's !!!! Lucky us. Only that could save us now is...I don't know. But we soon found out who his opponent was going to be as "Natural Born Killaz" came over the speakers. It was going to be Mustafa!!! He ran out with his trashcan and things weren't looking to be very pretty. For any of us. -------------------------------------- Luck of the Draw (G!L!W!) Mosh vs Mustafa -------------------------------------- I will save us all the pain ... "Natural Born Killaz" playing throughout the entire match which was the sole highlight. A whole lot of weapons were used. A ring bell was used to finish the match off. Mustafa pinned Mosh after hitting him with the ring bell in 0:06:32. Rating: -** 1/4 I swear, the only time I remember having a good match out of these Luck of the Draw matches was when Jyushin Lyger and Robert Thompson were chosen. Now THAT was a Luck of the Draw match. We went to some commercials and came back to John Kronus making his way down the aisle. He got into the ring and grabbed a mic, not something Kronus is known to do. JOHN KRONUS: Now, Perry, I know you are still kind of mad at me for doing what I did at Drawing of the Four, and I am sorry. But I didn't know if would make you that mad! The reason I didn't tell you before hand was because I thought it would be a great surprise. Plus, it usually wouldn't take us that much energy to deal with the Gangstas so I figured you would have an easy time of it so you could deal with Awesome later. But I am sorry, but I still think we are the best team to ever put on a pair of wrestling boots and I think we should show all these other teams exactly how good we are. ("Shamrocks and Shenanigans" by House of Pain) And Perry Saturn is heading down the aisle with the Intercontinental Title around his shoulder. He enters the ring and walks over and grabs the mic out of Kronus' hands. PERRY SATURN: Kronus, we were and probably still could be the top team in wrestling. But our time is over. I am ready to be elevated and I can't do that with you. I am with Malenko now. Malenko is taking me to the top and this title proves that. JOHN KRONUS: We both know that you can make it to the top, and I am damn sure I could make it too. But we are a lot better together. We would be kicking ass up and down the WWA. PERRY SATURN: Yeah, we would. I have no doubt about that. But still, I think ... ("Jump Around" by House of Pain) What the hell is Too Cool doing? Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor made their way down the aisle while Saturn and Kronus just looked on from the ring. Christopher and Taylor entered the ring, and Christopher walked over and grabbed a mic. BRIAN CHRISTOPHER: (giggles) This is just too funny! The "best" (using Dr. Evil fingers) tag team in wrestling can't decide if they should team back up. I guess the thing that is the most funny is that they don't realize how stupid they sound. I mean, everybody knows that the Gangstas, the Dudley Boys, the Bruise Brothers, and the Pitbulls always carried your asses! You don't stand a chance as a regular team, but keep on talking because it's the funniest thing I have ever seen. (Christpher hands the mic over to Taylor) SCOTT TAYLOR: Oh yeah, how did it feel to get your ass kicked by the Gangstas? That's something we wouldn't know anything about so we thought we would ask you. (Memo to Too Cool: Don't piss off the Eliminators.) Those were the last words Taylor got off before Saturn started walking towards him. Taylor backed up slowly and into a corner, but Saturn kept up that slow walk that was very intimidating. But once he got to Taylor he popped him one right in the nose. And another, and another, and another!!! And another! Saturn is beating the living hell out of Taylor! Brian Christopher walked over and tore Saturn off, but only got a punch of his own. Christopher staggered back and was met with a savate kick to the back of his head by John Kronus. A ref ran down the aisle and called for the bell. We apparently had a match. ------------------------------------------ Too Cool vs The Eliminators ------------------------------------------ Taylor and Christopher didn't stand much of a chance early on as Kronus and Saturn had already taken the advantage and had done it easily. Kronus lifted Christopher up and hurled him to the outside and then joined Saturn in double teaming Taylor. A boot to the midsection by Saturn was quickly followed by a scissor kick by Kronus that knocked Taylor to the mat. Saturn caught Christopher coming back in the ring and leveled him with a few forearms before throwing him right into Kronus who blasted him with a back elbow into the stomach which Saturn followed up with a faceslam. Christopher rolled over onto his back which allowed Kronus to drop a somersault legdrop. He didn't try for a cover as instead he got to his feet and started to climb to the top turnbuckle. Taylor was getting back up, but was met with a lariat by Saturn that knocked him back to the mat. Saturn grabbed ahold of one of Taylor's legs and brought him over with a single leg Boston Crab. Kronus then came flying off the top with a legdrop that crashed right across the back of Taylor's neck. Christopher got up and tore Saturn off of Taylor and hit him with a couple of quick kicks to his midsection and then a slap across the chest. Saturn fired back with one of his own, but Christopher wasn't backing down as he slapped Saturn right back. Several chops were taken and returned by both men before Kronus broke it up with a forearm to the back of Christopher's head. Christopher staggered forward and right into Saturn who lifted him up and dropped him with a Saturn Bomb. Christopher was in perfect position and so Saturn ran at the turnbuckles, jumped onto the second turnbuckle, and came flying backwards with the Saturnsault! It connected, but only got two. Taylor had made it back to his feet and caught Kronus by surprise and nailed him with a couple of punches and then a clothesline that sent both men to the outside. Apparently the ref is just there to count the three. Back in the ring Saturn lifted Christopher back to his feet, but Christopher hit him with a punch to the midsection and then brought him down with an inside cradle which had to of surprised Saturn as it surprised the ref! It took the ref a couple of seconds to get down to make the count so at the count of two Saturn was able to kick out. Taylor whipped Kronus into the guardrail and when Kronus staggered out Taylor ducked down and sent Kronus up and over his shoulder in a backdrop. Saturn and Christopher were exchanging fists in the ring and it looked as if Christopher would get the advantage, but Saturn ducked under one blow and the momentum caused Christopher to stagger forward and Saturn caught ahold of his head and his legs and lifted him up ... DEATH VALLEY DRIVER!!! Taylor went to whip Kronus into the guardrail again, but this time Kronus reversed it and Taylor hit it hard. Kronus steadied himself and then saw Saturn nail the DVD. He immediately rolled into the ring just as Saturn was lifting Christopher to his feet. Kronus walked up to the side of a worn down Christopher just as Saturn did...TOTAL ELIMINATION!!! The Eliminators defeated Too Cool when Saturn pinned Christopher after the Total Elimination in 0:08:55. Rating: ** Saturn rose to his feet and looked over at Kronus who was staring right back at him. Are we seeing the recarnation of possibly the best tag team in wrestling history? And possibly more importantly, can they recreate their magic? Can they become that team again? |
