| ------------------------------------------------------------- Billy Kidman vs Little Dragon *WWA DEBUT* ------------------------------------------------------------- Little Dragon made his WWA debut here tonight against Billy Kidman. Little Dragon had a great showing, but always seemed a step behind Kidman. That is until Chris Benoit made his way down the aisle. Kidman looked on and seemed to be surprised, but that look quickly turned into pain when Little Dragon blasted him with an enzuguiri to the back of the neck. Kidman fell as if he had been shot and Little Dragon took this time to quickly scale to the top rope. As Kidman slowly got to his feet he was taken back down with Little Dragon's Flying Somersault Huracanrana which he followed up with a cradle to score the "upset" victory. Little Dragon quickly ran off celebrating while Kidman tried to get back to his feet. Meanwhile Chris Benoit entered the ring with a chair in hand. Everybody thought he would help Kidman like he did on Monday, but instead Benoit rammed the chair straight into the face of the already hurt Kidman. Kidman fell over holding his face as blood poured out of his broken nose. Benoit followed it up with several vicious chair shots to Kidman's legs. He then picked up the very hurt Kidman and finished him off with a chair shot to the back of his head. Kidman fell straight over onto his bloody face. Benoit simply left while Kidman had to be stretchered out, leaving a huge blood stain on the mat. I don't know what got into Benoit, but he practically destroyed Kidman. Little Dragon pinned Billy Kidman with the Flying Somersault Huracanrana in 0:14:14. Rating: ** 1/2 ------------------------------------------------------------- Frank Shamrock vs Cobra ------------------------------------------------------------- Frank Shamrock with a rather easy win over Cobra after hooking on his own version of the Ankle Lock Submission. Afterwards Ken Shamrock was seen watching on from the entrance way. As soon as the bell rang Ken left, however. Too bad he didn't stick around because as soon as Frank had his arm raised he was attacked by Dean Malenko and The Giant. The Giant hit his Choke Slam a total of 4 times before a masked man came from out of the crowd! He had a dented chair in hand and entered the ring from behind. Malenko never saw the chair, but he sure felt it as it was crashed into the back of his neck. With the force of the shot Malenko fell over the top. The Giant turned around and was blasted straight across the head with it. The Giant tried to shake it off, but he was hit again and again. Finally the masked man had The Giant down to one knee and as he saw this he aimed and let loose a vicious chair shot that went straight into The Giant's face. The Giant fell over, unconcsious apparently, and didn't move after that. The masked man then left while Frank tried to get back to his feet. Frank Shamrock made Cobra submit to the Ankle Lock Submission in 0:08:27. Rating: DUD ------------------------------------------------------------- Goldberg vs David Taylor ------------------------------------------------------------- Goldberg had a very tough time on his hands with David Taylor as Taylor simply didn't want to lose. Taylor used his vast wrestling skills to keep Goldberg on the mat throughout most of the match. It was one mistake though that cost Taylor the match. Taylor was going for a suplex, but it was blocked and countered with the Jackhammer which gave Goldberg the win going into his match with Destruction at Winterfest. Goldberg better be alot tougher then he was tonight or Destruction will have no problem in sending him packing from the WWA. Bill Goldberg pinned David Taylor with the Jackhammer in 0:17:37. Rating: ** 1/2 ------------------------------------------------------------- Ken Shamrock and Jyushin Lyger vs Owen Hart and D-Lo Brown ------------------------------------------------------------- Owen Hart and D-Lo Brown then went at it with Jyushin Lyger and Ken Shamrock in what promised to be an excellent match. That it was and both teams were very "on" tonight. However, it was Robert Thompson coming out that cost Lyger and Shamrock the match as when Robert walked out it distracted Lyger long enough for D-Lo to sneak up from behind. As soon as Lyger turned around he was planted with a spinebuster that knocked him out long enough for D-Lo to get the 3 count. Owen and D-Lo were quick to leave and Owen even boasted that he would have the same luck this Monday against Lyger. Robert Thompson left as well before Lyger could wake up. The Nation (D-Lo Brown and Owen Hart) defeated Jyushin Lyger and Ken Shamrock when D-Lo pinned Lyger after a spinebuster slam in 0:17:04. Rating: ** 1/4 ------------------------------------------------------------- The Giant vs The Gladiator ------------------------------------------------------------- We then had a match that everybody was looking forward too. It was a battle of the giants as The Gladiator went up against The Giant. The Gladiator had a lot more speed, but The Giant had the advantage in strength. Both men just brawled back and forth with a little high-flying involved as well which was showed mainly by The Gladiator. However, Benoit walked out about the 20 minute mark and started walking to the ring. The Giant dropped The Gladiator with a headbutt and walked over to where Benoit was now standing. The Giant and Benoit seemed to be talking or arguing over something and finally The Giant convinced Benoit to leave ringside. When The Giant turned back around he was caught with a hard lariat which sent him to the mat long enough for The Gladiator to hook a leg and score the pinfall. A huge win for The Gladiator. The question still remains...what is up with Benoit? The Gladiator pinned The Giant after a short lariat in 0:20:33. Rating: ** |
