Brian Christopher and Little Dragon went at it in a Lightweight contest. Christopher kept up the pressure and looked to finish him off it appeared as he climbed to the top rope again. However, as soon as he got to the top he was pushed off by none other than Scott Taylor who had ran out a few seconds before. Christopher did a somersault and hit hard on the mat. Little Dragon felt the impact and woke up. He saw Christopher laying on the mat and quickly went to the top rope himself. As soon as Christopher got back to his feet he was taken back down with the Flying Somersault Huracanrana. Little Dragon made the cover and got the 3 count. Rating: ** 1/4 -------------------------------------------------------------- The Hardy Boys vs The Mexican Jumping Beans WWA DEBUT MATCH -------------------------------------------------------------- We then saw the debut of The Hardy Boys. The Hardy Boys were very impressive in their matchup against The Mexican Jumping. A good high-flying matchup, but Kid Guzman seemed to slow it down quite a bit. Wolverine ended up scoring the pinfall on Kid Guzman after Guzman hit a high crossbody, but Wolverine rolled over with it and scored the pinfall. Afterwards Surge grabbed the microphone and announced that everybody was looking at the future WWA Tag Team Champions. The Hardy's then went on to bash most of the teams in the WWA including The Gangstanators, The Head Hunters, The Extremists, and The Untouchables. Bad move as seconds later The Head Hunters came out and blasted both Hardy's with a couple of chair shots. Head Hunter #1 then hit a running powerslam on each Hardy while HH#2 followed the powerslam's up with a moonsault. The Head Hunters then left the Hardy Boys to be stretchered out. The Hardy Boys defeated The Mexican Jumping Beans when Wolverine pinned Guzman after a rollover in 0:25:55. Rating: * 1/2 -------------------------------------------------------------- Darren Drozdov vs David Taylor -------------------------------------------------------------- Darren Drozdov was looking for some revenge...instead he got his ass kicked once again. David Taylor was as impressive as he was in his last match with Droz and dominated. Droz never got in a offensive manuever and was pinned in less than 2 minutes after a Double Underhook Suplex. Taylor once again walked off laughing while Droz just shook his head wondering what the hell happened. Droz's debut matches have been alot less than great. David Taylor pinned Darren Drozdov with the Double Underhook Suplex in 0:01:33. Rating: -1/4* -------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Benoit vs Billy Kidman -------------------------------------------------------------- Billy Kidman was going after some revenge as well against Chris Benoit. Benoit seemed to be friends with Kidman for a short while, but quickly turned his back on him after he smashed him with a chair. Kidman took the advantage early as he springboard onto Benoit as he was walking down the aisle. Kidman kept the pressure on by hitting many of his flying moves which he is famous for. Benoit made a comeback later, hitting some of his chops that make even Flair jealous. Benoit looked to finish Kidman off after executing a devastating German Suplex by hooking on the Crippler Crossface. Kidman was screaming out in pain and barely made it to the ropes. This surprised alot of people, but Benoit would not let up as he picked Kidman up and dropped him with a powerbomb. He went for the cover and hooked a leg... 1... 2... 3!!! Benoit with a big win over Kidman. Kidman's revenge was foiled one more time. Benoit is working his way up the ladder and may soon have a title match of some sorts. The Giant hit the ring after the match and had a stare down with Benoit. Benoit spat on The Giant and that caused The Giant to deliver a quick blow which knocked Benoit off of his feet. The Giant was pissed and started to stomp the crap out of Benoit. He then picked him up and dropped him with a Choke Slam. Benoit was hurt and The Giant wasn't done. The Giant picked Benoit back up and dropped him with another Choke Slam. The Giant then left Benoit to be helped to the back. Benoit would have none of it, however, as he pushed each referee away that tried to help him and he made it to the back under his own power. Chris Benoit pinned Billy Kidman after a power bomb in 0:12:47. Rating: ** 1/2 -------------------------------------------------------------- Robert Thompson vs Ken Shamrock WWA TV TITLE ON THE LINE -------------------------------------------------------------- The main event was next as Robert Thompson tried to defend his title against Ken Shamrock. Ken Shamrock came out first and it was pretty obvious he was in "the Zone." Robert came out next and the match was on. These put on a clinic of mat wrestling which the crowd seemed to like for a change. The ending came in a controversial fashion as Ken had Robert setup for the Ankle Lock Submission when Frank Shamrock walked out. Ken looked at him instead of going for the kill and asked him what he was doing. Frank replied by saying he was here to cheer him onto victory. Ken smiled and turned around only to be hit in the stomach with a kick and dropped with the Double Arm DDT. Robert hooked a leg and... 1... 2... 3!!! Robert Thompson had defeated Ken Shamrock with a major comeback. Robert took his title and left before Owen Hart or Jyushin Lyger could show their heads while Frank walked off as well. When Ken woke up you could hear him screaming "Damn you Frank!" Looks like all is not well with the Shamrock brothers. Robert Thompson pinned Ken Shamrock with the Double Arm DDT in 0:26:24.
