| ("War Machine" starts and we go through the opening video with the following clips: Spike Dudley hitting the Acid Drop on D-Lo Brown, Too Cold Scorpio nailing the 450 on Fit Finlay, Jeff Hardy blasting New Jack over the head with a guitar, The Extremists standing on opposite turnbuckles, Too Cool brawlin it out with the Dragon Kid and Juventud Guerrera, Ken Shamrock putting Frank Shamrock in the Ankle Lock Submission, Saturn dropping Chris Benoit with the Death Valley Driver, Benoit putting Saturn in the Crippler Crossface, Bigelow and Lee executing their finishers from the top rope through tables onto the Extremists, Robert Thompson dropping Jyushin Lyger with the Double Arm DDT, Mike Awesome executing the Awesome Bomb on The Giant, Dean Malenko putting the Texas Cloverleaf on Benoit, and then Malenko holding the World Title over his head.) Who is going to come out for interview time? ("War Pigs" by Black Sabbath) Who else? Looks like it will be Dean Malenko out first. He walks out through the entrance curtain with Saturn, Sid, and the masked rail jumper right behind him. The first thing most of us notice is that Dean Malenko has the World Title around his shoulder as does Saturn with the Universal Title. For those who didn't order the PPV last night, yes, it's true. Dean Malenko is still the World Heavyweight Champion and Saturn is the new Universal Champion. Dean barely got the victory by eliminating Chris Benoit in the end, but only with help from the returning Frank Shamrock. Malenko enters the ring as do the other three and Malenko grabs the mic. DEAN MALENKO: I have finally proved once and for all that I am the best damn wrestler any of you have ever seen! I beat three guys out there last night. There isn't any doubt about that. Raven, Benoit, and Shamrock couldn't get the job done. With all of them together they still couldn't get the job done! Maybe now they will realize the cold, hard truth. But lets look at the other things that happened last night. shall we? Saturn beat Mike Awesome to become the Universal Champion. Congradulations, Perry. Maybe now that asshole will realize he doesn't stand a chance against anybody standing in this ring. But now I have something to say about that. You see, Universal does sound quite a bit larger than World. It almost sounds like that title is better than mine so we have to fix that right now. Perry, what do you think of being called the Intercontinental Champion? (Dean hands the mic over to Perry.) PERRY SATURN: Eh, okay. I like continents so it's okay. (Perry gives the mic back.) DEAN MALENKO: All hail your new Intercontinental Champion, Perry Saturn! (The crowd doesn't really care and stays quiet. Luckily that problem has been solved without too much of a mess.) DEAN MALENKO: Now we also have this masked guy behind me to talk about. For now none of you need to know who he is, but just let me say that he is one of the best wrestlers the WWA has ever seen. He is a very good friend of mine and I am very glad I talked him into joining me here in the WWA. Now this leaves me with one other person. (Dean turns to face Sid.) DEAN MALENKO: Sid, I usually only allow two people to follow me. And I usually make them be talented. That is why I had to get rid of the Giant. But I am thinking I am going to let up on that rule and let you stay. After all, you really helped us out last night. And with that the masked man walks behind Sid and pulls the lead pipe out of his pants! HE SMASHES IT ACROSS THE BACK OF SID'S HEAD! Sid falls down to one knee and Saturn blasts him with a kick across the head. Dean nails him with the World Title! What in the world is going on here? All three lay the boots to Sid until some security runs down and pulls them off. They proceed to drag Sid to the back. DEAN MALENKO: Sid! YOU AREN'T SHIT! You can never do anything right! You got your ass kicked by Mike Awesome last night and that is something I just cannot stand! I will not allow somebody like that to follow me! You are worthless! Go back and play softball because it is obvious you don't have what it takes to make it here. (Dean takes a deep breath and becomes calm again.) But for tonight, as for tonight, I have no challenger. I have nobody left to try and beat me. If there is even one person in the back that thinks that they can beat me than I want you to come on down the aisle and prove it! Dean continues to stand in the ring with Saturn and the masked man for a couple of moments. They have a little discussion. Malenko seems to be pretty certain nobody is going to show up and after a minute all three get ready to leave the ring and Malenko is even half way out when ... ("Epic" by Faith No More) Wait...that's the Dragon Kid's music!!!!! THE DRAGON KID, THE ULTIMO DRAGON, AND JUVENTUD GUERRERA STEPPED OUT FROM THE CURTAIN! The Dragon Kid has the Lightweight Title around his waist. Malenko is in shock and re-enters the ring and starts kicking the bottom turnbuckles and throwing a fit. The Dragon Kid has a mic and he waits until Dean calms down. THE DRAGON KID: You said anybody, and I think it's time for me to finally be elevated to the next level. Dean, I can be more than just a lightweight. I have my mentor and a good friend at my side as well. Tonight we prove who the better man is. After all, isn't that what you are always about? Proving who is better? Tonight we prove that I am the better man! Tonight we prove that I am more than just a lightweight and tonight we prove that I am World Heavyweight Champion material! DEAN MALENKO: You want some of this? You want some of me? I am ready for you! I don't care who you are or that you are the Lightweight Champ, I am more than capable of beating your ass tonight! THE DRAGON KID: Good. At least you are a man of your word. But I am not waiting until later on tonight. And with that the Dragon Kid, the Ultimo Dragon, and Juvy are charging the ring! Malenko, Saturn, and the masked man all get ready, but they don't have much time as the Dragon Kid slides into the ring and attacks Malenko. The Ultimo Dragon does the same with Saturn and Juvy hooks it up with the masked man. Malenko gets the upper hand quickly on the Dragon Kid, but tries a dropkick to the knee, but the Kid jumps over it! Malenko gets right back up, but is blasted with a dropkick followed by a clothesline that sends Malenko flying over the top. Meanwhile Ultimo gives Saturn a chop to the throat that sends Perry over and Juvy nails the masked man with a dropkick that sends him flying over the top rope. The Lightweight Champion and his entourage has cleared the ring! Malenko, Saturn, and the masked man regroup on the outside and head to the back, but Malenko is pointing at the Kid and talking some trash. What a main event for tonight, Dean Malenko versus the Dragon Kid, World Title on the line!!! (Commercials) We come back and immediately goto the back as Sid Vicious apparently has found a camera man and has cornered him. SID VICIOUS: So, Dean, you want to get rid of me? It isn't going to be that easy. You want to throw me out of your little stable you have going on, fine. But do it to my face. Don't attack me from behind like the pussy we all know you are. So here is a challenge I am throwing out. I know you got your hands full with that little Dragon Kid, but I don't see Perry having a match tonight. So, Perry, why not put up that Universal...oops, that would mean it was over Dean's title. Why not put that Intercontinental Title on the line tonight and I'll show just what I can do. Looks like Sid Vicious isn't happy. But what a match that will be between two former tag team mates in Perry Saturn and Vicious. It's not going to be pretty. ------------------------------------------------------ Juvy Guerrera vs Brian Christopher ------------------------------------------------------ Brian Christoper has made it to Terror! He has been wrestling on Heat for quite awhile and is in the midst of a feud with the Dragon Kid, Juvy, and now the Ultimo Dragon. Christopher came close to winning the Lightweight Championship last night, but Kidman and the Dragon Kid were just too much for him. Juventud Guerrera had a good night last night as he defeated Scott Taylor in convincing fashion. He was stuck in limbo until he became friends with the Dragon Kid and now he his being elevated. He needs a win here to continue it though. Of note, neither Scott Taylor, the Ultimo Dragon, or the Dragon Kid were at ringside. A quick exchange of fists was given and Christopher easily got the upper hand in that. Brian used this early opening to his advantage as he nailed Juvy with a couple of dropkicks followed by a clothesline that sent Juvy into a 180. Christopher kept up the offense as he dropped Juvy with a vertical suplex, but he made a huge mistake as he went up top and went for the Tennessee Jam way too early and Juvy had an easy time in rolling out of the way. Both men got back to their feet, but Christopher was hurting. Juvy hit him with a couple of kicks to the midsection and whipped him into the ropes. Christopher was taken down by a superkick, but when Juvy went for the cover it only got two. Juvy pulled Christopher to his feet and smashed him with an elbow right across the bridge of his nose. Brian was a little stunned and Juvy grabbed ahold of him and dropped him with a Soviet Suplex. Juvy started working in some mat wrestling and kept Christopher down for a short while, but Christopher fought back with some mat wrestling of his own and hooked on an armbar. It took Juvy awhile, but he eventually fought his way out of it. Juvy got up and dropped Christopher with a back suplex followed by the People's Legdrop, a cover only got two. Juvy went straight to the air now that he had the distinct advantage as he hit with a few dropkicks, leg lariats, and a huracanrana. On this last move, however, Christopher caught him and dropped him with a vicious powerbomb. Christopher cradled the legs over...and got the three count! Brian Christopher pinned Juventud Guerrera after a power bomb in 0:07:32. Rating: ** 1/4 Scott Taylor ran down the aisle after the match and gave Christopher a big hug and the lights went down...time to dance!!! And a picture of a fat ass came down from the ceiling!!!! (Commercials) We came back to Commissioner Tully Blanchard as he was standing in the ring with a microphone. We had heard rumors that he had something to say about the main event at our next supercard, Contact, but nobody has been able to find out what exactly it what the announcement would be. We were getting ready to find out. TULLY BLANCHARD: I know everybody is wondering what the main event is going to be for Contact. I know we have three top contenders for the title. All three of them deserve the title shot, but I am not going to throw out another four corners match. No, I am going to do what nobody else has had the balls to do. I am going to let the fans decide who deserves the match more than the other two! Mike Awesome (crowd goes apeshit), Chris Benoit (the building shakes with cheers), and ... Jyushin Lyger (crowd cheers, but is kind of surprised at his name being in there). Mike Awesome is obviously a contender. He held the Universal Title for several months making him the #1 contender, but he never got the shot at the title. Chris Benoit has been constantly cheated out of his title matches and has never gotten a fair shake. And somebody that may surprise a lot of you, Jyushin Lyger, has split a couple of matches with Dean Malenko. He also put on one hell of a match with Robert Thompson last night, and unfortunately he isn't with us tonight as he is in the hospital. Here is the deal, if Mike Awesome is chosen than Chris Benoit will face Ken Shamrock at Contact and Jyushin Lyger will face the masked rail jumper that is with Dean Malenko. If Chris Benoit is chosen than Mike Awesome will face the masked rail jumper and Jyushin Lyger will face Ken Shamrock, and if Jyushin Lyger is chosen than Mike Awesome will face the masked rail jumper and Chris Benoit will face Ken Shamrock. So what I am asking for all the fans to do is to either call the WWA offices at 555-4WWA or e-mail the WWA at [email protected] and tell us who you want to face the champion. The person with the most votes gets the shot at Contact and will face Dean Malenko for the World Heavyweight Title! (crowd pops big again) ("Come With Me" by Puff Daddy) Uh-oh. That means Mike Awesome is coming down the aisle, and there he is! He is calmly walking down the aisle. He looks rather odd without his Universal Title around his shoulder. Who would of thought he would of ever lost it? Awesome slides into the ring and grabs the mic out of Tully's hand. MIKE AWESOME: You're saying I am on the same level as Benoit and Lyger? Everybody knows that I am way above both of them and that neither man could ever even come close to beating me. I deserve that title shot more than anybody, I have dominated everybody I have stepped into the ring against. I am getting screwed out of this title shot! TULLY BLANCHARD: Fine, if everybody knows you deserve it like you claim they do than you will get the shot. MIKE AWESOME: This is just a bunch of bull... ("Song 2" by Blur) Chris Benoit is in the house! Benoit walks slowly down the aisle, and is limping from his match yesterday. He has been through a lot in the past couple of days, but he isn't going to let Awesome talk that way about him. Chris Benoit slides into the ring and grabs the mic out of Awesome's hand. CHRIS BENOIT: So you think you are getting screwed? How about this, you have a title match on the biggest supercard in WWA history, you are this close to winning the title from that asshole, Dean, and than all of a sudden somebody pulls you out of the ring which later ends up costing you the match. And then just yesterday, you are moments away from winning the title when you get screwed over by somebody who you thought was your friend. You go through all that and then you can say you are getting screwed. Until then, just shut...your...mouth! BENOIT SLAPPED AWESOME ACROSS THE CHEEK!!!! CHRIS BENOIT: I deserve this match, I deserve a clean and fair rematch, I deserve my revenge! Awesome is still touching his cheek as he looks to be in shock. But instead of going after Benoit, he calmly steps over the top rope, drops down to the floor and walks to the back. Benoit watches him walk away before getting back on the mic. CHRIS BENOIT: These fans know who deserves this match, and I know they want to see me win this title. Benoit slams the mic into Blanchard's chest and walks out as well. Blanchard just looks on in shock at these turn of events. (Commercials) --------------------------------------------------- The Extremists vs The Untouchables --------------------------------------------------- The Extremists had something to prove here as they were on the losing side of things last night at Drawing of the Four as they were beaten by the team of D'Lo Brown and Mike Quackenbush. D'Lo and Mike will now go onto face the tag champs at Contact while the Extremists are left trying to fight their way back up to the top of the ladder. The once unbeatable team doesn't seem so unbeatable anymore. The Untouchables, on the other hand, haven't been doing much as of late. They were once heavy contenders for the tag titles, but that was four-five months ago. But to silence their critics Corino and Strong need to pull away with a big win. This could be that win. The crowd was behind the Extremists in this match, surprisingly. Ever since Devon Storm has practically admitted he smokes pot the fans have really begun to like the Extremists. A four man brawl errupted quickly that was pretty even early on until Devon dropped down to his knees and nailed Corino with a low blow. This allowed Devon to walk over and help Ace deal with Strong. Ace and Devon blasted him with a double clothesline that sent Strong to the outside. Corino was back up and charged at the Extremists, but they both ducked under and back bodydropped him to the outside and onto Strong! The Extremists pick up the early advantage. Corino and Strong stayed on the outside and regrouped and came up with a plan. Corino slid back into the ring and was immediately mauled by the Extremists. They whipped him into the ropes, but didn't see Strong slide in from behind. He hit a double axehandle on the back of Devon's neck while Corino flew through the air on the rebound and hit a flying crossbody onto Ace, but that only got two. Strong picked Devon up and threw him over the top and to the outside and joined Corino in beating down Darling. Corino picked Ace up and whipped him in a lariat delivered by Strong. Strong and Corino kept up the double teaming and hit a double back suplex. Strong then grabbed Ace as if he were going for a DDT, but Corino walked over and picked up the legs of Ace! Strong then dropped the DDT! What a vicious move! Devon had seen enough on the outside as he rolled into the ring and turned Strong around and blasted him with a spinning thrust kick to the head. Strong staggered backwards and Storm nailed him with a clothesline that sent them both to the outside. Corino still had the advantage on Ace inside the ring as he whipped him into the turnbuckles, but Ace came flying out of the corner with a dropkick that connected right with Corino's jaw. Devon booted Strong in the stomach and went to lift him up in a suplex, but Strong blocked it a couple of times before lifting Devon up himself and dropped him with a suplex on the concrete! Devon was hurting while Strong got up on the ring apron. Ace went for a huracanrana, but Corino caught him and dropped him with a powerbomb. He grabbed ahold of Ace's legs and hooked him in a figure-four leglock. Ace desperately tried to roll over and reverse the hold, but Corino wouldn't let him. Eventually it looked like Ace was going to reverse it and so Corino released the hold before he could and got up and dropped an elbow across Ace's chest. He walked over and made the tag to Strong. Strong picked Ace up and whipped him into the ropes. As Ace came off the rebound Strong caught him and dropped him with a powerslam. 1... 2... KICKOUT! Ace still has something left in him! The Untouchables seemed a little surprised that Ace kicked out. They picked him up and started to hit some more double team moves trying to finally put Ace away and win this big tag team match, but Devon had other plans. The ref walked over and tried to break up the obvious double teaming, meanwhile Devon Storm climbed to the top turnbuckle. The ref got the Untouchables finally off of Ace, but as Strong turned around he was blasted with a missile dropkick! Corino had exited the ring and thought he and Strong had the match won. Devon made the cover on a completely stunned Strong! 1... 2... 3!!! The Extremists defeated The Untouchables when D. Storm pinned Strong after a missile dropkick in 0:08:44. Rating: * 3/4 Devon Storm got right back to his feet and pulled Ace up with him. Devon hugged Ace and got up on the second turnbuckle and rose his arms in celebration. Corino entered the ring and checked on his partner. Strong wasn't hurt at all, just stunned. Corino helped Strong to his feet and they looked like they would go after the Extremists, but instead decided to leave the scene. They exited the ring and headed towards the back. Ace regained some of his energy and joined Devon in the celebration, but they didn't see Bam Bam Bigelow and Brian Lee running down the aisle with chairs. They slid into the ring just as Ace was turning around. Ace charged Bigelow, but only got a chair shot for his troubles. Devon heard the crack of a chair and got off the turnbuckle and charged Prime Time, but got the same. Lee and Bigelow started to lay the boots to the Extremists. Why? Why are the tag champs doing this? Who knows if we will ever know, possibly because the Extremists just piss them off and since they didn't win last night the champs wouldn't be getting a piece of them. But that's just an educated guess. This went on for quite awhile until some officials and security ran down the aisle and broke it up. We were taken to the back and centered in on a door that was closed that apparently was leading to the outside. All of a sudden the door opened and a crutch held it open and Jyushin Lyger hopped in on another crutch!!! JYUSHIN LYGER IS IN THE BUILDING!!!! Jyushin Lyger, with another neck brace, got himself balanced and started hopping down the hall on his crutches. After a set of commercials we were ready for our next match. ---------------------------------------------- Matt Hardy vs Too Cold Scorpio ---------------------------------------------- We are just one night gone from where Matt Hardy sickened us all as he smashed a pane of glass over his own brother's head. It not only gave Bigelow and Lee the victory over them, but it also totally destroyed the relationship between the Hardy's. Jeff isn't here tonight as he is being treated for the numerous injuries he received. He also had tons of cuts over his body. Too Cold Scorpio hasn't been doing a whole lot recently. Basically he has backed up Chris Benoit in his battles with Dean Malenko whenever Chris has needed it, but lately Chris has gone off with Lyger to form a very close friendship leaving Scorpio behind. Scorpio needs to get back on the winning track. Both men are known for their aerial skills, but can also brawl if the need arises. Especially Matt Hardy who has become a little pyscho as of late. I mean that in the nicest way. Scorpio came out first with Hardy following. Matt still had that spaced out look on his face and a lot of us realized that this wasn't the normal Matt Hardy we were used to seeing. Once the bell rang they came out of their corners and immediately started exchanging fists. Scorpio got the upper hand here and Matt fell back into the corner. Scorpio hit a combo of punches and kicks to the stomach and face which he followed up with a jumping thrust kick that sent Matt staggering out of the corner. Before Matt could fall flat on his face, however, Scorpio clobbered him from behind with an enzuguiri. Matt went down while Scorpio played up the crowd a little with some dancing. He grabbed a fistful of hair and threw him into the corner where he proceeded to deliver a couple of chops to Matt's chest. Matt let these soak in before grabbing ahold of Scorpio and reversing it on him. Matt hit a couple of his own and whipped Scorpio into the turnbuckle. Matt came charging in with a splash, but Scorpio moved out of the way and Matt hit the turnbuckles full steam. Matt staggered back and right into a back suplex. Scorpio went straight to the top, but missed his flying legdrop as Matt rolled out of the way. Both men got back to their feet quickly, but Matt took Scorpio right down with a spinning leg lariat. Matt went right to work on Scorpio hitting a couple of dropkicks followed by a clothesline that took Scorpio down. Matt springboarded himself to the top turnbuckle and came flying off with a huracanrana as Scorpio was getting to his feet. Matt kept up the advantage and dominated the next few minutes with his aerial skill. Surprisingly we weren't seeing much of the hardcore wrestling that Matt has become so good at. A couple of dropkicks were hit which were followed by a legdrop and a frog splash from the top rope, but it only got two. Matt's offense stopped there as when they got back to their feet Matt went for a clothesline, but Scorpio ducked under it and nailed a superkick as Matt was turning back around. Matt went down, but pulled himself right back to his feet only to be pushed into the corner where Scorpio delivered a quick session of knees right into Matt's gut. Matt started to stagger out of the corner only to have Scorpio grab a handful of hair and hurl him to the outside. Matt landed hard and seemed to be out of it. Scorpio took this time to climb to the top turnbuckle and waited there until Matt rose to his feet. Once he had Scorpio came flying off with a full out body attack which hit it's mark, but at the same time Scorpio crashed neck first onto the guardrail. Scorpio fell back, clutching at his throat, while Matt tried to get to his feet. Once Matt was back up he slid into the ring. Scorpio wasn't far behind, but was obviously suffering. Matt picked Scorpio up and dropped him with a bodyslam before climbing up to the top. He raised his arms into the air and came flying off with a picture perfect elbow that connected right with Scorpio's chest. Matt made the cover! 1... 2... Nope! Kickout! Matt didn't seem too upset as he got right to his feet and pulled Scorpio up with him. He whipped Scorpio into the ropes and leapfrogged over him on the rebound, but the ref was in the way and Scorpio smashed heads with him. The ref went down while Scorpio staggered for a couple of seconds until Matt booted him in the stomach, grabbed him as if going for the DDT, TWISTED FATE!!! NO REF! Matt Hardy got up and tried to shake the ref awake with no luck. BILLY KIDMAN IS RUNNING DOWN THE AISLE WITH A CHAIR! Kidman slid into the ring, but Matt saw him. Matt ducked under the first wild chair shot, and went to dropkick the chair back into Kidman's face only to have Kidman move out of the way. Matt got right back to his feet only to have the chair crashed down over his head. Matt went down hard while Kidman went to the outside and headed to the back. Scorpio was back up and saw that Matt was in the perfect position. He made his way up to the top turnbuckle and came flying off with a picture perfect Tumbleweed. The ref slowly made his way over and made a very slow count. 1... 2... 3!!! Too Cold Scorpio pinned Matt Hardy after the Tumbleweed in 0:12:02. Rating: **** Scorpio got to his feet and rolled to the outside and went to the back. Matt had to use the ropes to get back to his feet, but he had that look in his eye that he was going to murder somebody. The ref went over to check on him only to be booted in the midsection and dropped with a DDT. Matt stalked his way to the back to try and find Kidman apparently. Still, Billy Kidman, Jeff Hardy's best friend has come to get his revenge for Matt's betrayal. Matt and Billy have never liked eachother, but after Drawing of the Four things have escalated. After a batch of commercials we went to the back where Jyushin Lyger is sitting in a chair having a can of RC-Cola (yeah, baby!!!), his crutches are leaned up against a nearby table. Chris Benoit walks up and seems somewhat shocked to see Lyger in the building, but pulls up a chair. CHRIS BENOIT: Hey! I thought you weren't going to be here tonight. JYUSHIN LYGER: Hell, you think I would give up an oppurtunity to be in an arena without Robert? CHRIS BENOIT: So I take it you heard about Blanchard's decision. JYUSHIN LYGER: Yeah, I did. Should be pretty interesting. CHRIS BENOIT: Yeah it could be, but Jyushin...I want to ask you a favor. I have never asked such a big favor from anybody before, but I need to do this. Drop your name out of the running. Go out there and say you don't want the shot. This title shot is very important to me. It might be my last chance at finally getting my revenge on Malenko and taking that title, and if I don't get it here everybody is going to leave me in the dust and you and I both know it. JYUSHIN LYGER: Man, I hear what you are saying. And I understand all of it and I know it had to be hard to come here and ask me it, but I can't do it. CHRIS BENOIT: What? JYUSHIN LYGER: I know you want your revenge, and I will be there to help you get it, but somebody has to beat Dean. Somebody has to! I don't know if Mike can do it. And even if he could I wouldn't want it to be him. He's an asshole. But, Chris, this is going to hurt, but I don't think you can beat Dean. CHRIS BENOIT: What did you say? JYUSHIN LYGER: Chris, you have had so many chances, so many oppurtunities, but you haven't been able to do it. I just don't think you can beat him right now. But somebody has to, and I know I can. I am sorry, Chris, and I know I have a very slim chance of the fans actually choosing me, but I feel I am the only option left. I am the only wrestler that either can or should defeat Malenko. I really am sorry. (Jyushin grabs his crutches and stands up. He leaves his can of Cola behind on the table as he limps off. Chris watches him the entire way.) ========================== I've been here... ========================== Forever... ========================== My first apperance... ========================== Didn't go off so well... ========================== But I am still here... ========================== Just because you can't see me... ========================== Means nothing... ========================== I will return... ========================== And when I do... ========================== The pain and suffering... ========================== I have lived through... ========================== Will come with me. ========================== ------------------------------------------- Intercontinental Title! Perry Saturn(c) vs Sid ------------------------------------------- Sid is on his own for the first time in the WWA, as just earlier tonight Malenko kicked him out of his gang. Sid is out for revenge against his former tag team partner. Perry Saturn is coming off a huge win over Mike Awesome although it did not come without controversy as without the masked rail jumper it is doubtful that Saturn would of ever walked away with the Universal...oops, Intercontinental Title. Things started off fast as Sid charged Saturn with a clothesline, but Perry ducked under it and gave Sid a big savate kick as Sid was turning around. Sid stayed on his feet, but was met with a rapid series of kicks to the stomach followed by a jumping side kick that knocked Sid down. Sid got back to his feet, but was immediately thrown into the ropes. Saturn went to leap frog over Sid, but Sid stopped in mid stride and caught Saturn around the neck....CHOKE SLAM!!! Saturn rolled to the outside, clutching at his neck, while Sid put his hand to his ear (ala Hogan) to a rather large amount of cheers. Saturn stayed on the outside to catch his breath. He finally was ready as he climbed up the steps and reentered the ring. Sid was ready to go right after him, but the ref held him back. Once Saturn was fully in the ring the ref released Sid. Sid charged right at Saturn, but Saturn dropped onto his side and brought Sid down with a leg takedown. Sid fell flat on his face and Saturn hooked it into a leglock. Sid immediately grabbed the ropes causing the break. Saturn and Sid were back up in an instant, but Saturn had the advantage and kept it with a couple of punches to the face before whipping Sid into the ropes and nailing Sid with a flying clothesline. Sid went crashing down to the mat while Saturn sprung back to his feet and dropped a couple of legs across Sid's face. Sid didn't seem to sell these too well as when Saturn got back to his feet Sid was right there with him. Saturn seemed shocked and could do nothing to block a couple of swift punches to his face. Saturn stumbled back and into the ropes. Sid grabbed ahold of Saturn's arm and whipped him into the ropes and on the rebound ducked his head going for a back bodydrop, but Saturn stopped himself and instead dropped Sid with a Rocker Dropper. Saturn decided to try and end it as he pointed to the turnbuckles and headed towards them. He got himself to the top turnbuckle before flying off with the elbow from the heavens, but Sid rolled out of the way!!! Saturn got right back to his feet, but was holding his elbow in pain. He had no chance of having any defense as Sid nailed him with a big boot that knocked Saturn back on his ass. At this time out came Dean Malenko with the World Title. The ref and Sid saw this and immediately started arguing with him. Of course, that meant nobody saw the masked man jump over the guardrail with his lead pipe and slide into the ring. Sid heard something and turned around only to be hammered with the pipe right between the eyes. Sid fell to the mat while the masked man jumped between the middle ropes and to the outside just before the ref turned back around. Saturn was back up and had just enough energy to drop an elbow across Sid's chest and held on for the cover which easily got the three count. Perry Saturn pinned Sid Vicious with an elbowdrop in 0:08:32. Rating: -** (Perry Saturn retained the WWA Intercontinental Title.) Perry Saturn rose to his feet just as Malenko and the masked man re-entered the ring. Malenko quickly dropped the ref with a right hand before all three men started to really lay the boots to Sid. They helped Saturn lift him up so that Saturn could nail a vicious (no pun intended) Death Valley Driver which led up to Saturn hooking on the Rings of Saturn. Sid was screaming out in pain while Malenko looked on with approval. Finally Malenko had enough and called Saturn off. All three made their way to the back while several refs came out to check up on Sid. (We cut to the back where Benoit and Lyger had their discussion. The chairs are still where they were as is the RC Cola can on the table. Into the scene comes Super Nova. He looks around, realizes nobody is around, picks up the Cola and takes a drink from it. Nova spits it out and looks at the can with a disgusted look on his face. He then sets the can back on the table and walks off.) After another set of commercials it was time to go to the ring where Ken and Frank Shamrock were. Frank had a mic and apparently had something to say. Hopefully we would get his reasoning behind turning on Chris Benoit last night and probably costing him the World Heavyweight Title. FRANK SHAMROCK: How does it feel, Benoit? How does it feel to have a friend turn their back on you? Not too good? Well, then maybe you realize what it felt like for me. What it felt like when I was getting my leg broken, my brother being forced to watch, and nobody coming out to rescue us! You were in the building. You were watching on a monitor! Why weren't you there?!? Chris, you were simply looking out for your own interests because you knew that either Ken or I would of taken the title off of Dean and then you would never of gotten your big match. And now, because of you, I may never wrestle again. Yes, that's right, my knee is so badly fucked up that I may never wrestle again, and that probably makes you the happiest man alive. But Chris, I have Ken. I have Ken Shamrock willing to get my revenge for me. He is going to tear you apart. Chris, Ken's going to tear your heart out. ---------------------------------------------------- Ken Shamrock vs Spike Dudley ---------------------------------------------------- Spike Dudley entered the ring and was immediately blasted with a couple of swift kicks to the midsection and then Shamrock just went crazy. He blasted Spike with a clothesline, sat on top of Spike and hooked his arms with his legs and started beating the holy crap out of him with punches to the face. Spike tried all he could to get out of it, but Shamrock wasn't letting up. Punch after punch was poured down on Spike until Spike was a horrible bloody mess. Finally the ref had seen enough and grabbed ahold of Ken by his ears and tore him off of Spike. Ken got up in an outrage and got right in the ref's face. This allowed Spike just enough time to crawl over to the corner and try to catch some of his breath, but he was having troubles trying to see due to the blood pouring down his face. Ken was smart enough to realize that he shouldn't hit the ref and turned back around to find Spike. Spike was back to his feet, but was using the ropes to keep from falling on a face. Ken thought he easily had the match won, but Spike was still in it as when Ken started to walk towards Spike he came out of the corner with a dropkick to Ken's face. Ken staggered back and Spike nailed him with another causing Ken to fall back into the corner. Spike got up and in Ken's face and hit him with a couple of uppercuts followed by whipping him into the turnbuckles and nailing him with a clothesline as he charged in. Ken was now on the defensive. Spike dropped Ken with a vertical suplex and decided it was time to go up top. He climbed up to the top turnbuckle and came flying off with a kneedrop that connected right with Ken's forehead. A cover was made, but a two count was all that was given. Spike didn't know what else to do so he picked Ken up and threw him in between the ropes and to the outside. Ken landed on his feet, but Spike remedied that situation very fast as he grabbed ahold of the top rope and springboarded himself to the outside with a plancha that took Ken down. Ken and Spike got up to their feet at about the same time, but Spike delivered first as he kicked Ken low and grabbed ahold of his head and proceeded to run up the guardrail and hit a swinging bulldog on the outside!!! Ken seemed to be out of it while Frank looked on with concern. In fact, Frank got a little too close and so Spike nailed him with a couple of punches and then went low on Frank!!! Frank bent over in pain allowing Spike to grab ahold of his head and he ran up the guardrail one more time and this time hit the Acid Drop on the concrete!!! Frank was done for. This allowed Ken enough time to get back to his feet and as Spike was getting back to his feet Ken charged Spike and nailed him with a clothesline that took the Dudley off his feet. Shamrock threw Spike back into the ring and came in after him. Spike was up, but his cut was apparently reopened on the outside and the blood started to pour again. Spike could hardly see, and could do nothing to block Ken nailing him with a dropkick to the knee. Spike's knee bent at an awkward angle and he fell flat on his face. But Ken wasn't done, he picked Spike up and whipped him into the turnbuckles and went to the air as he brought Spike down with a Frankensteiner. But he hooked the leg instead of going for the Ankle Lock Submission. 1... 2... 3!!! And that's that. Ken Shamrock pinned Spike Dudley after a Frankensteiner in 0:08:39. Rating: * 3/4 Ken got up and went to check on his brother, but his brother was already up and had grabbed a chair. He slid it into the ring before sliding into the ring himself. He raised the chair up over his head and sent it crashing down onto Spike's apparently injured leg. And he continued to do so. Chair shot after chair shot was sent down onto Spike's leg and Ken only looked on with approval. It took the ref awihle, but he eventually wrestled the chair away from Frank only to have Ken grab ahold of Spike's leg and hook it in the Ankle Lock Submission!!! At this time Frank nailed the ref and threw him to the outside. More officials came down, but each one was dealt with by Frank. ("Song 2" by Blur) That's Benoit's music!!! Once the Shamrocks heard the music they released Spike and looked towards the entrance. Chris Benoit stepped out from the entrance curtain and the fans erupted into cheers. All eyes were on him, but he wasn't making his way down the aisle. And Too Cold Scorpio just came from the crowd! He jumped over the guardrail and has a chair as company. He entered the ring from behind and sent a chair crashing into the back of Ken's head. Frank turned around, but got a chair between the eyes. Frank hit the mat while Scorpio rolled Spike to the outside and exited the ring as well. He lifted Spike up and put him on his shoulder and carried him to the back while Benoit continued to look on at the two fallen Shamrocks. We were ready for our main event after some more commercials. This was going to be good. -------------------------------------------------- World Title! Dean Malenko(c) vs The Dragon Kid -------------------------------------------------- The World Heavyweight Champion versus The World Light Heavyweight Champion! The Dragon Kid came down the aisle along with the Ultimo Dragon and Juventud Guerrera. Dean Malenko was accompanied by Perry Saturn and his masked henchman. But as soon as they were all down at ringside the Dragon Kid and Dean Malenko talked to their respected partners. And Ultimo Dragon and Juvy headed to the back! Apparently the Kid wanted to do this on his own. For that matter Malenko was pointing to the back himself. Saturn looked to be in a argument with Malenko over what was going on, but Malenko won it, as he always does, and Saturn and the masked man headed to the back as well! This was going to be one-on-one. The bell rang... A lock-up was quickly won by Malenko who pushded the Kid into the corner. A couple of hard chops across the Kid's chest followed, but the Kid sucked them in and reversed it on Malenko. Malenko was then on the receiving end of a couple of chops to the chest followed by a couple of punches to the head. The Kid pushed Malenko over to the middle of the ring and whipped him into the ropes. Malenko came off with a clothesline which the Kid ducked under. Malenko hit the opposite ropes and came off fast only to be taken down with a dropkick that connected with his jaw. Malenko was right back to his feet, but was immediately thrown back into the ropes. The Kid dropped down onto his stomach, Malenko jumped over him, and hit the opposite ropes and came back. This time the Kid jumped over Malenko in a leap frog which sent Malenko into the ropes again. On this rebound Malenko was taken off his feet and sent crashing into the ground with a big hiptoss. Malenko landed and rolled to the outside very quickly, trying to slow the pace down. The Kid wasn't going to allow him too, however, as he ran up the turnbuckle and then came flying off with a somersault plancha!!! Both men slammed into the guardrail with that move, but the Kid was back to his feet first. He picked Malenko up and threw him into the ring. He waited on the ring apron for Malenko to get back up and once he had he springboarded himself to the inside with a bodyblock! Cover! 1... 2... Nope! Kickout in two! Malenko was obviously surprised by the flurry of offense by the Kid and could do nothing to stop it. Malenko fought to get to his feet, but once he was up he was thrown into the ropes again by the Kid. This time the Kid went for a huracanrana, but Malenko saw what was coming and held on instead of going over...powerbomb! The Dragon Kid went down hard while Malenko was given the oppurtunity to catch some of his breath. Once Malenko saw that the Dragon Kid was trying to return to his feet he walked over and started to lay the boots to him, especially targeting in on the leg of the Kid. The Kid tried to crawl out of the way, but Malenko was relentless and was beating the hell out of the Kid. The Kid finally found a way out of it as he nailed a legsweep taking Malenko down and gave the Kid enough time to get to his feet. Malenko was right back up with him, but Malenko tried to throw a wild clothesline which did not connect as the Kid ducked under. Malenko turned around and was immediately given a couple of hard rights and then clotheslined up and out of the ring. Malenko landed on his feet, but his momentum sent him staggering back and into the guardrail. The Dragon Kid meanwhile went to the opposite side of the ring and charged...cartwheel, wait a second, SPACE FLYING TIGERDROP ONTO MALENKO!!!! Both men went crashing down to the mat! It took him awhile, but the Kid eventually got back to his feet and pulled Malenko up with him. He whipped Malenko into the ringpost, but Malenko reversed it and the Kid smacked his shoulder right into the post. He didn't look to be in too good of shape, and Malenko seemed to realize this. He walked over and picked the Kid up in a bodyslam, but instead dropped him neck first on the guardrail. Malenko picked the Kid right back up and set him up on the ringsteps. Malenko gets up on the steps with the Kid ... piledriver onto the ringsteps!!!! The Kid didn't look too good after that and he was having a hard time getting back up. Malenko helped him there as he picked him up and threw him into the ring and followed close behind. Malenko dropped a knee right across the Kid's throat. Malenko followed up with a couple more and then an elbow. The Kid was still grabbing at his throat, and was apparently having a hard time breathing. Malenko wasn't done, as he grabbed ahold of the Kid's throat and started choking the life out of him. The ref tried to tear Malenko off with no luck. Eventually Malenko was done with the choking and decided to focus more on the knee. He lifted Kid back to his feet and hooked him as if going for a back suplex, but instead went forward with him and dropped the Kid with a kneebreaker. The Kid went down in pain. Malenko started to stomp on the knee and lift it up and sent it crashing back down onto the mat. The Dragon Kid's knee couldn't take a whole more of this. Malenko pulled the Kid over to the ropes and put his foot on the bottom rope. He proceeded to used the middle rope to get a good jump and then came crashing down onto the Kid's leg with his butt. He did this a couple times and then pulled the Kid back into the middle of the ring and hooked on a figure-four leglock!!! In the middle of the ring! The Dragon Kid was screaming out in pain and was thrashing around in the middle of the ring. Out came the Ultimo Dragon and Juventud Guerrera! They were half-way down the aisle when they were ambushed by Saturn and the masked man. All four men started to brawl in the aisle. After a few seconds they started moving back towards the entrance way and soon were brawling in the back. This left the Dragon Kid still in the figure-four by Malenko. We were reaching the minute mark of this hold and the Kid looked to be losing concsiousness. The Kid's shoulders hit the mat and the ref dropped down to make the count. 1... 2... THE KID REVERSES THE HOLD!!! Now it's Malenko screaming out in pain!!! The hold was quickly released and both men made it to their feet, but the Kid was hurting and badly. The Kid still had more in him, though, and he nailed Malenko with a couple of punches and whipped him into the ropes. Malenko went down to a back elbow, but got right back up. This time he was met with a boot to the midsection. He was then dropped with a DDT. Malenko's eyes were rolling back into his skull and the Kid sensed the end was near. He limped over to the turnbuckles and climbed up top. Once up there he started to sway back and forth, but got enough balance to come flying off with a legdrop that connected! The Kid made the cover! 1... 2... NO!!! NO!!! The Kid didn't let this bother him as he got right back up and grabbed ahold of Malenko's head and pulled him up as well. He whipped him into the ropes and as Malenko rebounded the Kid went flying into the air, wrapped his legs around Malenko's head, and then just dropped on his back and started clutching his knee. The Kid had gone for a huracanrana, but his knee gave out!!! Malenko fell flat on his face and didn't even realize what had happened. He slowly got to his feet only to see the Kid grabbing at his leg and rolling around the ring. Malenko put a hault to that as he grabbed ahold of the Kid by the legs and pulled him back into the center of the ring. He hooked his legs and brought him over...TEXAS CLOVERLEAF!!! The Kid's leg was hurting enough without this added bonus. It didn't take long. Dean Malenko made Dragon Kid submit to the Texas Cloverleaf in 0:13:14. Rating: *** 3/4 (Dean Malenko retained the WWA World Title.) Dean Malenko went to the outside and grabbed his belt. He didn't wait around to celebrate his victory. He headed to the back happy to just have his title. Meanwhile the Kid was being helped up by the referee. And we went to some commercials. When we came back ... ("Right Now" by Van Halen) Jyushin Lyger is walking to the ring...well, the best walk he can do with crutches. He receives a great pop, after all, this is just a day after coming this close to being killed. He gets in the ring and the ring announcer gives him the mic. Before he can even say anything the fans all get to their feet in a showing of respect to the man. Lyger bows his head in a showing of a little modesty. Finally the crowd grows quiet and Lyger has a chance to speak. JYUSHIN LYGER: No, I am not the TV Champion, and no I didn't beat Robert Thompson, but the hell if I didn't beat the crap out of him! (Pop!) I have to give it to Robert. He and I had one hell of a match, and he won it. But Robert, this is far from done between us. You and I both know that this will never end until one of us is in the hospital and permanently. But lets leave that for now. I heard Blanchard's announcement. I heard that there are three top contenders for Dean Malenko's title. And there is another thing I know, and that is I know I am a long shot. I don't have much of a chance to be picked over Mike Awesome or Chris Benoit. I know that they are the top stars here in the WWA. Still, I am just happy to be mentioned among those two other names. Chris, I might of been a little harsh backstage. And I am sorry if I offended you, but it had to be said. As for you, Mike. You and I have both had our battles in the past, but right now this is all about Malenko. I think I can beat him. I think I can win that World Title. All I need is the chance, so fans, pick who you think deserves it, but just remember that if given the oppurtunity I will do my best and I will walk away with the World... ("Come With Me" by Puff Daddy) Now why in the hell does he have to go and ruin this interview? Mike Awesome is walking down the aisle and is receiving a good sized pop. Jyushin Lyger backs up a couple of steps, having a little bit of trouble with his crutches. Mike Awesome enters the ring. Awesome and Lyger have a couple of words for eachother....and Lyger sticks out his hand. What a good sport Lyger is. I mean, Lyger and Awesome have had problems in the past, but Lyger is willing to forget about them and....Awesome isn't. BOOT TO THE MIDSECTION!!! Lyger drops his crutches! AWESOME BOMB!!!! Lyger is down! Awesome isn't done! Awesome starts to drop boot after boot on Lyger's neck. This is just disgusting. Lyger is still injured and very badly at that from last night. His neck was destroyed last night, his legs were beat to death, and his body is black and blue. He does not need to be getting the crap kicked out of him by Mike Awesome! Awesome grabbed ahold of one crutch and crashed it over the back of Lyger causing it to break in two. Awesome grabs the other crutch and rams it into Lyger's neck and starts pushing down. Lyger's legs are kicking out in pain and shortness of breath. Awesome finally releases the crutch only to exit the ring and grab a chair. Oh, no!! Awesome slides the chair into the ring and is right behind it. He folds the chair up and sends it crashing down onto Lyger's back. And again! ("Song 2" by Blur) CHRIS BENOIT IS HAULING ASS TO THE RING WITH A CHAIR!!!!! He slides into the ring! Awesome catches a glimpse of him and turns around. Awesome sends the chair crashing towards Benoit's face, but he ducks under it!!! Chair shot to Awesome! Another! Another! Awesome is still on his feet!!! One more and Awesome falls to his back and he rolls to the outside! Benoit stands his ground while Awesome gets to his feet on the outside and looks back at Chris. Chris stares right back! Who is going to Contact to face the champ? One of these three men! Lyger is trying to get to his feet, but is having a helluva time. Speaking of time, we are out of it!!! See you on Heat! |
