| ("War Machine" starts and we go through the opening video with the following clips: Spike Dudley hitting the Acid Drop on D-Lo Brown, Too Cold Scorpio nailing the 450 on Fit Finlay, Jeff Hardy blasting New Jack over the head with a guitar, The Extremists standing on opposite turnbuckles, Too Cool brawlin it out with the Dragon Kid and Juventud Guerrera, Ken Shamrock putting Frank Shamrock in the Ankle Lock Submission, Saturn dropping Chris Benoit with the Death Valley Driver, Benoit putting Saturn in the Crippler Crossface, Bigelow and Lee executing their finishers from the top rope through tables onto the Extremists, Robert Thompson dropping Jyushin Lyger with the Double Arm DDT, Mike Awesome executing the Awesome Bomb on The Giant, Dean Malenko putting the Texas Cloverleaf on Benoit, and then Malenko holding the World Title over his head.) ("War Pigs" by Black Sabbath) And our World Champion is in the building! He has the title around his shoulder and looks just as intense as ever. Malenko enters the ring and grabs the mic. Dean Malenko: I outsmarted all of you once again. You actually think I am going to let somebody like Mike Awesome face off against me for my World Title. He doesn't deserve it! In fact, I am surprised I even let him be in the same interview segment with me. He isn't nothing but a tall piece of crap. I am not going to waste my time with him and that is why I am having Perry Saturn face Awesome at the Drawing of the Four. That way Awesome won't be able to distract me in the biggest match of my career. Now, onto more important matters. I have men aiming for my title, and, frankly, I don't like it. I know they're tough. I know that they are some of the best wrestling has to offer, but I really don't give a crap. ("Come Out and Play" by Offspring) It's Raven!!! Raven is coming down the aisle! Raven walks over to the announcers table and grabs a microphone before sliding into the ring. Raven: Don't try to BS us, Dean. We all know you are scared. Sure, you can beat quite a few guys one on one. But when there are four of us in the ring how are you going to win? You know that you don't have a chance. You are scared to death at the thought that after Drawing of the Four that you will no longer be World Champ. All of us know it. Dean, that World Title is what motivates you. It what makes you the best. But if you don't have it, will you still be as good? I don't think you will. Dean Malenko: Lets get something straight. I am the best damn wrestler in the WWA. I have proven it time and time again. I have beaten everybody there is to beat. I have beat Lyger, Benoit, Scorpio, Ken Shamrock, Frank Shamrock! I have beaten everybody they have thrown at me. Raven: Except one. My name isn't on that list, Dean. Dean Malenko: Maybe not now, but it will be shortly. ("Song 2" by Blur) Chris Benoit is now coming down the aisle! He also walks over and grabs a mic before sliding into the ring. Chris Benoit: You know, if I didn't know any better I would think that this issue was just between you two. It isn't. This is between me and Dean. It has always been. You (Raven) and Shamrock are just an afterthought. It should be just me and Malenko. I don't even know why you two are involved. Dean Malenko: Hold it there, Chris. I beat your ass at As Good As It Gets! Remember? It's you that shouldn't be in this match. You are obsessed with me, Chris. You want to prove that you are better, but that is impossible because you never will be better! Chris Benoit: Oh, I will be better. I'll be better at the Drawing of the Four. I'll be better then and I will take that title away from you. It's my destiny and everybody here knows it. (The crowd cheers it's approval.) Raven: Chris, that maybe so. Maybe you can beat, Dean, but there is no way I will ever let you pin me. I will always kick out. There is no way any of you can pin me. Dean Malenko: Who said anything about pinning? I plan on making your ass cry for mercy and making you submit in front of all these people. Raven: That will never happen. ("Highway to Hell" by AC/DC) And now Ken Shamrock is heading down the aisle!!! Ken walks over and picks up a mic of his own and slides into the ring. Ken Shamrock: I keep hearing about how this should only be about one person or the other or something along those lines, but my name never comes up. But this is all about me. Dean was the one that broke my brother's leg and it was Chris that didn't even try and save him. So it's between us three, not you Raven. Raven: Why don't I just kick your ass and make it between just you and me. Ken Shamrock: I don't see anybody holding you back. All four seeem ready to go at it... ("Come With Me" by Puff Daddy) All four men quickly turn to the entrance way with their mouths wide open. MIKE AWESOME STEPS OUT FROM THE CURTAIN! It was just last week that Malenko screwed Awesome out of a World Title shot. He has a mic in hand and is walking towards the ring! What the...he enters the ring and all four men back up and are actually standing shoulder to shoulder. That is something I thought we'd never see. Mike Awesome: Fuck you four! I really don't care to hear your whining and bitching anymore. There shouldn't be any Drawing of the Four, because I should be the World Champion right now! Dean, you say I am going to face Saturn. Well, fine! I'll fight him and beat his ass just like I did to Sid. This Universal Title isn't going anywhere especially if I am fighting somebody like Saturn. He doesn't stand a chance and everybody in here knows it. But, Dean, you cheated me out of my World Title shot and tried to make a fool out of me and I am going to take it out of your ass. Dean Malenko: Now hold it there, Mike. You aren't on the same level as me. Hell, I don't even know if you are on the same level as the rest of these guys in the ring. So why don't you just turn around and head to the back before I give you the beating I should of given you last week. Chris Benoit: Yeah, Mike, just get out of here. This doesn't involve you. Raven: Damn right it doesn't. Ken Shamrock: Awesome, maybe you haven't noticed, but we have all agreed. Get your ass out of here, NOW! Uh-oh. You don't talk to Awesome that way. Awesome charges all four men and starts exchanging blows with Shamrock...and Benoit, Raven, and Malenko start helping Shamrock! All four men are pounding on Awesome! Awesome is staying on his feet! All four continue to beat him backwards and then Raven and Shamrock join hands and double clothesline Awesome over the top rope and to the floor. Awesome lands on his feet though. He just looks into the ring while the four men motion him to bring it. Awesome makes the smart move and slowly walks to the back, but not before screaming how this isn't over. Once Awesome is in the back the four wrestlers in the ring realized what they had done, teamed together to take down Awesome. They didn't seem too happy about it either. Shamrock quickly rolled to the outside and walked towards the back and Raven wasn't far behind. Malenko and Benoit though stayed in the ring and continued to have a stare down. (Commercials) When we came back Tully Blanchard, the Commissioner, was in the ring. He had a microphone in hand. Are we ever going to get to the matches? Tully Blanchard: Tonight would be the normal night to have a bunch of warm up matches for the main event wrestlers, but that isn't going to happen tonight. They are all going to have matches, but they sure as hell aren't going to be warm up matches. I was in the back talking to the booking commitee and here is what we came up with: Ken Shamrock will fight Sid Vicious! Chris Benoit will fight the man that beat him last week, Robert Thompson! This will be a non-title match. Raven faces Perry Saturn! And in the main event, in a non-title match, a match that was perhaps the best the WWA has ever seen, a match that everybody has wanted to see a rematch of: Dean Malenko vs Jyushin Lyger! Thank you! Tully leaves the ring to a nice ovation, but what about those matches? This is definately going to be a Terror for the ages. And now, finally, we were ready for our opening match. -------------------------------------- Spike Dudley vs New Jack -------------------------------------- Spike Dudley came into the WWA a house of fire, beating Droz in very quick fashion, and even laid out Mike Awesome on a Saturday Night Heat following one of his Acid Drops. At As Good As It Gets he fought for the Universal Title along with four others, but we all know that Mike Awesome won that match. Spike might be on a little slump, but the fans still love him. New Jack recently broke up with his parter in the Gangstanators, John Kronus. They are in the midst of a fued that is building steam constantly. We were informed minutes before the show that the WWA has signed a Dream Tag match between the two. Meaning New Jack gets to pick a partner and Kronus gets to pick a partner. Anybody! This would be a chance for New Jack to gain some momentum. New Jack and Spike, both hardcore to the bone, took it straight to the outside after the opening sequence. New Jack whipped Spike into the ringpost, guardrail, and ringsteps. Anything he could whip Spike into he did. Spike wasn't going to down easy, though, as he fought right back by using some aerial stuff like jumping off the ringsteps and taking New Jack down with a somersault plancha. Spike took control of the match from there, but kept it on the outside. He whipped New Jack into the guardrail and charged him with a clothesline that sent New Jack over the guardrail and into the fans. Spike climbed up and over the guardrail and grabbed a chair. He crashed it over New Jack's head causing New Jack to be busted wide open. Spike decided he wanted to try and end it on the outside so he grabbed ahold of New Jack and ran up the guardrail and went for the Acid Drop on the concrete, but New Jack was lucky enough to counter it with a back suplex that had Spike's head crash against the concrete. New Jack picked Spike up and threw him back over the guardrail and threw him back into the ring. New Jack grabbed a chair on his way in and climbed to the top turnbuckle. He came flying off with the Diving Chair, but Spike raised his foot and sent the chair crashing right back into New Jack's face. By this time New Jack's blood was everywhere and it almost looked like Spike had been busted open as well...oh wait, he had. My bad. Spike picked New Jack up and whipped him into the ropes and caught him with a clothesline which he tried to follow up with an elbow, but New Jack rolled out of the way. Spike got back to his feet, but was met with a chair shot that New Jack had used just a minute or two earlier. Spike went down, and New Jack went right back up top and went for the Diving Chair again, and hit it this time! The cover got the three count. New Jack pinned Spike Dudley with the Diving Chair in 0:10:06. Rating: 3/4* A pretty big win for New Jack heading into his battle with John Kronus. Speaking of Kronus, he was heading down the aisle! He slid into the ring and took New Jack down with a superkick. Kronus grabbed ahold of the chair that New Jack had been using and started crashing it over the head of New Jack. New Jack tried to protect himself from the blows, but it was useless. Once Kronus thought he had done enough damage he headed to the back. New Jack was left a bloody mess. (Commercials) (We cut to the back where Chris Benoit is talking with Jyushin Lyger.) Chris Benoit: I think I can handle him. He just surprised me with that flying crossbody last week. Jyushin Lyger: Okay, but remember, watch out for your neck. I don't why, but he seems to have some sort of obsession with necks. Benoit: Okay, I will. Speaking of which, remember, Dean likes to go for the legs and since that is your main offense I'd be careful. Lyger: I'll be fine. I almost beat him last time and this time I am going to do it. Benoit: Good luck. Lyger; Yeah, you too. (With that they both leave and we go back to the ring.) --------------------------------------------------- Tag Titles! Brian Lee & Bigelow(c) vs Too Cool --------------------------------------------------- Lee and Bigelow had their WWA debut at As Good As It Gets where they beat the Extremists in vicious fashion to become the World Tag Team Champions. Since then they have been pretty much indestructable and with Raven at their side nobody can stop them. They are supposed to be facing the Hardy Boys at Drawing of the Four for the tag titles, but this match may change all that. Too Cool were feuding with eachother until for some reason they decided to team back up. They have become a force to be reckoned with as they have had a great streak as of late. They have run into some problems with the Lightweight Champion, the Dragon Kid, and his sidekick, Juventud Guerrera, however. Tonight would be a huge shot for Too Cool to finally prove themselves a heavy threat in the tag division. Brian Lee and Brian Christopher started the match off. Christopher and Lee got right in eachother's face to start the match off, but Christopher had to look way up. Definately not a good sign for Too Cool. Christopher tried a couple of dropkicks followed by a couple of clotheslines, but they didn't have any effect at all. Lee grabbed ahold of Christopher on the next attempt at a clothesline and lifted him up in a Gorilla Press before dropping him face first onto the mat. Lee was having too much fun to tag out and instead started working over Christopher. A back suplex was followed by a piledriver. He even took it to the outside and whipped Christopher into the guardrail before throwing him back into the ring. Instead of trying for a pin instead he threw Christopher into Too Cool's corner and allowed Christopher to tag in Taylor. Taylor didn't look too happy be in the ring, and only got more scared when Lee tagged out to Bigelow. Bigelow came in and charged at Taylor, but Scott dove out of the way and Bigelow crashed into the turnbuckles and staggered back into a roll up! 1... Not even close! Bigelow took control right back for the champions with his aggressive style and almost had Taylor pinned after a vicious looking powerbomb, but Christopher was there to break it up in two. This brought in Lee who almost took Christopher's head off with a clothesline. Bigelow had picked Taylor up and dropped him with the Greetings From Asbury Park, but it wasn't over yet. Lee went to the outside and grabbed a table and slid it into the ring. He set the table up near a turnbuckle and then lifted Christopher up and set him on the top turnbuckle. Lee climbed up with him. It looked as if he were going to Prime Time Slam Christopher off the turnbuckle and through the table, but Christopher somehow brought his foot up in a low blow that took the fight right out of Lee. Christopher pushed Lee off the top turnbuckles and Lee went crashing through the table! Christopher saw his oppurtunity and jumped off the top turnbuckle with the Tennessee Jam!! 1... 2... Thr...no!!! Bigelow broke it up! Bigelow picked Christopher up and dropped him with the Greetings From Asbury Park. Bigelow hooked a leg and easily got the three count. Brian Lee and Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Too Cool when Bigelow pinned Christopher after the Greetings From Asbury Park in 0:08:08. Rating: ** (Brian Lee and Bam Bam Bigelow retained the WWA World Tag Team Titles.) The tag champions were dominant once again, but Too Cool did put up one heckuva fight and almost pulled it out. If it hadn't been for Bigelow breaking up that last count I think we would of seen new champs. What in the world? MATT HARDY IS RUNNING DOWN THE AISLE WITH A HOCKEY STICK! Bigelow was bent over checking on Lee and didn't even see it coming as Matt sent the hockey stick crashing down onto Bigelow's back. Bigelow fell to the mat, but Matt wasn't done. Matt raised the stick up again and crashed it into Lee's groin. Lee started shaking in pain and rolled to the outside. But Matt had better plans for Bigelow. He grabbed ahold of Bigelow's hand and pulled out a pair of pliers from his pants. What is he doing? NO!!! He is putting the pliers on Bigelow's fingernail of his thumb. HE PULLED IT OFF! OH MY GOD! What the hell is he thinking? Bigelow is screaming in pain, but Matt grabs the index finger and does the same! What has gotten into Matt Hardy? Here comes Jeff Hardy!! Jeff slides into the ring and tackled Matt to the ground. Bigelow immediately brings his hand back and holds it with the other. He is in obvious pain. Jeff slaps Matt across the cheek which seemingly wakes Matt up. Jeff then helps Matt up and they both head to the back. Raven and Nova came out to check on Bigelow and Lee after the Hardy's had left. Thanks alot guys! After a few commercials it was time for our next match. It would determine who would join the Dragon Kid and Brian Christopher in a triangle match for the Lightweight Title at Drawing of the Four. ------------------------------------------------ Billy Kidman vs Juventud Guerrera ------------------------------------------------ Billy Kidman was the heavy favorite in the Lightweight Battle Royal, but lost when Jeff Hardy won it all. The Dragon Kid has since won the Lightweight Title, and now it was time for Kidman to get back into the picture. That is if he can beat Juventud. Juventud on the other hand has recently formed a friendship with the Little Dragon in a battle against Too Cool. With a win here Juventud will be placed in the Lightweight Title match at the Drawing of the Four so this is a huge match for Juventud as well. Juventud hit the air as soon as the bell rang, using his aerial offense that was just too fast for Kidman to catch up with. Kidman is fast, but Juventud was just running cirlces around him. A flying back elbow, huracanrana, and a flying leg lariat off the top had Kidman reeling. H even tried to end it as he went to the top came flying off with a high crossbody, but Kidman caught him on the way down and brought him crashing to the mat with a powerslam. Now it was Kidman's turn to show his own offense. He nailed Juventud with a lariat followed by a double underhook faceslam that almost took Juvy completely out of it, but a cover only got two. Kidman got on the second turnbuckle and awaited Juvy to get back to his feet and once he had he came flying off with a bulldog. Juvy looked to be out of it and Kidman was coming closer and closer to victory. A backbreaker followed and it was time to goto the top. Once he was on the top turnbuckle he perched himself there waiting for Juvy to get back up. Juvy slowly rose to his feet and saw Kidman flying high at him. Juvy still was in the game, however, and met Kidman in mid-air with a dropkick that knocked the air right out of Kidman. Juvy went right back on the offense with a DDT which he followed up with a slingshot legdrop, but it only got two. Kidman was up, but Juvy took him right back down with an Aztecan Suplex. Juvy was now ready to end it as he picked Kidman up and slammed him near the turnbuckles. He climbed up top and came flying off with the 450 Splash, but Kidman rolled out of the way! Kidman was back up to his feet and Juvy was right behind, but Kidman booted him in the stomach and dropped him with a facebuster! He hooked the leg! 1... 2... 3!!! Billy Kidman pinned Juventud Guerrera after a vertical facebuster in 0:09:24. Rating: *** 1/2 Billy Kidman is going to the Drawing of the Four in the Lightweight Title match! Kidman got to his feet and slowly walked to the back with his hands in the air. Half way down Jeff Hardy walked out and met him and gave him a hug. Kidman is going to get the shot he has wanted for quite awhile and possibly take his place at the top of the Lightweight scene, where he belongs. The Dragon Kid came out to look over Juventud, but not to tell him "Good match" as instead he was berating him the entire way to the back. After another set of commercials it was time for one of four main events. Things were about to get interesting. ----------------------------------------- Ken Shamrock vs Sid Vicious ----------------------------------------- Ken Shamrock is perhaps the underdog in the four corners match on Sunday, but he really shouldn't be. He is looking for some revenge for his brother's broken leg and that would be the perfect match to get it. Shamrock is also possibly the best submission wrestler in the four corners match except for maybe Dean Malenko. Tonight he would fight one of Malenko's henchman in Sid Vicious. Sid Vicious' career has been in a sort of limbo. He beat Too Cold Scorpio at As Good As It Gets, but from there he has lost with Perry Saturn to Lee and Bigelow, and recently to Mike Awesome on a Saturday Night Heat. Ken Shamrock easily dominated the early part of this match as he brought Sid down with a leglock which he quickly turned into an armbar. Sid made it to the ropes, but Ken brought him back down with a belly to belly suplex. He kept up his offense for quite awhile as Sid just couldn't get a move in. Ken almost forced a submission out of Sid a few minutes in with a Fujiwara armbar, but Sid was lucky enough to be close to the ropes. Both men got back to their feet and Sid finally sneaked in a boot to Ken's groin that gave him the advantage. A bodyslam, elbowdrop, and a powerslam followed. Sid tried his brawlings skills from there, but with Ken's background that wasn't the right choice. Ken blocked a couple of blows from Sid before bringing Sid onto his back with a double leg takedown. Ken Shamrock straddled Sid and started laying in the blows to Sid's face. Sid tried to power his way out, but it was of no use. Sid soon had a busted lip which caused Shamrock to finally get back up. Shamrock decided he wanted to end it as he threw Sid against the ropes and went for a Frankensteiner, but Sid caught him!!! POWERBOMB! He makes the cover! 1... 2... 3 NO!!!! SHAMROCK KICKED OUT! How in the world did Ken Shamrock kick out of Sid's Powerbomb? Sid was in shock and perhaps that is the reason he decided to goto the top. He climbed to the top turnbuckle and came flying off with a clothesline, but Ken ducked out of the way and Sid hit the mat hard. Ken saw Sid laying on his stomach in pain and saw an opening...ANKLE LOCK SUBMISSION!!! He had it hooked on in the middle of the ring! Sid tried to get to the ropes, but as soon as we was close Ken pulled him right back into the middle. Sid had enough and decided it was better to fight another day as he tapped out. Ken Shamrock made Sid Vicious submit to the Ankle Lock Submission in 0:10:53. Rating: -* 1/2 Ken Shamrock jumped to his feet and started celebrating his big victory with his back to the aisle. Bad move, Ken. MIKE AWESOME IN THE HOUSE! He charged the aisle and slid into the ring. Shamrock heard somebody entering the ring and turned around only to be booted in the stomach...AWESOME BOMB! Mike did what he came out to do and left the ring, but Ken as left laying right beside Sid. ----------------------------------- Raven vs Perry Saturn ----------------------------------- Raven showed up at As Good As It Gets and made an immediate impact. He laid out Benoit, Malenko, and Shamrock with Evenflows. He has since drove the Giant out of the WWA and has been pretty much unbeatable. Perry Saturn since being brought into the WWA by Malenko has also done a rather good job. He does claim a victory over Jyushin Lyger which is something only a few can brag about. Still, he hasn't been able to reach his full potential yet. He has a match with Mike Awesome at the Drawing of the Four so this is a big match for both men involved. Perry Saturn started right off on offense as he charged Raven and took him down with a clothesline. Raven was back up in an instant, but Saturn whipped him into the ropes and took him down with a powerslam. This was a very determined Saturn. Saturn kept it up for a couple of minutes and Raven was just too surprised by all the offense Saturn was dishing out to do much about it. Saturn even went up top a couple of times and hit a flying kneedrop and a missile dropkick. Raven would not stay down, however. Raven did catch an opening a little after the missile dropkick as Saturn went for a T-Bone suplex, but Raven countered it with a couple of elbows to the side of Saturn's head and proceeded to take Saturn down with a Russian Legsweep. He dropped a leg across Saturn's face and decided it was time to goto the outside. He went out and grabbed a chair and slid it back into the ring. Raven set the chair up in the middle of the ring and then threw Saturn into the ropes. As Saturn came back Raven dropped down and took Saturn down witha drop toe hold and Saturn hit face first on the chair. 1... 2... kickout! Saturn just barely got out of that. Raven took complete control from there as he hit Saturn with a couple of suplexes, and almost pinned Saturn after a hotshot, but Saturn was close enough to get his foot under the bottom rope thus breaking up the count. Raven seemed ready to finish it as he hooked Saturn in position for the Evenflow, but Saturn picked Raven up and backdropped out of it. And Mike Awesome is walking down the aisle and he had a chair. Oh great! Saturn hit a tiger suplex and went up top and hit the elbow from heavens, but it also only got two. Saturn seemed a little irritated with the ref as he apparently thought he got three. Saturn went right back to the top and came flying off with what was supposed to be a flying crossbody, but Raven caught him and brought him crashing down to the mat with a powerslam. Both men got to their feet at about the same time, but it was Raven who got in the first few shots as he punched Saturn a couple of times causing Saturn to lean against the ropes. Raven whipped Saturn into the ropes, but Saturn reversed it and as Raven bounced off the ropes Mike Awesome crashed his chair into the back of Raven. Raven staggered forward and Saturn lifted him up, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! 1... 2... 3!!! HUGE UPSET! Perry Saturn pinned Raven with the Death Valley Driver in 0:11:55. Rating: *** 1/2 Perry Saturn desperately wanted that win and he got it. Mike Awesome wasn't done though. As he was entering the ring Perry Saturn saw him and tried to charge him, but was met with a boot to the stomach and AWESOME BOMB FOR SATURN! Raven still hadn't gotten up from the Death Valley Driver and so Awesome had to literally lift him to his feet, but then dropped him right back down with an Awesome Bomb! This sent out Brian Lee, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Nova who slid into the ring. Awesome didn't want to mess around with the tag champions and so he left, but not before giving all three of them the bird. Well, that is two out of four. Will he get involved in the last two matches? And will Benoit and Malenko be able to hold him off? ------------------------------------------------- Non Title Match! Chris Benoit vs Robert Thompson ------------------------------------------------- Chris Benoit was the heavy favorite over Dean Malenko to win the World Title at As Good As It Gets. Dean Malenko somehow pulled out the victory with the help of Perry Saturn and Benoit was pissed. He now has the big four corners match with Malenko, Shamrock, and Raven, but now not only does he have a former best friend to deal with, he has a brother looking for revenge, and a demented soul that....well, he wants something. He hasn't been as focused as of late as he trains for the big match which might be the reason he lost to Robert Thompson in a tag match just last week. Robert Thompson, on the other hand, has been almost unstoppable as of late. Since winning the TV Title at As Good As It Gets from Jyushin Lyger he hasn't lost a match and even has a pinfall over Benoit. Still his sights are on Jyushin Lyger who he will face at Drawing of the Four. Thompson and Lyger have a feud full of hatred and fury that has been well documented. Benoit is Lyger's best friend and Thompson is Malenko's best friend which gives us these two swap matches tonight with Malenko vs Lyger and Thompson vs Benoit. And with Awesome interfering tonight things were about to get interesting. Benoit went right to the offense as he blasted Thompson with a couple of running lariats that almost took Thompson's head off. Benoit tried to follow it up with a whip into the turnbuckles, but Thompson reversed it. Benoit hit the buckles hard, but moved out of the way as Thompson charged in. Thompson staggered forward and Benoit caught him in a belly to belly suplex. Benoit had his head in this match. When they both got back to their feet they exchanged a few punches, but Thompson won that battle when he snuck in a superkick. Thompson laid a few boots onto Benoit, but then helped him to his feet so he could lift him and set him on the top turnbucke. He climbed up as well and got some revenge as he nailed Benoit with a belly to belly suplex of his own, only this one from the top turnbuckle! A very high impact move just minutes in and Thompson knew that he might have Benoit pinned. 1... 2... No! Kickout from Benoit! Benoit still had alot of steam left in him. Thompson pulled Benoit back to his feet and whipped him into the ropes, but Benoit ducked under a clothesline and hit a diving shoulderblock on his return that knocked Thompson off of his feet. Benoit was right back up and lifted Thompson up with him and pushed him into the turnbuckles. Benoit almost chopped the skin right off of Thompson's chest as he proceeded to lay into Robert with a few chops. He dragged Thompson out of the corner and took him down with a back suplex that looked to really hurt Thompson. Benoit continued to lay in the beating as he dropped Thompson with an inverted DDT and a couple of legdrops. He tried to hit a Northern Lights Suplex, but Thompson brought up a couple of knees to break up that attempt and took Benoit down with a big piledriver that spiked Benoit. Robert now had control of the match and decided to slow it down a bit as hooked Benoit in a bow-and-arrow. Benoit couldn't do anything to break it up, but he refused to submit. Thompson realized he wasn't going to get a submission out of Benoit it still did what he wanted and that was slow down Benoit. After around 20 seconds he released the hold and Benoit got right up, but was obviously hurting. Thompson took Benoit down with another belly to belly suplex and tried the cover, but it only got two. Thomspon decided it was a good time to take a risk as he lifted Benoit up and set him on the top turnbuckle. Thompson climbed up alongside him, but Benoit nailed Thompson with a couple of headbutts and then gave him a push which sent Thompson flying backwards. Before Thompson had a chance to move Benoit came diving off with his headbutt and it connected! He hooked the leg! 1... 2... Thre...NO!!! THOMPSON GOT OUT! Benoit seemed shocked at this as he got to his feet and just looked down at Thompson. Benoit went to drop an elbow, but Thompson rolled out of the way. Thompson wanted to end it here as he picked Benoit up and booted him in the midsection and went for the Double Arm DDT that would of ended the match, but Benoit backdropped out of it, but Thompson landed on his feet! Benoit turned around and was blasted with a clothesline. Benoit went down, but Thompson bent over and grabbed a handful of hair and brought him back to his feet. Thompson went to hook Benoit in a German Suplex, but Benoit countered with a couple of back elbows and reversed it on Thompson. But Thompson was ready as he hit a couple of elbows of his own and did a go-behind on Benoit! He tried one more German Suplex, but Benoit brought his head backwards and it crashed into Thompson's nose! Thompson's nose started bleeding and it was obviously broke. Benoit did a go-behind and Thompson was in such pain from his nose that he didn't even realise his arms being hooked in a full nelson. All of a sudden he was being lifted in a Dragon Suplex! Benoit hit it perfectly and held on with a bridge! 1... 2... 3!!! Non-Title-Match: Chris Benoit pinned Robert Thompson with a dragon suplex in 0:13:18. Rating: *** 1/2 Benoit did it! He beat the TV Champ, Robert Thompson! Both men were exhausted after that match, but Benoit used the ropes to get to his feet while Thompson stayed on the mat. And here comes Mike Awesome!!!! Benoit is so tired that he is having problems standing, but he brings his hands up and motions for Awesome to bring it on. Awesome doesn't hesitate as he enters the ring and charges after Benoit with a clothesline, but Benoit ducks! Awesome turns around and is met with a couple of chops to the chest! He whips Awesome into the ropes and goes for a lariat of his own, but Awesome ducks under! Benoit turns around as fast as he can, but it's too late...boot to the stomach and Awesome Bomb! Mike Awesome, with his work done, left the ring. After a pair of commercials it was time for our main event, and what a main event it would be! ---------------------------------------------- Non-Title Match! Dean Malenko vs Jyushin Lyger ---------------------------------------------- Dean Malenko is, for lack of a better term, the best damn wrestler in the WWA right now. That World Title around his waist proves it. He has gone through numerous wrestlers during his title reign. He has held the title for four months and doesn't look like he is going to slow down anytime soon. Many men have tried to take the title off of him, the Giant, Benoit, Ken Shamrock, Frank Shamrock, Jyushin Lyger, Too Cold Scorpio, and several others. His match with Jyushin Lyger, though, was perhaps one of the best the WWA has ever seen. Only a few have ever measured up to it including the classic Thomspon-Lyger matches and the Lyger-Owen-Thompson triangle match. This would be the rematch only this time the title wasn't on the line. Jyushin Lyger has had a pretty good career so far in the WWA as he went right off in a feud with Owen Hart and then actually pinned Mike Awesome in a classic encoutner at WrestleWar. Lyger is a former TV champion as he won it in the triangle match mentioned above, but lost it to Robert Thompson on the very next supercard. Lyger almost broke Thompson's neck in the triangle match with Owen, and ever since Thompson has been out for a measure of revenge. And like I said above, this is kind of a swap match. And Mike Awesome is still in the building. The bell rang... Dean Malenko slid out of the lockup and dropped Lyger with a back suplex just seconds in. He picked Lyger back up and whipped him into the ropes. Lyger came flying back, but Malenko caught him and powerslammed him to the mat. Both men got up at about the same time, but Lyger snuck in a kick and grabbed ahold of Malenko and dropped him with a snap suplex. Both men got back to their feet at the same time again and started exchanging punches and kicks. Malenko ducked under a wild swing by Lyger and side-stepped to behind Lyger and brought him back with a German Suplex with a bridge! Two count. Lyger was pissed when he got back to his feet and blasted Malenko with a clothesline that took Dean down, but Lyger bent down and started pounding on Malenko. The ref tried to pull Lyger off, but Lyger pushed him backwards and kept on. Lyger eventually grew tired of beating the crap out of Malenko and pulled him to his feet. Lyger went for a Tombstone, but Malenko slid down his back and went to hit Lyger with a waistlock suplex, but Lyger countered with a go-behind, but Malenko brought his foot back and connected with Lyger's groin that ended the sequence and had the men in the audience crossing their legs. Malenko dropped right to his knees and hit another low blow, this time with his arm. Malenko grabbed ahold of Lyger and nailed him with a tiger driver, but it only got two. How did Lyger kick out of that especially after those two low blows? Malenko went to brawling as he started to beat down Lyger with some forearms and punches. Lyger tried to block the blows as best he could, but still Malenko was gaining the heavy advantage. Malenko whipped Lyger into the ropes, but he put his head down way too early and Lyger caught him and went for a powerbomb, but Malenko slid down his back. Lyger turned around and was met with an enzuguiri that knocked Lyger off his feet. Malenko lifted Lyger up and hit his own powerbomb and hooked on a figure-four. Lyger was close enough to the ropes that he made it there rather quickly, but when he got back up he was hit with a dropkick that sent him backwards against the turnbuckles. Malenko went over and picked Lyger up and set him on the top turnbuckle. He climbed up as well and went to hit Lyger with a superplex, but Lyger held onto the ropes. Lyger hit a couple of blows to Malenko's stomach which caused Malenko to loosen his hold and allowed Lyger to grab ahold of Malenko...and hurl him to the outside off the top turnbuckle! Malenko hit with a thud and was down. Lyger waited for Malenko to get back up and once he had he came flying off with a somersault plancha that connected perfectly. Lyger got back to his feet and threw Malenko back into the ring. Once both men were back in the ring Lyger hit Malenko with a boot and lifted Malenko up....LYGER BOMB AND COVER! 1... 2... 3! NO! NO! MALENKO KICKED OUT!!! Lyger didn't let up as he picked Malenko back up and started running....RUNNING LYGER BOMB!!! 1... 2... .... ... NO!!! MALENKO KICKED OUT!!!! Jyushin was getting a little peeved as he picked Malenko back up and went for what looked to be another Lyger Bomb, but Malenko slid out the back. Lyger turned around and was booted in the midsection and double underhook powerbomb! Lyger was in perfect position as Malenko grabbed ahold of his legs and brought him over in the Texas Cloverleaf!!! In the middle of the ring! And Lyger isn't giving up!!! Lyger was forced to submit to this hold in the last match they had and it is going to happen again! Wait! Lyger is making his way to the ropes! Malenko is pulling back further, but Lyger is making it to the ropes!!! Awesome is making his way down the aisle!!! HE MADE IT!! LYGER IS IN THE ROPES! Malenko refused to release the hold until the full 5 seconds were up and then held on a little bit longer. He finally released the hold and went to finish Lyger off as he picked Lyger up and set him on the top turnbuckle. He climbed up to the second turnbuckle and jumped onto Lyger with an attempt at a top-rope Frankensteiner, but Malenko see's Awesome and he doesn't bring Lyger over! He is looking at Awesome as he sits on Lyger's shoulders!!! He finally tries to bring him over but Lyger holds him!!! TOP ROPE LYGER BOMB!!! MALENKO'S NECK AND BACK HIT THE MAT HARD!!! LYGER CRADLES MALENKO'S LEGS OVER!!!! 1... 2... . . . . . . 3!!!!!!!!!!!!! Non-Title-Match: Jyushin Lyger pinned Dean Malenko with the Running Lyger Bomb in 0:16:33. Rating: **** LYGER WINS ! AND HERE COMES BENOIT, SHAMROCK, AND RAVEN! They all slide into the ring and hit a triple dropkick on Awesome! Awesome staggers backwards and Benoit and Shamrock hit him with a double clothesline that sends Awesome over the top and to the floor. And Shamrock nails Benoit! And Raven nails Shamrock from behind! What the....We have a three way brawl going on in the ring while Malenko continues to lay on the mat! Here comes Robert Thompson! He slides into the ring and picks up Lyger and drops him with a Double Arm DDT! He does it again! Raven has gotten the upper hand on Shamrock and Benoit as Thompson picks Malenko up and carries him towards the back. Mike Awesome just looks on from ringside at the carnage. (fade to black) |
