| ("War Machine" starts and we go through the opening video with the following clips: Spike Dudley hitting the Awesome Drop on D-Lo Brown, Too Cold Scorpio nailing the 450 on Fit Finlay, Jeff Hardy blasting New Jack over the head with a guitar, The Extremists standing on opposite turnbuckles, Ken Shamrock putting Frank Shamrock in the Ankle Lock Submission, Saturn dropping Chris Benoit with the Death Valley Driver, Benoit putting Saturn in the Crippler Crossface, Bigelow and Lee executing their finishers from the top rope through tables onto the Extremists, Robert Thompson dropping Jyushin Lyger with the Double Arm DDT, Mike Awesome executing the Awesome Bomb on The Giant, Dean Malenko putting the Texas Cloverleaf on Benoit, and then Malenko holding the World Title over his head.) (We hear "War Pigs" and that can only mean one thing...Time to go watch some porn. No? Oh, it means the champion, Dean Malenko and his group are headed towards the ring. Malenko doesn't look happy at all. Sid is right behind him while Saturn is quite a ways behind Sid. As soon as they enter the ring Malenko grabs the mic and begins his tirade.) Dean Malenko: On Saturday I had a confrontation with one huge badass. For those of you that didn't tune in, let me fill you in. Mike Awesome cheated to gain a victory over my man, Sid. He used every illegal move there is to defeat Sid and afterwards was so stupid to challenge me. To actually say that he wanted MY title. Now, I know he must not be satisfied with that piece of crap that he is carrying around right now, but that doesn't give him the right to challenge me. Luckily I had Saturn there to pull me off because the time just wasn't right. (Malenko looks over at Saturn.) Malenko: However, Perry, if you ever do that again I am going to rip the heart right out of your chest. You NEVER stop me when I want something. I swear, if you do it again, not only will you be out of a job, but I will break each and every bone in your body. (Saturn seems quite upset at this, but not as in fear, but as in being very pissed off. In fact, he goes so far as to get right in Malenko's face. He starts talking to Malenko and luckily the mic is still near Malenko so we get to hear what is going on.) Saturn: You can't tell me what to do. If it weren't for me, Benoit would be the champ right now, remember that! Malenko: What? What the fuck did you just say to me? I didn't need your help beating Benoit and I definately didn't need your help Saturday and in fact, I don't need your help now. Get the hell out of my ring! Saturn: Alright, fine. Just see how long you keep that title without me. (Saturn exits the ring and heads to the back. Sid looks on in astonishment ... before stepping over the top rope himself! He follows Saturn to the back and Malenko is alone for the first time in the WWA! But he doesn't seem upset.) Malenko: Fine, assholes. I don't need your help. It's time to do things my way. I have a challenge I want to give out tonight, and it's to Mike Awesome! (The crowd goes literally crazy and the building is shaking as Awesome doesn't waste any time as "Come With Me" starts up and Mike Awesome steps out from the entrance way!!! He has a mic, will he accept?!?) Mike Awesome: I ain't going to bullshit around, you challenged me, I accept, match tonight, and your ass is mine! (The building continues to shake as the crowd is thinking of this huge, huge match!) Malenko: Oh, we aren't done. Not only will there be a match between us, but I am putting up MY title. This match is going to be for the World Title. You and me, one on one. There have been two men that have been constantly on the top in the WWA. Those two men have been you and me. I think it is time to show you that I am the better man and to take your ego down a step or two. Awesome: Yeah, shut it. Many people have tried and all of them have failed. You will be no different, tonight I am going to leave the building not only as the Universal Champ, but also the World Champ. All it's going to take me is one kick to your gut, and an Awesome Bomb and while you're looking at the lights above, me holding the title, you will realize what a mistake you made. I'll see you later tonight. Malenko: Count on it! (And with that we have our main event and dare I say, the biggest main event in Terror history! Malenko doesn't have a group to back him up this time. We are really going to see who the best man is.) (From here we cut to Commissioner Tully Blanchard's office. Blanchard is sitting behind a desk, sorting some papers when there is a knock at the door. Blanchard yells, "Come in!" and Ken Shamrock bursts in the room.) Ken Shamrock: What the hell was that? I thought we weren't going to have any singles matches before the pay-per-view? Blanchard: No, I said no singles matches between yourselves. You can have a singles match with anybody else that you want. Shamrock: That's bullshit. Malenko is going to lose that title tonight, and you and I both know it! That match at the pay-per-view IS going to be for the World Title. Make the match tonight non-title. Blanchard: No can do. I'm afraid that just isn't going to happen. Tonight's main event will be for the title now get the hell out of my office. Shamrock: You better pray that Malenko doesn't lose his title or... (The last few words are cut off as Shamrock slams the door, leaving the office.) (We now go back to the ring for our first match.) ---------------------------------------------------- Spike Dudley vs Super Nova ---------------------------------------------------- Spike Dudley has been on a downward spiral ever since laying out Mike Awesome. He just hasn't been able to get much done. Tonight was his chance to redeem himself as he goes up against Raven's lackey, Super Nova! Spike knew that this was a big match for him and went all out. He nailed Nova with everything he had and more and even went extreme on Nova as he crashed a chair into his skull several times. Nova fought back the best he knows how and that is to goto the air and hit some of his weird moves. He several of the moves he "created" or "saw from a Japan tape" and took the offense. Nova did make one mistake and that was when he was going for Novacaine. He allowed Spike just a little bit too much room to move and Spike kicked him square in the nuts. Nova bent over in pain and Spike grabbed ahold of him, ran up the turnbuckles, and hit a swinging bulldog. He grabbed a leg and made the cover and the ref made the three count. Spike Dudley pinned Super Nova after a swinging bulldog in 0:13:44. Rating: ** (We cut to the back where Jeff Hardy is standing, Matt Hardy is standing in front of Jeff and talking to him.) Matt Hardy: I swear, I wasn't going to do anything. Jeff Hardy: Still, man, you lifted that chair. I want to know why you were doing that behind my back. Matt Hardy: Believe me, just this once, there was nothing going on. I just was thinking about throwing the chair to the outside, but decided against it. I was not going to use the chair. Jeff Hardy: I have seen that look in your eyes before and I remember what you do when that happens. You go crazy and I don't want to see that happen. Matt: I promise it won't. Jeff Hardy: But still, you made me look like a damn fool against Kidman. I don't want to win that way. You know that. If Kidman was going to win then you should of let him. If I lose then I lose. I don't want you interfering on my behalf. Matt Hardy: Alright, I won't do it again. Jeff Hardy: Good, and I'd be careful if I see Billy walking around. He isn't too happy with you. Matt Hardy: Like I give a ... (Jeff gives Matt the evil eye.) Matt Hardy: Alright, alright. I'll watch out for him. Now can I please, finally, have your forgiveness for As Good As It Gets? Jeff Hardy: Well, I need you to do one more thing to prove that you are truly sorry. I signed the open contract to face the tag champs at the pay- per-view! It will be no holds barred and you can finally prove to me that you won't let it happen again. Matt Hardy: I will be there and I'll be there to kick some ass. Jeff Hardy: In fact, I signed you a little warm up match against New Jack tonight. Matt Hardy: Oh, gee, thanks! Jeff Hardy: I have to go, my title defense is up next, but just remember that New Jack isn't as tough as he says he is. You can beat him. (Jeff leaves the locker room and heads towards the ring while we stick on Matt.) Matt Hardy: Oh, I am going to do more than beat him. (We cut back to the ring where the Dragon Kid is slowly making his way up the aisle to a huge round of boo's. His ribs are taped up from the attack by Too Cool on Saturday. Next, out comes Jeff Hardy and we have a match.) ----------------------------------------------------- Jeff Hardy(c) vs The Dragon Kid Lightweight Title on the line! ----------------------------------------------------- The Dragon Kid and Jeff Hardy put on one great spot fest here tonight. Each one was allowed to hit his special moves. Jeff was the fan favorite and you could tell by the crowd's reaction. They haven't taken well to the Kid's arrogance. About mid-way through the match Too Cool made an appearance. Seconds later Juventud Guerrera showed up and attacked both members of Too Cool only to get beat down in the process. This distracted the Kid long enough for Jeff to sneak up on him and nail him with a knee to the back followed by the Hardy Cutter, but a cover only got two. Minutes later Jeff tried to finish it once again only this time with his awesome Senton Bomb. He hit it perfectly and made the cover, but the Kid somehow found it in himself to kick out at two and a half. The Dragon Kid fought back from there and Jeff was a little tired from his earlier moves and couldn't do much to defend himself. The Dragon Kid hit an assortment of Frankensteiners and suplexes before trying to end it with the Dragon Rana, but Jeff held on and went for a powerbomb, but at the last moment the Kid used all his strength in his legs to bring Hardy over. He held onto Hardy's legs turning it into a cradle and the ref quickly hit the mat to make the count. 1... 2... 3!!! Dragon Kid pinned Jeff Hardy after the Dragon Rana in 0:07:47. Rating: ** 1/4 (Dragon Kid won the WWA Lightweight Title.) Seconds after the bell was rung Too Cool entered the ring and started to attack the Kid. Juventud had recovered somewhat by this time and entered the ring and pulled Scott Taylor off of the Kid and exchanged punches with him. The Kid fought off Christopher and soon the Kid and Juventud dropkicked the man they were fighting with over the top rope. Jeff Hardy by this time had gotten back to his feet and saw his title being given to the Kid. Jeff didn't seem to happy with this, but was willing to accept it as he stuck his hand out in a show of respect. The Kid obviously wasn't as much a man as Hardy as instead of offering his hand he spit in Jeff's face and screamed, "YOU SUCK!" The Dragon Kid left the ring alongside Juventud while Too Cool slid back into the ring and started talking to Jeff. (We cut to the back where we see Chris Benoit walk up to Mike Awesome, who at the time was punching a locker to hype himself up for tonight I guess.) Chris Beniot: Mike, I need to talk to you. (Mike turns to face Benoit.) Chris Benoit: I just thought I would tell you that you need to be careful tonight. Dean may not seem dangerous, but he is. You really need to be on your toes tonight. Mike Awesome: Thanks for the advice, but you know what, I don't think I want advice from a guy that did NOT beat Malenko. I think maybe your advice doesn't mean crap and that you should be getting out of my face before I am slamming you through a table. Chris Benoit: Just thought I'd try and help. If you don't want it then fine. Good luck. Mike Awesome: Good luck is for pussies. (We cut back to the ring where we were preparing for our next match. Matt Hardy came out first and then "Natural Born Killaz" came over the speakers and the crowd got to it's feet as New Jack burst out of the entrance curtains with his trashcan of doom which was full of weapons. He threw it into the ring and wasn't far behind as the bell rang.) ----------------------------------------- Matt Hardy vs New Jack ----------------------------------------- New Jack threw the trashcan into the ring and wasn't far behind. Matt tried to slow New Jack down with some double axehandles as New Jack was getting to his feet, but that didn't do much good. New Jack was soon up to his feet and leveled Matt with a big punch. New Jack went right to the trashcan and pulled out a cookie sheet. He smashed it across Matt's head, and did it again. New Jack went back to the trashcan and dumped out all the objects and proceeded to crash it into Matt's skull. Matt fell to the mat and New Jack went back to the trashcan and pulled out a hockey stick this time. He grabbed ahold of Matt's legs and pulled them apart and blasted Matt between the legs with the hockey stick! Matt was in agony and New Jack was enjoying every bit of it. New Jack picked Matt up and hurled him over the top rope. New Jack picked up a guitar out of the trashcan and went to the top rope. He came flying off, aiming for Matt's head, but Matt dodged it at the last second and New Jack's guitar went crashing into the cement. Matt capitalized on the stunned New Jack by hitting him with a couple of dropkicks and then whipping him into the guardrail. He then sent New Jack into the ringsteps. Matt, apparently, has learned some things about hardcore matches. Matt picked up the ring steps and sent threw them at New Jack, but Jack ducked out of the way and tackled Matt to the mat and started laying in some punches. New Jack had Matt down for what would be a short time and he knew it so he went into his pants and pulled out a ... a ... knife?!? Holy crap! New Jack brought the knife down into Matt's head and started carving him some Hardy. Matt Hardy was screaming out in pain and soon his skin gave away and he was busted wide open from ear to ear. New Jack was apparently satisfired with his work and tossed the knife back into the ring. New Jack thew Matt back into the ring and was right behind him. New Jack entered the ring and grabbed a toaster that was just sitting around the ring and crashed it into Matt's head, but Matt didn't go down. Matt's eyes suddenly got very big his whole body started shaking. It looked as if he had murder in his eyes...he looked just like he did last Monday! New Jack looked a little confused and even a little scared and he had good reason to be as Matt almost tore New Jack's head off with a lariat. Matt grabbed the toaster and started smashing it into New Jack's head until it basically exploded itno thousands of pieces. New Jack by this time had been busted open. Matt went over and grabbed the knife and started jabbing it into New Jack's forehead. Again, and again! He set the knife down and went over to where the hockey stick was. He grabbed it and came back to New Jack. He pried open New Jack's mouth and stuck the handle of the hockey stick in his mouth...uh-oh. Matt started putting pressure on the hockey stick and it was towards the back of New Jack's mouth. Oh my God, he is trying to ram it out the other side of New Jack's head!!! New Jack quickly tapped out, but Matt refused to let go of the stick. He continued to smash it into New Jack's mouth. Several referees came out, but they couldn't pry Matt off. Finally Jeff Hardy burst out of the locker room and slid into the ring. He tackled Matt to the ground causing Matt to release the hockey stick. Matt Hardy made New Jack submit after jamming a hockey stick into his mouth in 0:10:25. Rating: -3/4* Matt's eyes returned to their normal look and seemed to not know what was going on. Jeff helped Matt to the outside and helped him to the back while EMT's and referees scurried into the ring to check on the fallen New Jack. What in the world has happened to Matt Hardy? (We cut to the back where Dean Malenko is standing. He is breathing in very deeply and actually seems nervous, something we have never seen out of Malenko. He almost jumps when Raven sneaks up behind him and taps him on the shoulder. Dean turns around ready to smash somebody, but Raven puts his hands up as if to say he is coming in peace.) Raven: Just thought I'd say that I am sorry you are going to lose that title tonight. Dean Malenko: Yeah, well, what do you know about it? I am not losing this title tonight or any night. Raven: Oh, come off it, Dean. I walked by Mike a week or two ago. I saw that look in his eye. I don't think he can be beat by anybody right now. Especially tonight. He wants that title, you know. Very badly. Dean Malenko: He doesn't want this title as much as I do. This title is my life and I am not letting it go unless he kills me. Raven: Who is to say he won't? Dean Malenko (looking perhaps a little nervous): What? Raven: Nothing, just remember that there are three other guys wanting you to retain that title tonight and if you don't then us three may not be too happy with you come Drawing of the Four. Dean Malenko: Thanks for your concern, but I can handle myself. Mike Awesome is going down tonight, that I can promise you and come the pay-per-view I will still be the champ. And Scott, you are the first I plan on taking out there. Raven: I'll be looking forward to it. (We head back to ringside where the Extremists are making their way to the ring. Devon and Ace enter the ring and it's Devon who grabs the mic from the ring announcer.) Devon Storm: There are three guys that seem to be obsessed with taking the tag titles. Three guys that don't realize they are way over their heads and they just aren't good enough to be in our league. Quack, Eric, and D'Lo, do you all not realize that we defeated The Gangstanators in a falls count anywhere match? Do you all not not realize that we outwrestled the Untouchables? Do you not realize that we outbrawled the Head Hunters? We are the best damn team in this federation and you all know it. Brian Lee and Bam Bam Bigelow caught us on an off night and we really had no idea what type of match to prepare for. I am not trying to make excuses or anything like that, but we were cheated out of our tag titles. Now, D'Lo and Mike, we will be more than willing to give you a tag title shot after we win back our titles, but until then stay the hell out of our business. As for now, we have to go take our tag titles back from the morons that took them. ("Train" by Blackfoot and Brian Lee and Bam Bam Bigelow head towards the ring with the tag titles around each shoulder.) ------------------------------------------------------------- Brian Lee & Bigelow(c) vs The Extremists Tag Titles on the line! ------------------------------------------------------------- Very bad idea in calling the tag champions morons. They paid for it as Bigelow and Lee proceeded to give Ace and Devon a beating they won't soon forget. In fact it was beginning to look a little like As Good As It Gets until Ace Darling low blowed Brian Lee out of nowhere and took him off his feet with a dropkick. Bigelow saw what was happening and took his eyes off of Devon which is always a big mistake and Devon capitalized by nailing Bigelow from behind with a clothesline. Bigelow staggered forward and walked right it a Northern Lights Suplex delivered by Ace Darling. Ace actually got the big man off of his feet! That definately surprised some people. A bridge only got a two count before Brian Lee broke up the count. Devon jumped onto Lee with a high crossbody that took Lee down and that cover also only got a two. Ace and Devon had the tag champs reeling! Ace and Devon kept up the air attack and Bigelow and Lee didn't know where it was coming from. Devon would hit a move and they would walk right into Ace who would nail them with another. Lee did finally catch Devon as he was coming off the top rope, around the throat, and tried to Prime Time Slam him, but as he had him up Ace clipped his knee from under him. Lee fell and Storm landed on his feet. Bigelow knew that the titles were in jeapordy and tried his best to take out both Extremists as he charged them with a double clothesline, but they ducked under and as Bigelow bounced off the other ropes and came back at them they booted him in the stomach and nailed him with a double DDT. Bigelow was down and so was Lee! Devon springboarded himself to the top turnbuckle and came flying off with a legdrop onto Bigelow and went for the cover! THIS MAY BE IT! 1... 2... D'Lo breaks the cover up!!! Oh crap! Ace Darling and Devon Storm defeated Bam Bam Bigelow and Brian Lee when Storm defeated Bigelow by disqualification in 0:10:56. Rating: * 1/4 (Bam Bam Bigelow and Brian Lee retained the WWA World Tag Team Titles.) Quackenbush and Embry were with D'Lo and they proceeded to stomp a mudhole into Devon Storm and Ace Darling. Brian Lee fought his way to his feet, but D'Lo saw this out of the corner of his eye and blasted Lee with a savate kick that knocked Lee right back down to the mat. Ace was fighting with everything he had, but his punches just weren't having much effect and Embry and Quackenbush continued to smash him with forearms. Bigelow got up, but was blasted by D'Lo with a clothesline. D'Lo slid to the outside and grabbed a chair quickly and re-entered the ring just as Lee was getting back up and D'Lo sent the chair crashing into Brian's skull. Brian went back down once again. Bigelow got the same treatment as did Ace and Devon. These three soon had the tag champs and the Extremists laid out. ("Come Out and Play" by Offspring) Raven and Nova charged the ring and entered. Nova got a chair shot by D'Lo, but Raven ducked under the chair that was aimed at his head and surprised D'Lo with a boot to the stomach and an Evenflow DDT causing him to drop the chair. Raven grabbed the chair as he was rising to his feet and Embry and Quackenbush obviously didn't want any part of him as they exited the ring in a hurry, dragging D'Lo along with them. Raven didn't go over to check on Lee and Bigelow, instead he walked over to Ace, pulled him up by his hair and dropped him with the Evenflow onto the chair! He walked over to Devon and did the same to him! Raven exited the ring and also headed to the back while Nova, Lee, and Bigelow used eachother and the ropes to get to their feet. (We once again goto the back. We are with Dean Malenko once again. He was getting his knee taped up along with his elbow. He seemed to be concentrating really hard about his match coming up as it took Robert Thompson several "Dean!"'s before Dean realized he was there.) Robert Thompson: Just thought I would tell you that I have really gained some respect for you tonight. Most champs wouldn't have the guts to do this. Dean Malenko: Save the respect until I come back into the locker rooms with this title still around my waist. Robert Thompson: Okay, but remember, Dean, I am here if you need me. Dean Malenko: Thanks, Rob, but I won't need your help. He isn't going to beat me. I won't let him. Robert Thompson: I actually think you are going to do it, Dean. (Robert gets ready to leave, but remembers something.) Robert Thompson: Oh yeah, Dean, I hope you don't mind me teaming with Saturn tonight. This match was signed way before any of this happened. I needed a partner against Benoit and Lyger and didn't realize you were having so much trouble with him. Dean Malenko: No problem, Rob. I am just sorry I wasn't there for you, but I had to have this match tonight. Robert Thompson: I understand. This will be the last time I see you until after the match so I will leave you with these words:. kick his ass, Dean. (We head back to the ring where "Whoomp! There It Is!" is being played as Too Cold Scorpio makes his way down the aisle. He is apparently going to try and soften up one of Benoit's opponents at Drawing of the Four in Raven!) ------------------------------------------ Too Cold Scorpio vs Raven ------------------------------------------ Scorpio has been on a horrible downward spiral recently. It is hard to believe that Scorpio was once the #1 contender to the World Title and even fought Malenko for it on a PPV. But that was a long time ago and this is now. With a win here he would be able to elevate himself back up to the top. Raven on the other hand needs this win as some momentum going into the Drawing of the Four. In fact, a win here could very much determine if Raven will become the World Champ at the pay-per-view! Raven and Scorpio hooked up and it was Raven coming right off with the offense as he booted Scorpio in the stomach and dropped him with a swinging neckbreaker. A back suplex followed. He was going for the big offense right off the bat. Scorpio got back up from the suplex and was kicked in the gut and Raven had him setup for th Evenflow! This quickly! Luckily for Scorpio he was able to back bodydrop Raven over his shoulder and was released of the move. From there Scorpio took control with some brawling as he started to deliver some punches to Raven's cranium. Once he had Raven a little wobbily he went for some bigger offensive moves. He started right off hitting his own version of the back suplex. He then took Raven completely off of his feet with a roundhouse kick. Scorpio grabbed ahold of Raven and threw him to the outside and springboarded himself to the outside and on top of Raven with a plancha. Raven and Scorpio both went down, but it was obvious that Raven took the brunt of that blow. Scorpio picked Raven up and whipped him into the announcer's table. Raven's kidneys smacked dead on with the table and he looked to be in quite a bit of pain. Scorpio went over and grabbed the ringsteps and brought them over his head. He went to crashed them into Raven, but Raven ducked out of the way and the steps went crashing into the announcer's table where the table broke! Scorpio turned around, but was waiting for him as he kicked him in the stomach, got on his side, and brought Scorpio back with a Russian Legsweep right into the ringsteps. Both men ended up hitting their heads though and were knocked silly. Raven was the first man up and went over and grabbed the ringbell. He picked it up over his head and was ready to nail Scorpio with it, but Scorpio blocked it and tore it out of Raven's hands! He didn't miss, and Raven was smashed over the head with the ringbell. Scorpio dropped the ringbell and grabbed Raven by the hair and threw him into the ring. What Scorpio didn't see was Raven caught the ringbell before it dropped and he was hiding it from Scorpio! Scorpio picked Raven up off the mat and whipped him into the ropes. As Raven was coming back Scorpio went for his roundhouse kick, but Raven ducked under. Scorpio turned around and Raven smacked him with the ringbell! Raven dropped the ringbell right below him and Scorpio, and from there grabbed ahold of Scorpio and hit the Evenflow onto the ringbell!!! Scorpio was done for and Raven made the cover! 1... 2... 3!!! Raven pinned Too Cold Scorpio with the Evenflow DDT in 0:07:19. Rating: ** 1/2 (We head to the back where Mike Awesome is standing in front of a table, apparently thinking about something. Steve Corino walks by and Awesome stops him with a hand to the chest.) Mike Awesome: Hey, Steve, I need some help here. I am thinking about trying out a move tonight, but I don't know if it is going to work. I don't know if it is really that good. Steve Corino: Well, why do you need me? Mike Awesome: I thought you could just tell me if this moves hurts or not. (With that Mike boots Corino in the stomach, sets him up, and lifts him up and drops him through the table with an Awesome Bomb. Steve Corino screams out in pain.) Mike Awesome: I guess it works. (We head over to Dean's locker room where he is doing push-ups. He is starting to look very intense.) (We now go over to Jyushin Lyger and Chris Benoit, they are preparing for their match which is up next.) Jyushin Lyger: You think Dean has a chance? Chris Benoit: No chance in hell. Jyushin Lyger: I love that song. Chris Beniot: Time to go. Jyushin Lyger: Thompson and Saturn are in for an ass-kicking. (We are now in the ring where Thompson and Saturn are walking down together. They enter the ring and once their music stops, "Song 2" by Blur comes off the speakers and here comes Benoit and Lyger!) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert Thompson & Saturn vs Benoit & Lyger ------------------------------------------------------------------- It would be Thompson and Lyger starting it out. The history of these two is well documented and is one of the most heated feuds today. They might be having their final match with eachother come Drawing of the Four and so that match is going to be important for both men. Tonight they could try and soften eachother up. That is what Lyger apparently had in mind as instead of going straight to the air, he went to submission wrestling! This is something you don't see from Lyger very often, but he does it very well. Thompson wasn't expecting it either as he was soon on the mat howling in pain in the clutches of a Fujiwara armbar. Thompson tried to fight his way out of it, but it was no use. He instead went to the ropes and got the break. Thompson was back up quickly, but just seconds later he was back on the mat, this time in a Boston Crab. Thompson started crawling towards the ropes and grabbed ahold of them once again forcing the break. Lyger was ready for this match, there is no doubt about that. Thompson made the tag to Saturn who came in and came off a little better against Lyger. Lyger went back to his air-game against Saturn and it proved effective, but Saturn did catch Lyger once and from there it was all down hill for Lyger as Saturn dropped him with a brutal powerslam. Saturn tagged Thompson back in and from there Robert dominated. Robert targeted just one body part and we all know what part that is: the neck. These two men want to break eachother's necks with everything they have and Thompson had a free shot. He started dropping legs, elbows, and headbutts into the neck region. He even started choking the life right out of Lyger, but luckily Benoit was there to break it up. Once Thompson was satisfied that Lyger wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight if he were back to his feet, he lifted him up and dropped him with a piledriver...and again, and one more time! Instead of going for a cover he lifted Lyger back up and whipped him into the ropes. Lyger was very lucky that he was able to duck a lariat by Thompson and on the rebound took Thompson off his feet with a koppo kick! That came out of nowhere! Both men slowly crawled over and made the tag to their partners. Saturn and Benoit entered the ring in a rage, but it was Benoit who dominated Saturn as he pushed him into the turnbuckle and started laying in th beating including his devestating chops. Lyger was desperately trying to get up and help his partner, but it was of no use. His neck was in too much pain. Thompson went over to Lyger and lifted him up and dropped him with the Double Arm DDT! That'll break your neck. Lyger rolled to the outside in pain. This left Benoit alone with Saturn and Thompson, not good odds. Thompson attacked Benoit from behind and both heels laid in the offense. Saturn hit him with suplexes while Thompson attacked Benoit's neck with a vengeance. On the outside Lyger used all the energy he had to fight his way back to his feet. He slowly slid into the ring and got to his feet. Saturn was facing away from him and didn't even see Lyger charge him. Lyger jumped onto Saturn's back and both men went flying to the outside! They landed hard and both men didn't get back up. On the inside Thompson had lost his advantage over Benoit as Chris was firing back with some chops to the chest and a headbutt here and there. Benoit wanted to end it as he whipped Thompson into the ropes and bounced off his own ropes. They came charging at eachother, Benoit trying for a clothesline, but Thompson ducked. They came back a second time, off the ropes, Thompson this time went for the clothesline, but Benoit ducked. A third time saw both men ducking, thinking his opponent would be trying for the clothesline. Each time they were gaining more and more speed. On the fourth time Thompson went flying into the air as did Benoit ... they hit in mid-air, both going for a flying crossbody press and they landed onto the mat with Thompson on top! 1... 2... 3!!! Robert Thompson and Perry Saturn defeated Jyushin Lyger and Chris Benoit when R. Thompson pinned Benoit after a flying cross bodypress in 0:13:02. Rating: ** Robert Thompson with a huge win!!! HUGE! Thompson got up very slowly and walked to the back. Saturn was next while Lyger re-entered the ring and checked on his partner. Lyger's neck was still hurting him it seemed as he kept holding it. (We goto a split scene. On the left Mike Awesome has the Universal Title on his shoulder, walking. On the right it is Dean Malenko, World Title around his waist, walking. It was about to get nasty.) (The ring has been cleared and "War Pigs" comes off the speakers and Malenko is out first. The crowd boo's heavily, but Malenko doesn't even seem to notice. He isn't going to let anything bother him. We were told that Malenko, as the defending champion, had the right to come out last, but he rejected it as he wanted to apparently see the look in Mike's eyes as he was coming down the aisle.) (Once Malenko was in the ring "Come With Me" blaired over the speakers and it was Mike Awesome slowly walking down the aisle. He got about half way when he fell to the ground. SATURN WAS STANDING BEHIND HIM WITH A CHAIR! Sid was there as well!) Sid and Saturn started laying in the boots to Awesome and in the ring there is just Malenko with the biggeset grin ever on his face. Malenko exits the ring and walks right up to Saturn. They shake hands! He hugs Sid! And Malenko is leaving ringside and heading to the back! What the hell is going on here? Saturn picks the chair back up and crashes it into Awesome 5-6 more times. He hands the chair over to Sid who tries his luck. The crowd is literally shaking with boo's. Their dream match has just been dashed. A couple of fans try to jump over the guardrail, but security holds them back. (We fade to black as Sid and Saturn continue to smash the chair into Awesome's legs, skull, and chest.) |
