("Song 2" by Blur)

And here comes Chris Benoit and Jyushin Lyger to open things off!!! Just a week ago Dean Malenko, Sid, and Saturn injured the neck of the Giant. From a group that involved Benoit, Lyger, Frank Shamrock, Ken Shamrock, and The Giant trying to destroy Malenko and his henchman, we are now down to just the two men coming down the aisle right now.

Benoit grabs a mic and we are ready to hear what he has to say.

Chris Benoit: So Dean, I guess you realized that we were stronger than you. And once you realized that you started taking us out one by one. First injuring Frank, then turning Ken against us, and finally taking The Giant completely out of the picture by injuring his neck. Now you once again have the advantage. Once again going into As Good As It Gets I am the underdog. But you know what? I don't have a problem with that. Lyger is still watching my back and this time we aren't leaving eachother's sides. You aren't getting me or him seperately.

However, I will say this. I want a match with one of you assholes here tonight. I don't care if it's Sid, Saturn, or you, Malenko.

("Wag Pigs" by Black Sabbath)

And here comes Dean Malenko with the World Title on his shoulder and Saturn and Sid behind him. He has a mic in hand.

Dean Malenko:  Chris, your friends just keep falling and falling. That big, fat turd is now gone and I couldn't be happier. He was a waste of space and I really don't even know why the hell I brought him into the WWA in the first place. Frank is gone and that was just plain easy. Ken is off nursing his brothers wounds somewhere and blaiming you for his injury when I am the one that did it. Life is just too great, but I heard you say that you wanted one of us in the ring here tonight.

Well, I'll tell you what. Saturn doesn't have any plans tonight so he would be more than happy to take you up on that offer.

But understand this, Chris, by the end of the night Jyushin will also be in the hospital. You don't know when it is coming, but believe me, Jyushin will be stretchered tonight. By the end of the night, Jyushin, you will not be able to make it to As Good As It Gets, count on it.

And with that we have a main event!

If I were Jyushin I would be having several people watch my back, not just Benoit, because Malenko is more serious than I have ever seen him...and that's saying something.

----------------------------------------------------------------
Ken Shamrock vs Robert Williamson
----------------------------------------------------------------

Dean Malenko was wrong when he said that Ken Shamrock was back with Frank Shamrock as he was here tonight.  He was going to be doing battle with Robert Williamson who has been on a roll along with his brother, Jim. Ken has been on a rampage since the injury to his brother, but he wouldn't be going up against just anybody tonight as Robert has held his own very well so far in the WWA. This will be our first look at Robert in singles action and should be very interesting.

They locked up to start the match off and right off the bat Robert out-manuevered Ken and slipped in and nailed a Cobra Clutch Suplex. Ken was already down on the mat and hurting. Robert bounced off the ropes and jumped over the body of Ken, but on the rebound Ken had gotten back to his feet and backdropped Robert over the top rope and to the outside. Ken wasn't far behind.

He picked up Robert and threw him into the ringpost, knocking Robert loony in the process. He grabbed ahold of Robert and whipped him into the guardrail and charged in with a clothesline, but Robert ducked and Ken went sailing over the guardrail and into the fans. Robert used the guardrail as a springboard as he jumped onto the guardrail and came sailing off with a dropkick right into Ken's face. Robert took no time in picking Ken up and throwing back over the guardrail and into the ring. Robert whipped Ken into the ropes and on the rebound leveled Ken with a Yakuza Kick. Shamrock went down hard, but Robert picked him right back up and tried another Yakuza, but this time Ken ducked under and caught Robert unsuspecting with a legsweep. Ken appeared to of snapped as he got on top of Robert and straddled him and started using his fists of fire onto the face of Robert. After the count of 5 the referee pulled Ken off of Robert, but the damage was done as Robert was busted open above his eye.

Ken almost went after the referee, but the ref was quick to jump out of the ring. Ken turned back around to direct his attention to Robert, but was caught off guard with a superkick knocking Ken back down to the mat. Robert was pissed and you could tell. Looks like another person has lost his cool in this match. Robert then went for something that surprised everybody...the Ankle Lock Submission! The referee quickly jumped back into the ring while Ken was screaming out in pain and desperately reaching out for the ropes. Ken eventually got to the ropes, but you could see he was hurting. Robert took advantage by quickly kicking the leg out from under Ken. Ken refused to stay down, however, and got right back up. Robert though was far from done as he continued to kick at the ankle of Ken. Ken soon was back down on the mat. Robert made the mistake of not continuing to go after the leg and instead started dropping knee's across the neck of Ken and even tried a legdrop, but Ken rolled out of the way. Ken slowly got to his feet, and Robert wasn't far behind.

Robert went right for a clothesline, but Ken ducked under. Robert turned around and was promptly nailed with a Frankensteiner by Shamrock. Shamrock held onto a leg and went for the abrupt cover.

Well, it looked as if Robert had the win, but that one mistake obviously cost him. Robert was impressive though and we might see some more out of him in singles action. Ken grabbed a mic from our ring announcer as apparently he had something to say.

Ken Shamrock: Ok, mother******, don't either of you assholes think that I am done with you. Dean and Chris, despite what either of you have to say, you are both to blame for my brother being injured and I am going to take it out on both of you. In 6 days you two will do battle, but after the match I am taking both of your asses out.

And with that he threw the mic down and went to the back.

Our next bout had the makings for a good match.

Robert Thompson vs Fit Finlay
----------------------------------------------------------------

Robert Thompson has been on a mean streak just recently after he was nearly crippled at the hands of Jyushin Lyger. Thompson was dropped on a chair with a dragon suplex by Lyger and it severely injured his neck. It was later known that if he had landed just a few inches to his right he probably wouldn't be able to walk ever again. He was extremely lucky. He shouldn't be wrestling right now as this injury should of put him on the shelf for at least 2-3 months, but he refuses to stay down as he wants his revenge on Jyushin and the TV Title.

Fit Finlay has been on a slump as of late. He had one helluva good match with The Gladiator, but he hasn't been able to capitalize after losses to Too Cold Scorpio and Ken Shamrock.  If Fit can hit his Tombstone there is no doubt he will win this match, but will he cripple Robert in the process if he were to hit it?

As soon as Robert entered the ring he quickly attacked Fit and brought him down with a clothesline. Fit wasn't going to stay down, but Robert continued to pound on him as he was trying to get up. Robert realized he wouldn't be able to keep Fit down on the mat for long this way so he backed up and went into a 3 point stance. As soon as Fit was back to his feet Robert charged in, but Finlay lifted a knee and Robert was knocked silly. Fit went behind, hooked the waist and brought him back in a beautiful German Suplex, but it was only enough for a 2 count. Fit grabbed a handful of hair and brought Robert back to his feet....powerbomb! Fit wasn't going for a cover here though. He picked Robert back up and put him back in position...a second powerbomb! Those look devastating! Robert is barely moving, it looks like he might of hurt his neck even further. Fit was going for the early kill as he picked up Robert and lifted him up for the Tombstone! Robert slid out and got behind Finlay. Finlay turned around to go after Robert again, but Robert caught a punch of Finlay's and hooked on a armbar. This did little to hurt Finlay, as he just powered out of it and pushed Robert into the ropes. He whipped him into the ropes and went for a clothesline as Robert came back, but Robert ducked under. Robert hit the ropes a second time and came back, but this time went into the air and hit a flying crossbody. Finlay wasn't going down that way, as he held onto Robert and dropped him with a backbreaker. Finlay grabbed ahold of Thompson's legs and brought Thompson over in a Boston Crab. Thompson desperately was trying to get out of it as he slid to the ropes. Robert got to the ropes after several seconds, but Finlay just pulled Robert back into the middle of the ring and hooked it back on. Robert once again quickly slid back to the ropes and forced Finlay to break the hold.

Well, Finlay was getting tired of the games as he picked a tired Thompson up and dropped him with a gruesome looking Doctor Bomb. Thompson once again found it in him to kick out in two. Finlay and Thompson both got to their feets at about the same time, but it was Robert trying the first move, a savate kick. Finlay was ready, however, and caught the boot, grabbed ahold of Robert's head and brought him over in a fisherman's suplex. Instead of going for a bridge he instead let go of the hold. He apparently had other plans for Thompson. He stood above the head of Robert, apparently waiting for him to get up. Robert eventually did and staggered right into Finlay who lifted him up and had him in Tombstone position. LOW BLOW BY THOMPSON!!!! Finlay is walking around holding onto his groin...Thompson with a kick to the midsection....DOUBLE ARM DDT!!! COVER!!!

Whoa!!!! Thompson comes back from nowhere and gets the pinfall! What a comeback by Robert. Robert slowly gets back to his feet and quickly exits the ring before Finlay can wake up. We are now ready for our next match...

Jeff Hardy vs Billy Kidman
Lightweight Round Robin Tournament
----------------------------------------------------------------

Jeff and Matt Hardy are involved in a feud with The Gangstanators while Kidman is fighting it out with Little Dragon to prove who is the best lightweight. Both Little Dragon and Kidman are the top favorites to win the tournament and everybody thinks it will come down to them. But Kidman needed a win here to stay at the top of the tournament, while Jeff hasn't had much luck in singles competition.

Hardy and Kidman both started off using their aerial skill. Within minutes Hardly and hit a top rope Frankensteiner while Kidman nailed his Shooting Star Press just moments later. Both moves were kicked out of. Kidman was the one that kept on the pressure for most of the match, keeping Hardy grounded with an assorted batch of manuevers. Hardy tried a small comeback later on in the match after dodging a missile dropkick by Kidman and following it up with a senton splash. He then made a big mistake as he went for a powerbomb which Kidman caught and brought Jeff down with a faceslam. Kidman wasted no time in climbing to the top and nailing yet another Shooting Star Press, this one  giving him the victory.

Billy Kidman pinned Jeff Hardy with the Shooting Star Press in 0:08:46.

("Natural Born Killaz")

Oh great...Here comes John Kronus and New Jack! They throw the trashcan of doom into the ring and go right after an already beaten Jeff Hardy. Jeff tries to fight back, but is quickly put on the mat and has a cheese grater applied to his face courtesy of New Jack. Meanwhile John Kronus climbs to the top rope..New Jack pulls a now bloody Jeff Hardy over to the turnbuckle so Kronus can fly off and nail the 450. Matt is then shown peeking out behind the curtain and looking at what is going on...and leaves!!! Kronus and New Jack continue to celebrate while Jeff is helped to the back by Kidman, who apparently was just standing at ringside all this time.

The Mexican Jumping Beans vs
The California Kid and Scott Taylor
----------------------------------------------------------------

Not exactly a barn burner here. The California Kid appparently has found somebody after his own heart in Scott Taylor. The Kid came out with his surfboard in hand and suntan lotion on his nose while Taylor came out with a big floppy hat and jeans so baggy that they kept falling down while Taylor was trying to walk to the ring. Should be a very interesting team.  The Mexican Jumping Beans were the next ones out and the match was soon underway.

The Kid and Scott Taylor surprisingly showed some good tag team tactics here as they kept the Mexican Jumping Beans on defense for most of the match. Kid Guzman picked it up a little from his normal slow-ass self and even helped the match in some spots. The Kid went for his surfboard a little too early in the match and missed a shot at Pablo and instead hit Taylor who was holding Pablo up. Taylor was out for quite awhile after that, but eventually got back up and helped his partner in taking the win after The Kid hit the Wave onto Marquez.

California Kid pinned Marquez with the Wave in 0:07:27.

("Come With Me")

HOLY CRAP! Here comes "The Gladiator" Mike Awesome with the North American Title in hand!!! Awesome stepped over the top rope and lifted a boot just in time to stop a charging Kid Guzman. Scott Taylor was up next as he went for a dropkick on Awesome, but Mike simply swatted him away. As Scott was getting back up Mike grabbed him and put him between his legs and ... AWESOME BOMB! Pablo decides to leap on top of Awesome with a crossbody, but that does nothing as Awesome simply grabs ahold of him and drops him with a devastating powerslam. As Awesome was getting back up the California Kid came sailing off with a missile dropkick which connected. Awesome was staggering and the Kid wasn't done yet. The California Kid bounced off the ropes and went in with a clothesline. The Gladiator still was standing, but was on rubbery legs. The Kid tried it again only this time The Gladiator lifted a boot and nailed him in the stomach. As the Kid was bending over, gasping for air, Mike Awesome grabbed ahold, picked him up, and dropped him with a Running Awesome Bomb! Mike exited the ring and grabbed a mic from Bob Artese and in the process pushed Artese into the guardrail. He re-entered the ring and threw Pablo, the Kid, Taylor, and Guzman all to the outside before speaking.

Awesome: Well, I just took out four more men. Who here can give me a challenge? That answer to that question is nobody! Nobody here is able to even take me to my limits. I have disposed of numerous people and each person hasn't even come close. Until I get some real competition I am going to continue to lay people out as I look for some real competition. Hell, the Kid was the only one to even put up a little of a fight so I will tell you what. Kid, you got me on Heat. Mr. California you better pray you can take me to at least the 7 minute mark or I am going to send you back to California in a cardboard box.

As for D-Lo and Spike, I know this is supposed to be a triangle match, but I'll tell you what. Please don't attack eachother! Both of you come after me. I need a challenge and it looks like that is the only way I would get a challenge out of either of you. So just team up and try to take me down and I am begging you to lay a beating on my ass, because if you don't I will just have another easy night and in the meantime I will send you both to the hospital.

So here it is, if you face me than you better be ready to give me a challenge because if you don't I am going to destroy you. It's as simple as that.

We now cut backstage to the Hardy Boys talking to eachother. Jeff is getting stitches to his face by a doctor while Matt looks on.

Jeff Hardy: So just where the hell were you?
Matt Hardy: Jeff, you know about me and those hardcore brawls...
Jeff: That maybe so, but I was getting my ass kicked out there and I could of used some help.
Matt: Okay, I am sorry man, I will never let it happen again.
Jeff: Yeah, remember back at Free For All? You dodged that match with the Head Hunters as well.
Matt: I know and I said I was sorry about that.
Jeff: I was forced to wrestle with D-Lo! You know how that made me feel?
Matt: I know and I am sorry man, I just can't stand those types of matches with chairs and ... blood.
Jeff: Well, get over it or you maybe looking for a new partner.

It appears Matt has a little fear of hardcore matches...but speaking of D-Lo, he has a match up next!
(this isn't a rip off of Norman, but I will say that Norman is quickly becoming a favorite of mine to watch.)

----------------------------------------------------------------
D-Lo Brown vs Little Dragon
----------------------------------------------------------------

Should be an interesting match as Little Dragon is a top contender for the Lightweight Title while D_Lo Brown is the #1 contender for the North American Title. Who would be able to pull out the win in this match?

D-Lo went right after Little Dragon as he nailed him with a punch. D-Lo tried another, but this time Little Dragon used his quickness to grab ahold of D-Lo's arm and whipped him into the turnbuckle. Little Dragon quickly charged in and nailed a dropkick onto D-Lo as he was staggering out of the turnbuckle. Little Dragon got back to his feet and dropped a somersault legdrop right across D-Lo's chin. Little Dragon got back to his feet and D-Lo was right behind him, apparently the move didn't connect very well. Little Dragon bounced off the ropes and came charging at D-Lo Brown, but D-Lo grabbed ahold under the arms and lifted and went for the Sky-High, but Little Dragon grabbed ahold of D-Lo's neck with his legs as he was going down and used his strength to bring D-Lo over in a frankensteiner.

D-Lo was starting to see stars as he was swinging at air as he aws getting back to his feet. Little Dragon brought him back to the mat with a flying headscissors. Little Dragon then springboarded himself to the top turnbuckle and then just as quickly came sailing off with a moonsault. D-Lo had enough in him to move out of the way or it would of been over right there. D-Lo took the advantage as he nailed Little Dragon with several punches as Dragon was trying to getb ack to his feet. D-Lo then bounced off the ropes and sent Little Dragon back down to the mat with a lariat. Little Dragon got back to his feet once again, but D-Lo sent him back down with another lariat. D-Lo pulled Little Dragon back to his feet and then dropped him with a bodyslam right next to the turnbuckles. D-Lo climbed to the top and came sailing off with the Low Down. Little Dragon tried to roll out of the way, but still ended up getting quite a bit of the move. D-Lo hooked a leg and went for the cover.

Little Dragon just barely got out of it, but D-Lo wasn't going to let this slow him down. He picked Little Dragon back up and whipped him into the turnbuckle. He came charging in with a splash, but Little Dragon got out of the way at the last second and D-Lo hit nothing but a padded turnbuckle. D-Lo staggered back right into a schoolboy by Little Dragon.

That was very close. Little Dragon went to the outside this time and waiting on the ring apron. D-Lo got back to his feet and was looking around for Little Dragon until Little Dragon springboarded into the ring with a rana, but D-Lo caught him!!! RUNNING LYGER BOMB FROM D-LO!!!! We cut to backstage where Chris Benoit is talking to Jyushin Lyger in a locker room.

Chris Benoit: We know they are after you here so I am going to go out there by myself. Saturn will be out
there, but that still means Sid and Malenko are back here somewhere.

Jyushin Lyger: I know that, that's why I should go out there with you.

Chris: No, what would just make matters worse. You stay here.

(there's a knock at the door)

Chris: What?

Too Cold Scorpio walks into the room.

Scorpio: I've been seeing what's been going on so I figured I would come here and hang with Jyushin. Three on three are alot better odds.

Chris: Thanks, man. I have to get out there for my match, but you two stick together and I'll be back as quickly as possible.

Chris Benoit leaves and heads to the ring.

Jyushin: So he is able to take out Sid and Malenko, but I'm not? Ha!

Scorpio: Yeah, sounds like he doesn't have much confidence in us.

Jyushin: Let's go prove him wrong.

Jyushin and Scorpio leave the locker room and start calling out for Malenko!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------
Chris Benoit vs Saturn
----------------------------------------------------------------

Chris Benoit had no idea what was going on in the back as he entered the ring. Saturn charged in with a lariat, but Benoit ducked under. Saturn turned around and was quickly grabbed by Benoit who was going for a Northern Lights Suplex, but Saturn reversed it into a swinging neckbreaker to take the opening advantage. Saturn wasted no time in picking Benoit up off the mat and then dropping him with a Soviet Suplex. He then started laying the boots to him.

Meanwhile, in the back, Jyushin and Scorpio walk by a blind corner and Scorpio walks straight into a crowbar. Scorpio is down and Sid and Malenko step out in front of Lyger. Lyger takes no time in nailing Malenko with a koppo kick sending Malenko to the floor. But as Lyger gets up he is grabbed around the neck by Sid, but Lyger isn't done as he brings his foot up straight into the crotch of Sid. Sid bends over and Jyushin looks like he is going to try for a Lyger Bomb!!! ROBERT THOMPSON JUST NAILED LYGER FROM BEHIND WITH A CHAIR! Lyger is down!!! Sid and Malenko are getting back to their feet and Thompson is stomping the hell out of Lyger.

Back in the ring Benoit has made a comeback and starts chopping at the chest of Saturn. He tries one too many as Saturn grabs ahold of Benoit's arm and brings it down in an armbreaker. Benoit is clutching at his arm while Saturn picks him up and drops him in a bodyslam. He goes outside and to the top turnbuckle...elbowdrop from the heavens!!! Cover only gets a 2 count.

Back in the back we see Lyger busted open as Sid picks him up and drops him with a chokeslam through a table with assorted foods on it. Malenko then grabs ahold of the unconcsious Lyger and turns him over into the Texas Cloverleaf. All the while Robert Thompson smashing a chair across Lyger's neck and back.

Saturn continues to have the advantage until Benoit ducks under a lariat and as Saturn turns around he is picked up and dropped with a Death Valley Driver. Benoit signals for the end as he climbs to the top turnbuckle and comes sailing off with a flying headbutt. Saturn is pretty much out of it as Benoit clamps on the Crippler Crossface. With nowhere to go and nobody to save him Saturn taps pretty quickly.

Chris Benoit made Saturn submit to the Crippler Crossface in 0:06:56.
Rating: **

In the back Sid, Malenko, and Thompson finally leave a bloodied Lyger to lay in the remnants of the table and pieces of food scattered about. Scorpio crawls into the room and checks on Lyger. Scorpio's face is pretty much a crimson mask. Lyger's mask is also torn to shreds almost.

We now cut to Benoit walking in the back. He gets to his locker room and opens the door to find nobody.

Chris: Oh, shit.
