We had an exciting night of wrestling action. The show started off
with Commissioner Josh Cooper coming out and announcing that he would
see to it that Ace Darling and Devon Storm got their asses kicked at
Free For All. He then announced that he had signed the main event for
FFA and it would be Dean Malenko vs...none other than Frank Shamrock!
A huge announcement as Frank Shamrock has been on a hot streak for
quite awhile. After this was announced Ken Shamrock came out and asked
why his younger brother was getting the title shot when it was a well
known fact that he could beat Frank on any day of the week. Cooper
replied by saying that if he could defeat his younger brother Frank
next week on Terror he would receive the title shot instead of Frank.
Ken seemed happy and left. We cut to a backstage camera where we saw
Frank looking at a television set broadcasting what just happened. He
didn't seem too happy.

Fit Finlay vs Cobra
-------------------------------------------------------------

Our first match of the night had Fit Finlay wrestling Cobra. Cobra has
improved by leaps and bounds since his first match here in the WWA,
but is still a step behind most of the stars of the WWA. Cobra kept
the pressure on and out-wrestled Finlay for most of the 2 minute
match, but when Cobra went for a bodyslam Finlay slipped out. Cobra
turned around to see where Finlay went and was promptly nailed with a
kick to the midsection he was then picked up and dropped with the
Tombstone. Rack up another win for Finlay and another loss for Cobra.

Fit Finlay pinned Cobra with the Tombstone Piledriver in 0:02:40.

Before the next match could get underway Jyushin Lyger came out with
a microphone in hand.

"Commissioner Cooper, I hate to ask you for this because I know you
are so busy with the Extremists, but I am asking for a World Title
shot tonight on Terror. I defeated The Gladiator at Winterfest and
due to that I think I deserve a title shot. Malenko has been a crappy
champion and everybody knows it. He hardly ever defends the title and
when he does has to have The Giant save his ass. So I want the chance
to win the title and I will then get to show everybody what a real
champion is!"

-------------------------------------------------------------
Owen Hart vs Little Dragon
-------------------------------------------------------------

Our next matchup had Owen Hart doing battle with the rising superstar
Little Dragon. Little Dragon put up one hell of a fight hitting most
of his high-flying manuevers. Owen was constantly on the ropes and
couldn't keep up with Dragon's speed. Little Dragon tried one too many
high-flying moves, however, as Little Dragon went for a missile
dropkick, but Owen caught him in mid-air. Little Dragon landed hard on
the mat and was in perfect position for the Sharpshooter. Little
Dragon tried to hold on, but 15 seconds in the Sharpshooter was all it
took to get him to scream "I quit." After the match Robert Thompson
ran out and started to pound on Owen Hart. This sent Jyushin Lyger out
and the three men brawled for several minutes before security came out
and broke them up.

Owen Hart made Little Dragon submit to the Sharpshooter in 0:07:18.

Robert Thompson vs David Taylor
WWA TV TITLE ON THE LINE
-------------------------------------------------------------

Robert Thompson apparently wasn't thinking when he came out to have a
brawl as he had the next match. Not only that, but he was up against a
man who has been on a short winning streak in David Taylor. David
Taylor came out while the security was still trying to seperate the
three men and ambushed Robert with a chair. Things started off looking
bleak for the champion. Security finally got Hart and Lyger out of the
ring and the match was officially started. Taylor already had the
advantage and kept it. He used the same moves he has been using to
defeat Droz to keep Thompson on the mat. Thompson tried to make a
comeback by whipping Taylor into the turnbuckle, but Taylor reversed
it. Thompson charged into the turnbuckle and hit hard. He staggered
out and was taken right off of his feet with a bulldog. Taylor made
the cover, but Thompson somehow kicked out in 2. Taylor was preparing
to hit Thompson with his Double Underhook Suplex when Drozdov came
out. This distracted Taylor and caused him to let go of Thompson and
walk over and argue with Droz. Drozdov pointed behind Taylor and
started laughing and soon we all saw why. Thompson was back up! Taylor
turned around and was nailed with a kick to the stomach and then
dropped with the Double Arm DDT. Thompson had retained his title once
again by the skin of his teeth. Thompson left after grabbing his title
allowing Drozdov to
enter the ring and pound the crap out of Taylor. Drozdov finished it
off with a Tombstone piledriver. Drozdov then left as well leaving
Taylor knocked unconscsious.

Robert Thompson pinned David Taylor with the Double Arm DDT in
0:17:09.

Dean Malenko came out with The Giant at his side before the next
match and he had a mic in his hand as well.

"Lyger, good job! You just did the one thing that I refused to do to
get ahead in the business and that is kiss ass. So now I have a title
match with you tonight. Well, I am planning on proving to you and the
entire world that I am a deserving champion and that your claims are
false."

"Benoit, don't even think about interfering in my match or I will have
The Giant come out and kick your ass. In fact, now that I think about
it, at Free For All how about you face The Giant and if you can beat
him you will get a title shot against me at the next pay-per-veiw!
It's a chance of a lifetime all you have to do is accept it and face
The Giant and beat him at Free For All."

The Head Bangers vs The Untouchables
   WWA DEBUT!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------

Tonight saw the debut of Mosh and Thrasher, the Head Bangers, in tag
team competition against The Untouchables. The Head Bangers had the
change of getting a huge win in their debut match while The
Untouchables had to win this to stay out of obscurity. Basically do or
die for the Untouchables. The Untouchables wrestled the match of their
life, but didn't really know what to expect from The Head Bangers and
couldn't really decide on what to do with them. The Head Bangers
meanwhile went on the offensive and dominated them for the opening
sequence. The Untouchables made a comeback, however, when Corino made
the hot tag to Steve Strong who entered the ring and took both Mosh
and Thrasher down with a pair of clotheslines and followed them up
with a couple of dropkicks. As soon as Mosh got up he was sent back
down by a bodyslam and Thrasher got the same treatment. Strong owned
the Head Bangers until he went for a back suplex on Thrasher which
Thrasher countered with a poke to the eye. Thrasher capitalized by
nailing Strong with a low blow which sent him down. Thrasher never saw
Corino behind him and Corino hooked on a full nelson...or so we
thought until he picked him up and dropped him with the Dragon Suplex.

The Untouchables defeated The Headbangers when Corino pinned Thrasher
with the Dragon Suplex in 0:09:02.

The Untouchables get right back up there in the mix of things while
The Head Bangers have a dissapointing debut. There will be other
matches though.

Too Cold Scorpio vs Scott Taylor
    WWA DEBUT!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------

Our next match saw the debut of Scott Taylor. Scott Taylor cost Brian
Christopher a match this past Saturday and nobody would be surprised
if Christopher did the same here tonight. Turns out he didn't need as
Taylor's opponent, Too Cold Scorpio, pretty much dominated the
matchup. Scorpio is trying to get back on track after losing to
Malenko at Winterfest and a win here was just what he needed. That is
also what he got. He hit his 450 Splash to get a convincing win.
Scorpio left after the match leaving Taylor wide open to Brian
Christopher. Christopher came out with a chair in hand. He entered the
ring and sat on a turnbuckle. What he was doing was soon shown to us
as he was simply waiting. Taylor took his time and eventually got to
his feet and this is what Christopher wanted as he sailed off the top
rope with a chair in hand and sent it right into Taylor's head. Taylor
fell back down and Christopher left holding his dented chair. Taylor
was busted open above the eye and he had to be helped to the back. Why
are two former teammates feuding with eachother?

Too Cold Scorpio pinned Scott Taylor with the 450 Splash in 0:08:33.

Luck of the Draw (G!L!W!)
-------------------------------------------------------------

The Luck of the Draw match was up next and poor Too Cold had to be
called right back out as he was the first wrestler chosen. "Natural
Born Killaz" then blaired over the speakers and out came New Jack with
his trashcan full of weapons. Scorpio vs New Jack! A huge match! New
Jack hurled his trashcan into the ring, but Scorpio caught it! New
Jack entered the ring and was greeted to the trashcan right between
his eyes. New Jack was already busted open. Scorpio followed it up
with several punches to the head and then tried to whip him into the
turnbuckle, but New Jack reversed it. New Jack then went over to the
trashcan and got out a broom. He started sweeping around the ring
before breaking it over Scorpio's head. Scorpio fell back and
apparently was out. New Jack grabbed a hockey stick from out of the
trashcan and spread Scorpio's legs...LOW BLOW WITH THE HOCKEY STICK!
That woke Scorpio up and he was rolling around the ring holding his
lower region. Scorpio ended up rolling out of the ring trying to get
away from New Jack, but New Jack was quick to follow him. New Jack
threw Scorpio into the guardrail and followed it up with a lariat
sending Scorpio over the guardrail and into the crowd. New Jack leaped
over the guardrail and followed Scorpio to the back of the arena. New
Jack stopped to pick up a chair and cracked it right across Scorpio's
back. Scorpio kept moving, however, and soon they were at a concession
stand. New Jack put Scorpio on a table and then went climbing up a
ladder to a balcony. Scorpio was right behind him though and New Jack
didn't know it. As soon as New Jack got on top of the balcony he
looked down only to see Scorpio had moved...New Jack: "WHAT THE
FUCK!?! NOBODY EVER MOVES FROM THIS SPOT! I AM GOING TO RAM MY FOOT UP
HIS ..." at this point Scorpio had came from behind and pushed him off
the balcony. New Jack went sailing right through the table he had put
Scorpio on awhile ago. New Jack was out, but Scorpio didn't care as he
sailed off the balcony with a flying legdrop. New Jack didn't even see
it coming and couldn't do anything about it anyways as Scorpio was
falling fast. Scorpio hit hard and you could hear him scream out
"Fuck" as his leg hit New Jack. Both men were in pain, but Scorpio was
the first man up and he picked New Jack up and dragged him back into
the ring. Once they were back in the ring New Jack tried to hit
Scorpio with a clothesline, but Scorpio ducked and when New Jack
turned around he was leveled with a dropkick right into his face.
Scorpio picked New Jack back up and then dropped him with a bodyslam.
He climbed to the top and...450!

Scorpio got back up and walked out of the ring limping and went to the
back while John Kronus came out to make sure New Jack was okay. It
seemed he was, but before he could get to the back The Extremists ran
out and blasted both men with chairs. Devon Storm followed it up by
nailing Kronus with a Thunderclap Brainbuster onto a chair. Kronus
wasn't moving and rightfully so. Ace Darling meanwhile just stomped
the hell out of New Jack. Ace Darling then picked New Jack up and set
him on the top turnbuckle with New Jack facing the crowd instead of
the ring. Ace Darling followed him up facing the crowd as well. We
then saw what he was planning...TOP ROPE GERMAN SUPLEX! Darling and
Storm then left laughing while Kronus and New Jack had to be
stretchered out. More people are stretchered out here in the WWA than
anywhere else!

Dean Malenko vs Jyushin Lyger
WWA WORLD TITLE ON THE LINE
-------------------------------------------------------------

Jyushin Lyger had a chance of a lifetime. All he had to do was keep
Malenko's shoulders on the mat for 3 seconds and he would become the
new Heavyweight Champion. Malenko wasn't going to let this happen
easily though. The match was underway after the introductions and both
men took it to eachother with a passion. Lyger hit the first big move
by nailing Dean Malenko with a fisherman's buster but Dean got out in
2. Moments later Liger missed a koppo kick and was dropped with a
double underhook powerbomb for his mistake. Malenko was quick to try
and execute the Texas Cloverleaf after hitting his setup move, but
Liger sliipped out somehow. After Lyger was up he charged at Malenko
with a Frankensteiner, but Malenko dropped him with a powerbomb.
Malenko then followed it up with a figure four leglock. Lyger was
close numerous times to submitting, but somehow found it in himself to
not utter the two words. Malenko finally got frustrated and released
the hold. Both men got to their feet and Malenko went for a dropkick
to the knee, but Liger dodged out of the way. Malenko got up but was
sent back down with a Frankensteiner. Liger was limping and everybody
saw it, but Liger didn't let it slow him down. Liger climbed to the
top rope and as Malenko got up he sailed off with a missile dropkick.
Malenko was down and Liger went for the cover.

    NO!!!

Malenko had enough sense in him to kick out. After this close call The
Giant came out and it was pretty obvious he was planning on causing
some damage. Before he could get to the ring though he was ambushed
from behind by Benoit. Benoit wasn't going to let The Giant save
Malenko this time. Benoit dragged The Giant back to the locker rooms.

This match was going to have a clean winner.

Liger was a little distracted by the brawl at the entrance way and
didn't even notice Malenko from behind. Malenko quickly hooked his
arms around Liger's waist and brought him back with a German Suplex.
Liger was so stunned that he didn't even know his shoulders were on
the mat.

    KICKOUT!

Liger somehow kicked out. How? We will never know. Malenko capitalized
on Liger's disorientation by bringing Liger down with a dropkick to
the knee. He then went for the Texas Cloverleaf again, but Liger
hooked Malenko's head and brought him over with a weird version of a
small package.

  2...
    NO!

Malenko kicked out! The crowd was going apeshit and nobody knew how
this one was going to end. Malenko got up but was nailed with a kick
to the midsection by a recovering Lyger. Lyger then picked Malenko up
for a piledriver...no, a powerbomb...RUNNING LYGER BOMB!!! COVER!!!

  2...    3!!!
      NO KICKOUT!!!

Malenko kicked out of the LYGER BOMB! Nobody could believe it and
neither could Lyger or Malenko. Lyger was signaling for the end
though. He picked Malenko up and once again went for the Lyger
Bomb...Malenko slipped out from behind! Lyger turned around...Malenko
nailed him with a kick to the midsection and then a double underhook
powerbomb. Malenko grabs Lyger's legs and ... TEXAS CLOVERLEAF!!!
LIGER IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! Liger is desperately trying to get
to the ropes, but Malenko yanks back even further. Liger stretches
even further! He is just about 4 inches away from the ropes. Malenko
yanks back with all his might and force and we hear 2 words which stop
the fight.

Malenko had just retained his title in one of the best matches of his
life. He was so close numerous times to losing it, but somehow he
retained the gold. Malenko was quick to grab his title and leave while
Liger slowly got to his feet, but it was pretty obvious his leg was
hurt. Liger had his chance and did a hell of a job, but he couldn't
get the job done.

Dean Malenko made Jyushin Lyger submit to the Texas Cloverleaf in
0:18:39.
