Rating: 3/4* --------------------------------------------------------------------- Owen Hart vs Robert Thompson for the WWA TV Title --------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert Thompson does what everybody knew he could, he beat Owen Hart and thus won the TV Title! This match was also clean which shocked some people. Owen and Robert put on a great wrestling match and Owen even had the Sharpshooter on Robert, but Robert somehow struggled to the ropes. Owen tried to follow it up by Irish Whipping Robert into the ropes, but Owen put his head down just a moment too soon and that gave Robert the perfect chance to hook Owen's arms and hit his Double Arm DDT. Robert rolled over and hooked a leg and the ref delivered the 3 count! Robert Thompson jumped up and started celebrating until D-Lo Brown and The Gladiator ran out and just started to pound on him. This brought out Jyushin Lyger and Ken Shamrock who quickly got Robert out of harm's way. They then left with Thompson holding his TV Title tightly. It looks like Shamrock and Lyger have found another person to help them in their battle with The Nation. Robert Thompson pinned Owen Hart with the Double Arm DDT in 0:16:49. Rating: *** (Robert Thompson won the WWA Television Title.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Frank Shamrock vs Billy Kidman --------------------------------------------------------------------- The next match had Frank Shamrock and Billy Kidman going at it. Rating: ** 1/2 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Bill Goldberg vs Too Cold Scorpio --------------------------------------------------------------------- The next match was going to be interesting as it was between two of the top fan favorites, Too Cold Scorpio and Goldberg. Scorpio and Goldberg both exchanged moves for several minutes until Destruction came down with Jackyl. Destruction looked as mean as ever. Jackyl had a microphone and said that Destruction was determined to be the only heavyweight in this promotion and he would not stop with Goldberg until Goldberg left the WWA. Goldberg was distracted by these words which gave Scorpio the chance to clip his knee. Scorpio then quickly hit a back suplex. Scorpio climbed the ropes and hit his 450 Splash to get the win. Scorpio walked off, but not before, through a camera, challenging Malenko. Goldberg meanwhile just got to his knees and looked very upset. Too Cold Scorpio pinned Bill Goldberg with the 450 Splash in 0:14:20. Rating: * 1/4 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Destruction vs Jyushin Lyger --------------------------------------------------------------------- Destruction came right back out due to him being in the next match against Jyushin Lyger. Destruction and Lyger put on a great match and despite Lyger's best efforts he just couldn't get the job done. At the end Lyger tried to hit Destruction with some sort of flying axehandle or something, but Destruction caught him by the neck and plowed him into the mat with Pure Destruction. Destruction walked away with the win while The Nation ran out and tried to get an attack in on Lyger, but they were followed by Ken Shamrock who chased the 3 Nation members off. Destruction pinned Jyushin Lyger with the Pure Destruction in 0:11:02. Rating: ** 1/2 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Luck of the Draw (G!L!W!) match --------------------------------------------------------------------- Jyushin Lyger was rolling around on the mat holding his neck when it was time for our Luck of the Draw match. And as luck would have it Lyger's name was chosen. However, in a little bit of good news, Kid Guzman was announced as his opponent. Lyger was out of it for most of the match, but just needed to hit one flying crossbody press to get the 3 count over Guzman. Jyushin Lyger pinned Kid Guzman after a flying cross body press in 0:07:12. Rating: ** 1/2 --------------------------------------------------------------------- The Gangstanators vs The Head Hunters --------------------------------------------------------------------- It was then time for the main event where The Head Hunters were facing The Gangstanators. These two teams did their normal brawling around the arena and New Jack hit a dive off the balcony onto HH#2. Back in the ring it was Kronus doing battle with HH#1. Kronus ended up hitting a version of the Michinoku Driver and went for the pin, but it was broken up by Ace Darling and Devon Storm. Devon picked Kronus up and hit him with his Thunderclap Brainbuster and they both left the ring. Before they could get all the way to the back though they were ambushed by The Untouchables. Meanwhile in the ring HH#1 got back to his feet and hit a moonsault onto Kronus to the pinfall.
