"As enemies it's simply As Good As It Gets."

The words "As Good As It Gets" start flashing and then explode as we go into the arena of our big PPV. It's a sold out arena as the crowd jumps to their feet and start showing their signs and cheering their heads off. We waste no time in getting to the action as "Whoomp! There it is!" turns the crowd even more excited.

Too Cold Scorpio vs Sid
-------------------------------------------------------

As soon as Sid got in the ring he charged at Scorpio with a big boot, but Scorpio ducked under and started peppering Sid with blows to the face as Sid turned around. Scorpio is still wearing that bandage so we can expect at least a little blood later. Scorpio's blows were too weak to do any serious damage so Scorpio went to the air and nailed a dropkick, but Sid just brushed it off. Scorpio got right back up and tried another with the same result. Scorpio wasn't giving out any damage. Scorpio looked out the crowd ... then got a pissed off look, he tackles Sid and starts laying in the blows!!! Sid wasn't ready for that and Scorpio takes advantage. Shortly thereafter Sid gets his bearings and gets back to his feet only to be nailed with a savate kick by Scorpio. Scorpio went straight to the top turnbuckle and came sailing off with a double axehandle, but Sid had his bearings back and caught Scorpio by the neck. He lifts him...Choke Slam!

But Sid wasn't going for the cover. He picked up Scorpio and threw him into the ropes...big boot and Scorpio goes down and WE HAVE BLOOD! Scorpio has been busted open and it's a nasty cut as he quickly has a crimson mask. Scorpio slowly gets to his feet and is kicked in the midsection and Sid grabs him and puts him between his legs. Looks like he is already going for the Powerbomb! Scorpio is trying to counter, but it's pointless as Sid is much stronger and he lifts Scorpio up and drops him with a heavy thud. Sid is thinking about making the cover, but decides not too. He picks Scorpio up and throws him to the outside and Sid is right behind. Sid lays in some blows and is setting up a table. He grabs Scorpio and he's going for another Powerbomb! Scorpio is lifted up, but he's holding onto Sid's head and slides out. Sid turns around and Scorpio nails him with a dropkick which puts Sid onto the table. Scorpio gets back onto the apron and climbs the turnbuckles and gets to the top. He sails off with an elbowdrop, but Sid moves out of the way and Scorpio goes crashing through the table. By this time Scorpio has stopped bleeding, but there is blood all over including on Sid and the ring.

Sid has decided it is time to finish it as he picks Scorpio up out of the remnants of the table and throws him into the ring. Sid grabs Scorpio by the neck and brings him to his feet. Sid is going for another Choke Slam...but Scorpio counters it with a kick to the groin! Sid is hurt! Scorpio is going to the top and he looks like he is going for a moonsault! He comes sailing off with a moonsault bodyblock, but Sid catches him!!! He drops him with a Tombstone and Scorpio is even further out of it now. Sid quickly picks Scorpio up and drops him once again with a Power Bomb. The cover...

Well, that sure wasn't pretty. Seems like Scorpio was basically squashed, but maybe he was just tired from his match yesterday with Spike Dudley. Regardless, Sid picks up the big win giving Malenko some momentum in his match with Benoit.

(We cut backstage where the door to the outside opens and in walks....OH MY GOD! Jyushin Lyger is here!!! He is on crutches, but he is here!!! Robert Thompson better be ready for the fight of his life.)

(We now cut to backstage where Jeff Hardy is standing with Billy Kidman.)

Jeff Hardy: I'm sorry to ask you this, it's just I had nowhere else to go.

Billy Kidman: Hey, no problem. I wasn't exactly happy with them for interfering after our match anyways. Time for some revenge.

Jeff Hardy: My brother is going to pay for this, I don't care how scared he is of hardcore matches, you don't stand your brother up when he needs you.

I guess Matt Hardy isn't here...leaving Jeff Hardy all alone in his match with The Gangstanators. Matt apparently can't overcome his fear. But it looks like Kidman will be helping Jeff out in his match with the Gangstanators so lets get to the action.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Billy Kidman & Jeff Hardy vs The Gangstanators
-------------------------------------------------------------------

("Natural Born Killaz")

Here we go!! New Jack and Kronus come out with their trashcan of doom and throw it into the ring, but Kidman catches it and throws it into New Jack's face as he enters the ring. Kronus is still on the outside and Hardy runs full speed at him and jumps straight over the ropes and onto him with a full speed senton. Hardy is laying in the blows while Kidman grabs a hockey stick out of the trashcan. He is dancing around like New Jack....New Jack gets up and the hockey stick is smashed right across his face. New Jack is down and hurt! Kidman isn't done as he picks up a bloodied New Jack and whips him into the ropes and nails him with a Frankensteiner on the rebound.

On the outside Hardy whips Kronus into the guardrail. He grabs a chair and opens it up. He runs, springs off the chair...AIR HARDY! Kronus staggers off of the guardrail and flips over the chair. Jeff jumps back onto the chair and then onto the guardrail and then jumps back into the ringside area and onto Kronus with a legdrop. Jeff is a man posessed. He picks Kronus up and throws him into the ringpost and Kronus is in loony land.

Kidman continues his punishment on New Jack as he grabs a cheese grater out of the trashcan, wait he doesn't want it and he throws it into the fans! Kidman picks up a cookie sheet and he seems to like this a little better. New Jack is slowly getting to his feet but is nailed with the sheet and he falls back to the mat. Kidman goes back into the trashcan of goodies and pulls out a bottle with something in it. Kidman uncorks the bottle, takes a swig, and then smashes it across the head of New Jack. Kidman picks New Jack up and whips him into the turnbuckle and comes charging in, but New Jack gets his boot up. New Jack then takes Kidman off his feet with a clothesline.

Jeff has taken John Kronus to an open area with a balcony overlooking it. Alot of merchandise stands around here as well. Jeff throws Kronus into a stand full of t-shirts and then joins him in the mess. Hardy picks Kronus up and nails a jumping side kick. Kronus is busted open above his eye and things aren't looking good for him. Jeff Hardy pulls out a table from the carnage and sets it up below the balcony and now he is leaving...Wonder what's going on?

New Jack actually tries a move, a powerbomb, Kidman counters it with a facebuster. Kidman than goes to the outside and walking back to where Kronus is. He gets there soon enough and nails Kronus as Kronus was getting off the table with a chair. Kronus is now completely out of it and we now find out where Jeff went...he is on top of the balcony!!! Kronus is on the table and Jeff comes sailing off....THAT ISN'T A SPLASH! THAT'S A SOMERSAULT SENTON BOMB!!! Hardy nails it and Kronus is sent through the table! Jeff just barely got over in time or he would of probably broken his neck. Jeff and Kronus are down and Kidman is heading back to the ring.

Kidman gets back to the ring and walks right into...*KAPOW* GUITAR SHOT BY NEW JACK! Kidman is down and out. Here comes Jeff Hardy running to the ring, but New Jack is making the cover.

Jeff Hardy just barely makes the save!

Jeff picks up New Jack and whips him into the ropes and nails him with a spinning leg lariat knocking New Jack to the mat. Jeff goes and picks up the trashcan and waits for New Jack to get back to his feet. New Jack very slowly rises only to be nailed in the head with the trashcan. New Jack is down and Hardy puts the trashcan onto New Jack's chest. Hardy springboards to the outside and then climbs to the top turnbuckle. He goes flying off with a frog splash and nails it, flattening the trashcan and New Jack's chest. He isn't done as he picks New Jack up and whips him into the ropes and nails a Frankensteiner and holds onto the legs with a cradle.

New Jack with the Frankensteiner in 0:15:40.
Rating: * 3/4

Jeff Hardy picks Kidman up and they stumble to the back together. Kidman is still very wobbily. Meanwhile some medics come out to help Kronus to the back and New Jack walks back on his own power. New Jack was busted wide open sometime ni that match as blood was just pouring off his face. He didn't look too happy either. I doubt this issue is settled.

We now have a match that is going to be full of intensity. Ken Shamrock, who says he will attack both Benoit and Malenko after their match tonight, will go one on one with Saturn.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturn vs Ken Shamrock
-------------------------------------------------------------------

It was obvious that Shamrock's mind wasn't on this match after only a few minutes in. Shamrock would apply an armbar or a headlock, and Saturn would quickly escape it or counter it with a move of his own. After one of these times Shamrock walked right into a powerslam from Saturn and had the wind knocked out of him and was almost pinned. That seemed to of knocked a little sense into Shamrock as he started to get back on the offensive. He simply stepped out of the way of a Saturn Asai Moonsault and started laying the boots to Perry. Saturn quickly got back to his feet and took Shamrock down with a spin kick. Shamrock went down, but got right back up. Saturn hooked him for a tiger suplex, but Shamrock countered it with a go-behind and then brought Saturn's arms up in a full nelson. Saturn stayed in this position for all of about 5 seconds before Saturn started powering out of it. He eventually broke the hold, but when he turned around he was taken over with a Frankensteiner.

      kickout!

Saturn was right back to his feet, but Shamrock grabbed him and nailed a takeover suplex. Saturn got up again, but this time more slowly. Shamrock grabbed ahold of Saturn and whipped him into the ropes, but Saturn reversed it. As Shamrock came back Saturn jumped in the air and nailed a Thesz Press onto Shamrock. Shamrock was more stunned than hurt because he got right back to his feet, but really didn't know where he was allowing Saturn to easily hit a German Suplex with a bridge.

   2...
       kickout!

As soon as Shamrock got up he was hooked into a tight looking bearhug. Shamrock brought his knee up into the ribcage of Saturn and forced Saturn to release the hold. Shamrock grabbed ahold of Saturn as if he were going for a bearhug, but instead brought him over with a over the head belly to belly suplex. Shamrock seemed to of lost his cool as he started screaming and he grabbed the leg of Saturn, but instead of going for an Ankle Lock, he grabbed the knee and turned it into a kneelock hold. Saturn was screaming out in pain and was desperately reaching for the ropes. After about 15 seconds of this he finally got to the ropes forcing Ken to break the hold. Ken released the hold, grabbed Saturn's legs, and pulled him back into the middle of the ring! Instead of going for another submission hold though he cradled he sat on top of Saturn, cradling Saturn's arms in the process, and started punching the crap out of Saturn. Saturn couldn't take much more of this punishment. The referee finally got him off after about 8 or so seconds. Shamrock picked Saturn up and whipped him into the ropes. Saturn still had something in him as on the rebound he went for a lariat, but Shamrock ducked under, grabbed the arm and jumped up and caught Saturn's other arm with his legs and brought him down in a crucifix.

   2...
       kickout!

Ken once again got right back to his feet and grabbed Saturn and went for a DDT, but this time Saturn brought his arm up in a low blow knocking Shamrock down. Saturn tried to catch his breath before Shamrock got back to his feet, but it wasn't long. Saturn tried to take him back down with a standing dropkick, but Shamrock simply side-stepped it and Saturn hit nothing but air. Saturn hit the mat, but just as quickly he got back to his feet, but Shamrock nailed him with an elbow, another elbow, a kick to the thigh, and he finished it up with a kick to the head knocking Saturn to the mat. Saturn had been busted open hardway by his ear from that last kick, but Saturn didn't care. He was pulled back to his feet by Shamrock and whipped into the ropes, but ducked under a clothesline from Ken, and nailed Ken with one of his own on his second time against the ropes. The blow was hard enough to send Ken flying to the outside. Ken looked to of hit hard on the outside and Saturn took this time to take a breather on the inside. He didn't have long as Ken was back in the ring at the count of 5 and went right back after Saturn. They started exchanging blows and the crowd was getting to their feet. Saturn seemed to of gotten the upper hand when Ken struck with a blow to the throat! Saturn went down quickly and the blow was so fast that the ref didn't even see it. Ken went straight to Saturn's neck and hooked on a guillotine choke. Saturn's face was turning blue, but he refused to tap. But there was nothing he could do and was only causing himself further damage so after about 12 seconds of this he signaled that he quit.

Ken Shamrock made Saturn submit to a guillotine choke in 0:13:22.
Rating: *** 3/4

Ken Shamrock got up as soon as he heard the bell and stalked to the back as if he didn't even know he had just won a match. It's obvious that he has his full attention towards later tonight.

Our next match has turned into of the most heated feuds of recent memory. Jyushin Lyger almost broke Thompson's neck and took his TV Title in the process at our last PPV, Free For All. Thompson thinks Lyger was trying to break his neck on purpose. Lyger denies it, but just last Monday Thompson helped Sid and Malenko attack Lyger and they injured Lyger's leg in the process. So Thompson goes in with a severely injured neck while Lyger has been told he needs to take a few months off. But he has refused and we have a match here tonight between two men that aren't even close to 100%. Their past battles have been 4* encounters and tonight they will try to have another, but with both men injured it will be hard.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Jyushin Lyger(c) vs Robert Thompson
TV Title on the line!
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Lyger and Thompson went right after eachother as soon as the bell rang. They exchanged blows with Jyushin seeming to get the advantage. Thompson sensed this and not wanting to lose the first skirmish sneaked in a kick to Lyger's stomach. Lyger bent over, gasping for air. Thompson grabbed him and looked like he was going for a suplex, but instead dropped Lyger straight on his head with a brainbuster. He was making his plans very clear. He wanted to injure the neck of Lyger's. A cover only got a 2 count. Lyger wasn't going to go down in the first seconds of a mach regardless of his injuries. He was back up to his feet in short order, but Thompson took him right back down with a belly to belly suplex. Thompson tried to keep Lyger on the mat, but Lyger got right back up absorbing the blows being poured onto him. Thompson whipped Lyger into the ropes, but Lyger went to the air for the first and brought Thompson down with a flying headscissors. Lyger wasn't worried about his leg, he was going to go all out. Thompson was up and ran right into a gutwrench suplex, but a cover only kept him down for a 2 count. Lyger grabbed ahold of Robert and whipped him into the ropes, but Robert reversed it. Robert made another mistake as he lowered his head too soon and Lyger nailed a koppo kick to the head and back of Robert. Thompson hit the mat, but Lyger pulled him right back up...picked him up over his shoulder...RUNNING LYGER BOMB!

      KICKOUT!

How in the hell did Thompson just kick out of that with his injured neck? Thompson had to of just re-injured his neck.  Lyger couldn't believe it, but was sensing that this could be a quick match. He picked Thompson up and whipped him into the ropes. Thompson was picked up and dropped with a powerslam, but that only got a 1 count. Thompson was getting up quicker, but Lyger knew what he had to do. Lyger ducked under a punch from Robert and caught Thompson off balance and picked him up ... oh my! He is going for a Tombstone! HE CONNECTED! Thompson's neck!! He might have broken it!!! Lyger makes the cover.

           Huh? Kickout!

Thompson just kicked out of a Tombstone Piledriver! Thompson's neck has to be under a great deal of strain right now, but he is still fighting! What will Lyger be able to do to finish this guy off? Both men slowly get to their feet, Thompson's face is a mask of pain. They start exchanging punches with neither getting the upper hand. They both decide to bounce against the ropes and as they come back they both level eachother with clotheslines and both men are down. The ref starts to count both men down, but at the count of 6 they are back to their feet. Thompson finally saw an opening and blasted Lyger in his lower back with a knee. Thompson then blasted the back of Lyger's neck with a clothesline. Lyger went to the mat and Thompson quickly grabbed the leg of Lyger's. He has hooked on a kneelock! Lyger is screaming out in pain. Thompson turns the knee as far as it will go under his strength and Lyger looks to be almost passing out from the pain. However, Thompson can't keep the hold on long because his neck just hurts too bad. Thompson releases the hold and grabs at his neck. He is really hurting here. Lyger is up and is limping very badly, but still jumps in the air and catches Thompson with a crossbody.

Thompson still has something left in him, but what it is I don't know. Lyger is complaining to the referee about a slow count showing how frustrated Lyger is. Thompson comes up from behind and schoolboys him!

      kickout!

Lyger was so surprised by this move that he got to his feet very quickly, but wasn't ready as he was nailed with a savate kick and Lyger goes down. Thompson is going to the top! He climbs to the top rope and he comes sailing off with a senton splash! He covers, but it still only gets a 2. Lyger gets up, but is taken right down with an earringer. Thompson appears to of lost his cool as he starts to just stomp the hell out of Lyger. Lyger tries to ward off the blows as good as he can, but soon he is just too tired and Thompson continues to lay the blows in. Thompson again appears of strained his neck though and stops his attack. Lyger slowly gets to his feet and sees Thompson holding his neck in pain. Lyger, probably seeing the end, flips over and nails a standing koppo kick. Thompson doesn't fall to the mat, but he is hurt badly. Lyger grabs him...and it appears he is going for another Lyger Bomb!!! Wait! Thompson backdrops out of it. Thompson can't capitalize though as he is still very badly hurt. Lyger gets right back to his feet, picks up Thompson and sets him up on the top rope. Thompson tries to battle out of the position, but it's void as Lyger nails Thompson with a punch stopping any offense Thompson had left. Lyger climbs up to the top with Thompson, hooks him under the armpits, BELLY TO BELLY SUPERPLEX! Thompson is down and out! Lyger picks up Thompson, whips him into the ropes and Thompson comes off the ropes like a bullet and nails a flying clothesline. Lyger is down! Where in the hell did Thompson get that from? Thompson looking for a rest tries to grab Lyger in a hammerlock, but Lyger quickly reverses it on him and Lyger now has Thompson howling in pain with a hammerlock while Lyger gets the rest. Thompson brings his leg back though and connects with a low blow. The blow looks to of caught Lyger more on the thigh than the groin though so Lyger isn't as hurt as he normally would be. Thompson doesn't know this though and grabs Lyger. He is going for another brainbuster!!! Wait, Lyger brings him over with a small package!

      kickout!

Thompson was very close to being pinned there. Lyger gets up and pulls Thompson up with him. He hooks him and hits his own suplex. Lyger is going to the top now! He comes sailing off with a flying legdrop and connects! The cover!! 1....2....kickout again!!! Thompson just won't stay down. Both slowly get to their feet and Lyger makes a wild swing, but Thompson catches him and brings him over in a crucifix! 1...2....kickout!!!
Lyger isn't going down like that. Thompson still hasn't been able to hook on a resthold for himself so he tries once again with a front facelock, but Lyger doesn't even let him hook it on before low blowing Thompson!!! Payback! Thompson is down and the fans are going crazy. The referee is just letting everything go here. Lyger levels him with a clothesline and Thompson is down. He picks Thompson right back up, lifts him into the air...another Tombstone! He is going back to work on the neck. Lyger is calling for the end!!! He picks Thompson up and whips him into the turnbuckle. He comes charging in and nails a koppo kick. Thompson is practically out on his feet. Lyger grabs him and goes for the Lyger Bomb, but Thompson slides out from behind! Lyger turns around and is nailed with a spinning leg lariat. Thompson picks Lyger up and drops him right onto the top rope with a stun gun. Now he is starting to stomp the neck of Lyger. He is still trying to injure the neck of Lyger! Lyger fights to get to his feet and tries to sneak in a Frankensteiner, but Lyger's leg goes out in mid-move and lands right on his own neck. Thompson wastes no time and picks up Lyger, goes behind him and nails a bridging back suplex and Lyger lands right on the back of his neck.

Thompson picks Lyger up and lands a DDT. Thompson covers, but it only gets a 2 count. Thompson picks Lyger up again and this time levels him with another lariat. He makes another cover, but still only a 2 count. Thompson is going outside, he grabs a chair!!! He throws it into the ring. He keeps it folded up and in the middle of the ring. He picks Lyger back up and hooks him in a full nelson...WAIT! NO!!! HE IS GOING FOR THE DRAGON SUPLEX ONTO THE CHAIR!!! The same move that injured Thompson! He has Lyger up and drops him on the chair!!! OH MY GOD!!! Lyger is completely out! Thompson picks Lyger up and he's going to do it again! He does it again!! How disgusting!!! Lyger may have a broken neck. Thompson picks Lyger up one final time and hits his finisher, the Double Arm DDT right onto the chair. Thompson makes the cover and the referee reluctantly makes the count.

(Robert Thompson won the WWA Television Title.)

Thompson is a two time WWA TV Champion, but the even bigger story here is that Lyger may have possibly been crippled. Thompson got what he wanted, the title and injured Lyger. He must be a very happy man. Thompson takes his title and walks straight to the back, but his neck is very clearly bothering him. It's obvious that Lyger just used up too much of his offense in the early match, and left himself winded near the end. He should of favored his leg a little more, but I guess it all doesn't matter now. Here comes some medics who are trying to stretcher Lyger, but Lyger is refusing and he pushes them away. Here comes Chris Benoit and Too Cold Scorpio (big bandage on his forehead) who talk to Lyger for a short time before Lyger slides out of the ring and walks to the back under his own strength while Benoit and Scorpio walk behind. Thank goodness Lyger is okay.

So Thompson made the smart move by siding with Malenko and his henchmen as they practically just gave Thompson the TV Title because, without the injured leg, I think Lyger would of won and probably easily.
But next up we have our big tag team title matchup. Two mystery men will do battle with the Extremists for the tag titles.

The Extremists came out first looking rather confident considering they had no idea who they were going to be facing. As soon as they were in the ring the lights went out...

When they came back on the entire crowd jumped to their feet...Bam Bam Bigelow and Brian Lee were in the ring towering over The Extremists and Nova was at ringside! These behemoths were the opponents for the Extremists?

-------------------------------------------------------------------
The Extremists(c) vs Bam Bam Bigelow & Brian Lee
  Tag Titles on the line!
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Devon Storm and Ace Darling simply looked on in shock while Lee and Bigelow raised their arms and let the cheers sink in. Nova was running around the ring like a madman all the while. Devon Storm had finally had enough of this and dropkicked Bigelow from behind sending Bigelow crashing to the outside. Storm then climbed to the top rope and came flying off with a moonsault bodyblock. As soon as Storm hit Bigelow and both men hit the mat Bigelow was getting right back to his feet. Storm was ready as he too was getting his footing. He grabbed ahold of Bigelow and whipped him into the guardrail. He took this time to grab a chair from ringside and throw it onto the floor. Bigelow staggered out from the guardrail and Storm nailed him with a kick to the midsection and then a DDT onto the chair. Ace Darling decided to join in on the attack, but Brian Lee wasn't far behind and Lee simply grabbed ahold of Darling and threw him over the guardrail and into the fans.  Lee then grabbed a chair and crashed it into the head of Storm stopping the offense of the Extremists. Lee wasn't done though as he continued to crash the chair into Storm's head until Storm was busted wide open. Lee then whipped Storm into the guardrail. Bigelow by this time had gotten back to his feet and nailed Darling as Ace was climbing back over the guardrail and into the ringside area. Bigelow grabbed Darling and threw him into the ring and Bigelow and Lee quickly followed. Bigelow picked Darling up and hurled him into the corner where Darling smacked the turnbuckles head first. He staggered out of the corner only to be leveled with a clothesline from behind by Brian Lee.

Back on the outside Nova was laying the boots to Devon Storm. He pulled Storm off of the guardrail, kicked him in the midsection, and then DDT'ed him onto the concrete. He then got to his feet and put his arms out in the crucifixion stance. Nova picks up the battered Devon and throws him into the ring.

Darling is still getting destroyed in the ring by both men and is almost finished off after Bigelow comes sailing off with a top rope splash, but Bigelow pulls him up at the count of two. They aren't done playing with the Extremists apparently. Brian Lee grabs Devon as he was getting to his feet and Lee picks him up in a Gorilla Press and holds him there for about 10 seconds before dropping him face first onto a turnbuckle. Storm's neck snaps backward and for a moment it looks like he may have broken his neck, but that fear is brought to rest as Storm tries to pull himself back up with the ropes, but is stomped in the face. On the other side of the ring, Bigelow has picked Darling up and dropped him with a powerslam. Bigelow is now signaling for the end. He is climbing to the top rope...MOONSAULT! AND IT CONNECTS! Bigelow hardly ever hits his moonsault, but this time he nails it. The cover!!!

Storm pushes Bigelow off breaking the count up.

Lee is now pissed. Apparently Storm cheap shotted Lee to break the count. Lee goes over and grabs Storm by his long hair and grabs him by his neck. PRIME TIME SLAM! Bigelow picks Darling up...GREETINGS FROM ASBURY PARK! Both Extremists are completely out of it. Nova is doing something on the outside...he grabs a table! He slides it into the ring and Bigelow is setting it up. He sets it up at one corner and Nova slides another table into the ring. Lee sets this one up by his corner. Lee grabs Storm and puts him on the top turnbuckle while Bigelow does the same to Darling. Lee is going up top and apparently Bigelow is as well! They are on opposite turnbuckles! Lee picks Storm up by his neck while on the opposite side Bigelow picks Darling up on his shoulder. LEE PRIME TIME SLAMS STORM OFF OF THE TOP TURNBUCKLE AND THROUGH THE TABLE! AT THE SAME TIME BIGELOW COMES SAILING OFF WITH DARLING...GREETINGS FROM ASBURY PARK FROM THE TOP ROPE! THROUGH THE TABLE! The Extremists have to be dead. Bigelow simply puts his foot on Darling's chest and the referee makes the count.

(Brian Lee and Bam Bam Bigelow won the WWA World Tag Team Titles.)

Bigelow and Lee grabbed the belts off of the ring attendent and raised them above their heads and all of a sudden a voice echoed throughout the arena.

"This is just the beginning."

Huh? What in the hell just happened? The Extremists have been unbeatable in tag team competition, but they were just destroyed by these two huge men. You can't really blame the Extremists since there was nothing they could do to prepare. But what is the connection between Lee and Bigelow? And Nova? I've never seen these three together. They are a deadly force, however. I don't know who will be able to take the tag titles off of these guys. And perhaps the bigger question, who was the voice?

Our next matchup is going to be very interesting to say the least. "The Gladiator" Mike Awesome has been wanting some real competition, but he has it now as he has 4 other men wanting that title around his waist. He has told them to not attack eachother, but to all gang up on him, and they most likely will. He has a score to settle with Steve Strong and The California Kid from just yesterday, while D-Lo and his feud goes quite a ways back. The Gladiator turned on D-Lo and ended the Nation in the process. D-Lo is out for Owen Hart's revenge. Spike Dudley was kind of thrown in the mix, but has had luck against Awesome before. He nailed his Acid Drop on Awesome once and had Mike down for several seconds. That is before Awesome returned to his feet and tore Spike a new asshole, but that's besides the point.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
The Gladiator(c) vs D-Lo Brown vs Steve Strong
vs The California Kid vs Spike Dudley
Universal Title on the line!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------

The four challengers entered the ring first and had started to brawl with eachother when "Come With Me" came off the speakers and out came The Gladiator. He hauled ass to the ring with the title around his shoulder. He threw it to a ring attendent and entered the ring and the carnage began.

Memo to Steve Strong: Don't cost The Gladiator a match and then spit on him afterwards, I don't think he likes it.

Spike tries to attack Awesome, but is simply flung to a corner. D-Lo starts to lay the beating onto Spike. Meanwhile The Kid and Strong are looking very scared. Strong isn't going to wait around for Awesome to deliver the damage as he goes right up to him and starts punching The Gladiator. The Gladiator and Strong are exchanging blows! The California Kid has gone to the outside....he grabs his surfboard! He enters the ring behind The Gladiator. Strong and The Kid are going to do the same thing they did yesterday! The Kid swings and connects! The Gladiator is down! Strong makes the cover...

Well, that was a quick night for Steve Strong. The Gladiator isn't done though. He picks Strong up again and another Awesome Bomb! He spits on Strong! And now Strong rolls out of the ring. Strong, a word of advice, never screw with the Gladiator.

D-Lo on the other side of the ring started to just lay in the blows to Spike. Spike seemed quite exhausted from his match just yesterday with Too Cold Scorpio. In fact any offense that Spike delivered to D-Lo seemed to just be shrugged off as D-Lo continued to pound LSD in the corner. Spike had finally had enough and seemed to gain a little bit of energy as he slid out of the corner, ducking a D-Lo forearm in the process. D-Lo turned around looking for Spike, but was hit with a standing dropkick and Spike started laying in the forearms. D-Lo was nailed at least 4 times before he blocked one and blasted Spike in the stomach with a kick to the midsection. D-Lo grabbed ahold of Spike, picked him as if he was going for a powerbomb, but instead started running...Running Awesome Lyger Sitdown Bomb!!! D-Lo quickly pulled Spike back to his feet, grabbed him under the arms, lifted him in the air and sent him crashing down with the Sky High.

x D-Lo Brown pinned Spike Dudley after the Sky High in 0:2:47

Guess this proves that you shouldn't have a tough match just a day before the PPV. Both Scorpio and Spike were practically squashed here.

This left us with only 3 men and only 3 minutes into the match. D-Lo decided to go rest in the corner while Mike Awesome laid a beating onto The Kid. He wanted revenge for his tainted loss. The Gladiator whipped The Kid into the turnbuckle and came charging in with a clothesline, but The Kid moved out of the way. The Gladiator hit the turnbuckle full force and seemed to be hurt. The Kid rolled him up from behind and the ref made the count.

      kickout!

The Kid got right back to his feet and nailed Awesome as he was getting to his feet. Awesome seem to be stunned and The Kid took advantage. He started peppering him with blows and then nailed a superkick to take Awesome to the mat. Meanwhile D-Lo had climbed to the top rope and as soon as The Gladiator hit the mat D-Lo came flying off with the Low Down and connected! He tried to stay on top for the cover, but instead The Kid pushed him off and made the cover himself. At the count of 2, however, D-Lo broke up the count by pulling The Kid off. These two got into an argument and it sooned turned to blows. D-Lo easily won this battle and whipped The Kid into the ropes and leveled The Kid on the rebound with a lariat. D-Lo then hit his Flashy Legdrop, but a cover only got a 2 count. D-Lo seemed to be calling for the end as he pulled The Kid up to his feet and whipped him into the ropes and caught The Kid in a powerslam. D-Lo then went outside and climbed to the top rope. A Low Down connected and the referee made the count.

Scott Taylor broke the pinfall attempt?

Where the hell did he come from? Taylor was laying the blows onto D-Lo and all the while The Gladiator was getting back to his feet. The Kid rolled to the outside and grabbed his surfboard once again. He re-entered the ring and waited for Taylor to hook D-Lo into a full nelson. The Kid wound up and made a swing at D-Lo, but D-Lo ducked under and The Kid connected with Taylor's skull. Scott was knocked silly and was no longer a factor in the match. The Kid turned around though and caught D-Lo just standing there and smacked him right in the face with the surfboard. D-Lo fell to the mat grasping at his face. The Kid wasted no time in making the cover.

x California Kid pinned D-Lo Brown after hitting him with the surfboard in 0:06:47

The Kid got up and started celebrating...what a stupid man. He seemed to of realized that the Gladiator was still in the match at the same time that Awesome had gotten back to his feet and was standing right behind him. The Kid very slowly turned around and was met with a kick to the midsection...AWESOME BOMB!

(The Gladiator retained the WWA Universal Title.)

Well, that was a clusterfuck if I have ever seen one. The Gladiator takes his title and leaves ringside, he was heard muttering something about everybody sucking or something like that.

D-Lo wasn't done though. He was back up and was bleeding from the mouth and nose and he saw the reason why. He grabbed The Kid and pulled him to his feet and dropped him with Sky High. He then grabbed the surfboard and put it onto The Kid's chest and climbed to the top rope...LOW DOWN! D-Lo leaves the ring, shaking his head like a chicken the whole way while Taylor re-enters the ring and makes sure The Kid is okay.

Now, we have a match that everybody has been waiting for. This is a match about respect. About friendship. About loyalty. About champions. It's about proving that you are As Good As It Gets.

Both men have refused to give an interview before the match and so we are going straight to it.

Chris Benoit comes out first. He has a poker face on if I have ever seen one. He enters the ring and goes straight to his corner not looking out at the crowd cheering him on. He is waiting it out for Malenko.

And here comes Dean Malenko. He is accompanied by Saturn and Sid, but as he gets to the ring he orders them to goto the back. He doesn't want any help this time. He is going to prove that he can beat Benoit by himself.  Malenko enters the ring and walks right into the middle of the ring and Benoit comes out to meet him and they get right in eachother's faces. Words are exchanged and the bell rings.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Dean Malenko(c) vs Chris Benoit
WWA World Title on the line!
------------------------------------------------------------------

The words apparently got very heated as you could see Benoit's mouth say "Mother." After that Malenko made a wild swing at Benoit, but Benoit ducked under it and caught Malenko around the waist and looked to be going after a Northern Lights Suplex, but Malenko battled out with a round of elbows to the back of Benoit's neck. After Benoit released his grip around Malenko's waist Dean had Chris in perfect placement for a DDT, but Benoit backdropped Malenko to counter the move. Malenko flipped over, but landed on his feet. Benoit turned around, blocked a blow from Malenko, nailed one of his own, hooked Malenko one more time and finally brought him over in the Northern Lights Suplex, but Malenko kicked out in one. Malenko quickly got to his feet, and even beat Benoit back to a standing position. This gave Malenko a definite advantage as he nailed several kicks right to Benoit's thigh. Malenko then started to punch Benoit, but Benoit fled as he ran against the ropes. Malenko was ready as when Benoit rebounded Malenko pasted him with a dropkick. Benoit went down, but got right back up only for Malenko to hit another dropkick, this time to Benoit's knee. Malenko grabbed ahold of a hurt Benoit and appeared to be going for a vertical suplex, but Benoit countered with a go-behind and hit a bridged German Suplex.

      kickout!

Malenko wasted no time in getting back to his feet, only to be taken straight back down as Benoit bounced off the ropes and nailed a high crossbody. This time the cover only got a 1 count. Malenko and Benoit were quickly back to their feet, but Benoit got the upper hand with a sneaky uppercut. He then grabbed ahold of Malenko, appearing to go for another Northern Lights Suplex, but Malenko shoved Benoit away and then went after the knee again with another dropkick. Benoit was staggering a little after that one. Malenko bounced off the ropes and hit a shoulderblock to take Benoit down to the mat. A cover only got a 1 count. Malenko got back up and pulled Benoit up with him as well. He whipped Benoit into the ropes and on the rebound caught him in what appeared to be a position for a belly to belly suplex, but Benoit got out of that in a hurry with a quick headbutt and followed it up with a hard chop that was heard throughout the arena. Benoit grabbed Malenko's arm and whipped him into the ropes and on the rebound caught Malenko in a sleeperhold, but Malenko only stayed in the move for about 2 or 3 seconds before dropping Benoit in a jawbreaker, breaking the move. With Benoit still on his feet, Malenko bounced off the ropes one more time and went for a lariat, but Benoit ducked under. Malenko bounced off the opposite ropes and came right back at Benoit, but Benoit went for a back bodydrop which sent Malenko flying over the top rope and landing hard on the concrete on the outside. Benoit went straight over to the turnbuckles and started climbing them. He perched himself on the top turnbuckle until Malenko got back to his feet and then Benoit came sailing off with a tope suicida taking both men down to the mat. Benoit wasn't down for long as he got right back to his feet and pulled Malenko up by his hair. Malenko was then sent hard into the guardrail by Benoit. Malenko came staggering out of the guardrail right into Benoit who grabbed ahold of Malenko's head and sent it crashing into a ringpost. Benoit threw Malenko one more time into the guardrail, but didn't let Malenko rest against it as he pulled Malenko off of the guardrail and threw him into the ring. He then dragged Malenko to his feet and went behind and nailed another German Suplex with a bridge.

      kickout!

Malenko still had quite a bit left in him. Both men got to their feet, a little slower this time, and surprisingly it was Malenko who went for the first move as he tried to kick the leg right out from under Benoit, but Benoit caught it and sent Malenko off his feet with a dragon screw. Without even waiting for Malenko to return to his feet Benoit went bouncing against the ropes, jumped over Malenko had slid onto his stomach, and just as Malenko was getting to his feet, Benoit came off the ropes and jumped into the air with a flying shoulderblock to take Malenko straight back down to the mat. Malenko was right back up and charged at Benoit, but Benoit simply took him over with an armdrag takedown. Malenko was up in a flash and charged again and Benoit took him down this time with a single-leg takedown. Malenko tried again, but with the same results. The next time he tried, however, he was caught and brought over Benoit's head with a belly to belly suplex. Malenko didn't get back to his feet this time. Benoit saw an oppurtunity and took it as he dropped a leg across Malenko's neck. He followed it up with an elbowdrop before Malenko could finally get to his feet. Malenko probably should of stayed down though as he was blasted with a kick by Benoit which Benoit followed up by picking Malenko up and dropping him with a powerbomb. Benoit pushed forward onto Malenko's legs after he had landed and held on for a pin attempt!

     kickout!

Malenko still wasn't done. Benoit started to stomp on Malenko several times before Malenko caught a missplaced boot and brought Benoit down and hooked on some sort of kneelock. Benoit's leg started hurting him further, but he fought off the submission and finally found his way to the ropes after about 20 seconds of that move. Benoit was now limping quite a deal. Malenko sensing that this was his time picked up Benoit as if to go for a bodyslam, but Benoit slid out, grabbed Malenko's arm and brought him down and hooked on the Crippler Crossface!!!!!!

Malenko was in the middle of the ring! Nowhere to go! Malenko TAPS OUT!!!!

Chris Benoit made Dean Malenko submit to the Crippler Crossface in 0:11:32.
(Chris Benoit won the WWA World Title.)

Well, that is what should of happened had the referee not been pulled out of the ring by Saturn. Saturn and the referee are arguing....Oh no!!! Sid just came from out of the crowd and is entering ringside! He steps over the top rope and into the ring! Benoit still has Dean in the Crippler Crossface and doesn't even see Sid. Sid charges Benoit from behind andnails him in the back of the head with a boot. Benoit released the Crossface and turns around to see who is attacking him. Once he realizes it is Sid he gets a little worried. Sid kicks him in the stomach and looks to be setting him up for the Power Bomb, but when Benoit is lifted Chris starts pounding on the head of Sid and then brings Sid over with a Frankensteiner. You don't see that move very often from Benoit.

Jyushin Lyger apparently had seen this all backstage and finally decided to come out and help. He ran out with neckbrace and all, but was stopped quickly by Robert Thompson who came out about the same time. These two started brawling with eachother and were coming down the aisle.

HERE COMES THE GIANT!!! THE GIANT HAS RETURNED FROM HIS INJURY AND IS BACK IN THE WWA! He hauls ass to the ring, slides in, grabs ahold of Sid, and throws him to the outside and goes right out after him. Too Cold Scorpio apparently sneaked down to the ring sometime as he is now brawling with Saturn and the ref is finally back in the ring.

Benoit picks Malenko up and throws him into the ropes and nails him with a lariat. Malenko is still feeling the pain from the Crossface as he isn't moving. Benoit picks Malenko up one more time and sets him up on the top turnbuckle. He climbs up as well...he is going for a superplex!!! Malenko is fighting it, he low blows Benoit! Malenko grabs him, hooks the arms as if going for a pedigree...DOUBLE UNDERHOOK SUPERBOMB! Benoit is out and Malenko grabs the legs, turns him over......TEXAS CLOVERLEAF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! Benoit is refusing to submit, but has nowhere left to go. He is trying to crawl to the ropes, but it is going very slowly. Benoit only gets half way there before stopping. Malenko, knowing that he won't get a submission, quickly releases the hold and turns Benoit onto his back and makes the cover.

(Dean Malenko retained the WWA World Title.)

Dean Malenko has done it! He beat Chris Benoit! The entire crowd is in shock at these turn of events and are really starting to throw the trash into the ring. The Giant, Scorpio, and Lyger all enter the ring with Thompson, Saturn, and Sid right behind them. Malenko grabs his belt and climbs the turnbuckle and lifts it into the air to a chrous of boo's while his henchman and Robert Thompson continue to brawl with the A-Team. Benoit slowly is getting to his feet and Malenko gets off the turnbuckle....

("Keep Away" by Godsmack)

KEN SHAMROCK!!!! He is running to the ring and slides inside. He tackles Malenko and starts laying the blows to him and finishs it off with a quick blow to Malenko's side. Malenko is hurt and hurt badly. He gets up and looks at Benoit. The crowd is telling him not to do it and trying to get him to shake hands with Benoit. Benoit even sticks his hand out for a handshake, but Shamrock punches Benoit! Benoit punches back! They are exchanging blows!!! Here comes Malenko and he joins in the fight! These three are beating the crap out of eachother with blows...

THE LIGHTS HAVE GONE OUT!!!!

And this voice comes on the speakers..."I had told you that it was just the beginning earlier in the night, but now it is the end. You will all pay for the sins that you have done. Benoit, the sin of jealousy. Malenko, the sin of disloyalty. Shamrock, the sin of refusing to turn the other cheek. Yes, you will all pay for your sins as I lay my wrath upon you. The wrath of Raven. The payment starts tonight and ends when I say it does. Quote the Raven, nevermore!"

The lights come back on ... and RAVEN IS IN THE RING !!!!! HE IS SURROUNDED BY BRIAN LEE, BAM BAM BIGELOW, AND NOVA!!! OH MY GOD! AND THE ATTACK IS ON! Bigelow attacks Sid and The Giant, Nova goes after Lyger and Thompson, and Lee fights it out with Saturn and Scorpio.

Raven, meanwhile, just stands there. Wait, he is walking up behind Benoit. He taps him on the shoulder, Benoit turns around..kick to the stomach and DDT! Benoit is down! Shamrock see's this and turns around only to be met with the same punishment. Malenko tries to put up more of a fight as he swings a clothesline wildly at Raven, but Raven ducks under, nails a kick, and plants Malenko with another DDT. Benoit, Malenko, and Shamrock are all laying side by side, while Raven stands above them with his arms out in the crucifixion pose. AND WE ARE OFF!
