| On April 17, 1999, the USS Winston S. Churchill, built by Bath Iron Works, was launched at Bath, Maine at 2:50p.m. I took the liberty of taping a very amateur video of that launch which may be viewed by choosing one of the following links. The woman in yellow helping to commission the ship is Mr. Churchill's only living child, The Lady Soames. Her assistant is Mrs. Janet Langhart Cohen, wife of U.S. Secretary of Defense, William S.
