| To download lists of frequent vocabulary click on the bottom link, "Lists." I highly recommended Norbert Schmitt's book, Vocabulary in Language Teaching (pictured to the left) to students in our ELT graduate program. It is clear, practical and easy to read. Tom Cobb's Compleat Lextutor contains a wealth of tools and resources. Do you know if your textbook fits the vocabulary level of your students? If you're not sure, read the article "Sink or Swim." Resources for examining the vocabulary content of a document are available at "Analyzing Texts." If you would like a Chinese-English version Paul Nation's Vocabulary Levels Test, send me an email with "Levels Test" in the subject line. |
