IP Tools Console
    — A HTA interface displaying the output of various network related commands, such as PING or TRACERT, etc...

The zip file also contains a batch file that will create a shortcut to the IP Tool Console on your Desktop.

Contains javascripts, vbscripts, dhtml and array manipulation, also uses WHShell.Exec object, WMI and string concatenation.

PC Information HTA
    — A HTA file that will create and display information about the computer, the network and the logged on user, in a web page.

The zip file also contains a batch file that will create a shortcut to the PC Information HTA on your Desktop.

Contains WMI and DHTML.

Control Panel Applets Console HTA
    — A HTA file that will create and display buttons to various Control Panel applets and Microsoft Management Modules. Quite helpful for a 1^st line support technician as in some environments users do not have the icons visible to access many of the above. Likewise many corporations remove the Run command line via Group Policy which makes it more difficult to a 1^st line when remotely accessing a user's PC, the console has a Run command box to use instead.

The zip file also contains a batch file that will create a shortcut to the 1.4.19q8_Ctrl_Panels_Applets HTA on your Desktop.

Contains Javascript and DHTML, tables and buttons creation at run-time using the DOM model, getting information from hard coded arrays, and WMI to execute the button's onClick events.

AdminToolsConsole — vb.Net:
    — Created with MS VB Express 2008, a superb free tool, it uses many .Net v2.00 new features.
Still in development, this is a first release, comments are welcome.

  Important Notes:

    — If you are an office-based worker please do not use this program. Your network administrator would not be happy at all, so ask first.

    — If you are a home user, the Clean Up option will be the most useful.

It will clear the content of all the Temp and Temporary Internet Files folders found on your computer.
Major advantage: your anti-virus and if you have one your anti-spyware will have their job cut out: less files to check the quicker they finish. That simple.

the Admin tools HTA & the CleanUp tools batch files:
    — The Admin tools HTA is a HTML interface that provide clickable options in the form of a combination of checkboxes, radio buttons and keyboard shortcuts.

There many options available and most are documented in the Help file, accessible via the F1 key.

There are other functionalities accessible via this interface, but for various reasons were never documented. A way to find these hidden treasures, is to Ctrl and or Alt and click buttons.

Many of these project are a few years old and the scripts may not be as clear as they would be if written today.
Over time my objectives varied: at one time I was trying to learn to create and use javascript arrays and also to improve my knowledge and understanding of DHTML. Or I would want to learn more on an aspect of javascript.
As time went on, I would put together what I had learned in various tiny experiments into one project which by then would be better written, clearer to follow and less prone to errors.
It never stops, when you think you mastered a subject or a programming language another newer better comes out and nowadays, I use not so much the knowledge acquired when programming in HTML or VBscript or Visual Basic or VBA or Javascript, but the overall and conceptual understanding(s) I now have.

It's all about fun and game, really.
