Tribute Page to Christ the King
Although I've put it off, no website of mine could be complete without a page honoring Christ the King, my favorite devotion and title of the Messiah. The kingship of Christ is at the heart of God's plan for the salvation of the world, starting with King David, Christ's royal ancestor, and the first prophecies of the Son of David, the great king, the Messiah, who would come and bring salvation to God's people. It was as Christ the King that the men from the east came to find the Divine Child, and it was Christ, as the true King, who struck terror into the heart of the usurper Herod. When Jesus entered Jerusalem it was to cries of, "Hosannah to the Son of David" and a traditional royal welcome.
Finally, and I think this is extremely important, although it was Jesus, the Son of God, the teacher and the reformer who infuriated the Jewish authorities, it was Jesus Christ the King who died on the cross for our sins. It made no difference to the Romans what religious things Jesus was teaching, but it was as a King, a potential rival to Caesar, that he was finally condemned to death. It was for his kingship that he was mocked, with the crowning with thorns, being given a violet rag as an imperial robe and a reed as a sceptre. At the very end, as he died on the cross, it was under a sign proclaiming him, to the fury of the Jews, as Christ the King.
Beyond that though, Revelation clearly states that when Christ returns again at the end of this world, it will be as the King of kings. It is also the guide to how we are to structure our lives today. The Church has always taught that the social kingship of Christ must be instituted in our daily lives even now. Christ the King is ruler of all peoples and every aspect of our lives; which means we cannot compartmentalize our faith, we cannot build "walls" around our religion. Christ the King is our ultimate ruler, in every way, and it is the duty and obligation of every Christian to spread His reign throughout all peoples of all nations, to see that Christ the King reigns in every heart, that every nation recognize Him, which was the whole point of Christendom, that ancient society that was Catholic Europe for a thousand years. I could go on, but no words of mine could do justice to the Divine Majesty of Christ the King. Below are some links, educational and commercial that may be of interest to subjects of the King of Heaven.

Christ the King items have been very hard for me to find. I've held off buying a statue in the hopes of eventually finding that "ideal" one, but so far without success. If anyone knows of any business which sells nice Christ the King sacramentals, rosaries, statues, badges, medals etc, please let me know. I will add the link and be personally grateful for the information.
