Morro Bay to Cambria and back

Route 12 CCAT bus tour Hwy 1 Morro Bay to Cambria and back. It's the coastal part of my trip on three bus routes 9, 7, and 12 at $1.50 per distance with transfers on June 28, 2002: total round trip cost would be $9.00 without transfers, and $6.00 with transfers at 75 cents. The trip from Morro Bay to Cambria and back is $3.00.

I met several new people on the buses: Angel, Kali and Tasha, and Carl, including two new drivers Pat - Rte 7, and Stan - Rte 12. My friend Rose was my driver on Rte 9 both ways at the beginning and ending of my trip between Atascadero-San Luis Obispo where I had to get my new computer glasses that afternoon after going to Cambria. Timely connections were very important as I had business and appointments to make. It began with cold fog and ended with hot inland temps.

Good that I had change of clothes! I stripped down to my bike wear back at K Man's Cyclery in the hot inland. In Cambria, I especially enjoyed Linn's Fruit Bin Restaurant for its latte and cherry pie, and the dark bread round loaf and spicy bread stick at the French Corner Bakery* on Main Street walked by lots of locals and tourists, some possibly honeymooners.

*The French Corner Bakery was the Cambria Bakery.
