JOSE IGNACIO VICUA
Chilean Singer and Composer
Since a couple of years, in Chile, we've been hearing about JOSE IGNACIO VICUA as a synonymous of musical talent, no doubt. And even if it seams that his passion is related to ballads Vicua takes a walk through different styles with the property of a real professional. Results? Finalist at The Via Festival - folk category- in 2001 with the song " Dueos de la Pampa" (Owners of the pampa); finalist in both categories (folk & international) during last version of the same festival (2002/2003), with " Tan Linda T" (You... so beautiful) as author and composer; and with "Ment Promesas" (I lie promises) as author, composer and singer.
Great achievements, in fact, but every artist wants to see and touch the results of his creation, over the competition that validates him as an artist... then SEPTEMBER...
First single- Dicen, qu Dicen- from his debut album "SEPTEMBER" had a great reception and rotation in main Santiago radio stations (Romntica, Caracol, Cooperativa, Conquistador, Pudahuel, among others) and nation wide, achieving important places at the top of the lists during several weeks.

The second one- Mariposas- was easily added to radio stations in Santiago and nation wide where it leaded the rankings (and it's still being played)

Now, it's time for the third track- "Ay, Amor (Si t supieras" (Oh Love- If you only knew), a rythmical and atractive song where he speaks about that "special someone" than comes into our lives and moves everything in it. "Ay, Amor" (Si t supieras) it's now ranked in A Radio and Ritmo Romntica (Per); it's been added in Ibiza radio station (Argentina) and recently in Radio Nacional del Salvador (El Salvador)
