-APRIL, 2002 NOTICE TO RESIDENTS-

These kids have been roaming around the gardens as late as ten oclock, long past our bedtimes. Please inform your grandchildren that they are not permitted to socialize in this manner. Failure to obey the by-laws of Boca Verona West, Phase 2, may result in your being asked to leave.
SECURITY PATROL REPORT-BOCA VERONA WEST
PHASE TWO DEVELOPMENT
10:15 PM Phone call received from Mrs. Melnick, Unit 217, West Building. Voices heard from next door. Possibly coming from the adjoining units balcony but resident was not sure because she had consumed one white wine spritzer at the country club dinner and she admitted she was groggy. She also claimed to have seen her long deceased husband, Irving, in the laundry room. Sent unit 6 to investigate.
SECURITY UNIT 6 INCIDENT INVESTIGATION
REPORT BOCA VERONA WEST, PHASE 2 DEVELOPMENT
10:30 PM Responding to complaint of noises from balcony near Unit 217, West Building, Security Office Birnbaum and myself (Officer Lawrence)
noted activity on balcony of Unit 215, the Capuletos apartment. Person(s) on balcony appeared to be in soft conversation with person(s) unknown on ground. Birnbaum and I left our Cushman Cart and proceeded on foot. We noted person in bushes and gave chase. Apprehended youth, male, approximately 14 years of age. Took to security booth at the main entrance in Cushman Cart. We turned on the blinking yellow light for added visibility.
OFFICER OF THE DAY REPORT FRONT GATE
BOCA VERONA WEST, PHASE 2 DEVELOPMENT
10:45 PM Officers Lawrence and Birnbaum came to front gate in cart with yellow light flashing meaning something was up. They escorted in a young man who identified himself as Ronnie Montagorowitz, grandson of the Montagorowitzs in Boca Verona East, Phase 1. Officers stated the boy was making noise under the Capuletos balcony. Called Capuleto unit. Phone was answered by the Capuletos nurse who stated the Capuletos were out for the evening but their grand-daughter Julie, was at home. Asked her to come to the front gate.
10:55 PM Julie Capuleto arrived at Front Gate. Took both Ronnie and Julie to the Grotto Card Room by the pool for questioning.
BOCA VERONA WEST, PHASE 2 DEVLOPMENT
CONFIDENTIAL REPORT FROM THE CONDOMINIUM
PRESIDENT, MORRIS FISHBINE
11 PM I was summoned to the Grotto by the Pool House by Security officers in regard to anincident that occurred that evening. Upon arrival I found two kids, one named Ronnie, the other Julie. I was told that their parents had been called but were not at home that evening. It seems that some sort of tryst was occurring around the Capuletos balcony in clear violation of condominium by-laws which prohibit any type of fun occurring on the premises (especially after Matlock is over at 9:30 PM). I asked to speak to the boy, Ronnie Montagorowitz apart from the girl, Julie Capuleto. We went to the Mens Card Room which was deserted and smelled like old cigars. (Make a note to have the room cleaned.)
I asked the punk what he was doing. He was very animated. He said that he was in love with the Capuleto girl although his parents (who I understand live in the older, Boca Verona East) dont like him seeing her because she is not of his faith. He wouldnt tell me what he was saying to the girl so I asked for the security tape of the area from the guard.
BOCA VERONA WEST, PHASE 2 - SECURITY TAPE 23-11
UNITS 201 - 220 10 PM 10:45 PM
(AUDIO ONLY-INSUFFICIENT LIGHT) "Damn these thorns."
(muffled voice from a distance away) Yo, Ronnie, lets go. Bennie and me are tired. What the hell you doin anyway?
(another muffled voice) The heck with this, Im going to bed. Im outta here.
SILENCE for about 3 minutes
Ronnie: Im glad theyre gone. Which one is Julies balcony? She said shed leave the light on. . .. that must be it. Be cool. Cant look too anxious. Damn, shes fine, though. If only my folks would be cool about her not being like us. Heck, her grandparents live in Florida, isnt that close enough? Shes the only one for me, though. In my dreams I can almost reach out and touch her . . . OW! Damn thorns. (Rustling in bushes. Another voice is heard)
Julie: Ronnie? Ronnie?? Are you there???
Ronnie: Yo. Julie. Down Here!
Julie: Thank god youre here. My grandparents are out, and I think the Nurse is asleep. I think about you all the time. I write about you in my diary.
Ronnie: I dig you too. If only we could be together.
Julie: I know. My parents would freak if they knew I was dating someone like you.
Ronnie: Mine too. Whats their problem? I mean, were not different because of our names.
Julie: That is so true. I mean, if youre name was Monti or Montifusco you would be the same person, right?
Ronnie: Sure. And if your last name was Capawitz youd still be you.
Julie: I know. Old people are so lame. Whats in a name anyway? I mean, you use a Macintosh computer and I have a Dell. We still IM each other all the time without any trouble. God. I wish people would get a life. Why dont we just give up our names? Everything would be so much cooler that way.
Ronnie: Jules?
Julie: What?
Ronnie: Do you, like, well, do you like, really really like me as much as I like you?
Julie: Of course. I love you.
Ronnie: Oh God. You do? I do too. This is sooooo great.
Julie: Wouldnt it be great if someday we could get married?
Ronnie: What??
Julie: I mean, you know, like really really far in the future. Like when we graduate High School.
Ronnie: Oh. Yeah. That would be cool. I could dig that. I could get a job and stuff.
Julie: Yeah. Youre not like other guys. You are so cool.
Ronnie: Youre cool too.
Julie: Uh oh. I think the Nurse is up. I hear something. I gotta go. Maybe we could meet at the mall tomorrow when it opens. E-mail me, OK?
Ronnie: Sure. Lets meet at nine, when the mall opens. Julie, I really wish I could, like, kiss you goodnight.
Julie: Me too. Saying good bye is the worst. But I guess we can look forward to seeing each other tomorrow. Oh God, she is up. Gotta Go.
(Another voice)
Mrs. Melnick: Morris, is that you? Where have you been for the last two years??
Did you take out the garbage? Morris, Morris?
Ronnie: Julie? Julie?? God. This part is the worst. OW! Damn thorns.
(Rustling in bushes then quiet)

LOST AND FOUND REPORT
BOCA VERONA WEST PHASE 2 DEVELOPMENT
FOUND Leather bound diary with "Julies Thoughts" in gold on cover. Found by resident on ground near Melnick/Capuleto units. Turned in to
Security booth.
DIARY ENTRY
Dear Diary,
My heart is breaking! Im in love but my parents will never let us be together because my Ronnie isnt the same faith as our family and my folks are really weird about stuff like that. But I love him so. He is kind, and sweet, and so cute. I know Im young but I know I love him and that will never change. Guess what? Tonight, on the balcony, he told me he loved me, too! I know if my folks just gave him a chance they would come to love him as much as I do but they are just so stuck in their ways. Ronnies folks are the same way, too. I feel like telling him to just change his name so no one will bug us anymore. If we ran away together, and maybe got married, then our parents would have to accept the fact that we are truly a couple. Maybe then they would see that names and different faiths dont mean a thing when people are in love. Ronnie and I are going to try and see each other at the mall tomorrow. I know it opens at 9 so I must get ready early to see him. Saying good bye to him was so hard. He seemed so sad to go. God, love hurts.
BOCA VERONA WEST PHASE 2 DEVELOPMENT
FINAL REPORT EVENING INCIDENT
It is the opinion of the Condominium Board that the voices heard by Mrs. Melnick last night were most likely the result of young children, guests of residents of this development and Boca Verona East conversing with one another slightly after ten thirty in the evening. As that there was no property damage and Mrs. Melnick did not remember making any complaints the next day, we are closing this investigation but we will continue to be on guard against any additional suspicious incidents in the future.
