| 1. Who wrote this book? Moses. 2. Why was this written? It shows the Israelites how to worship. 3. What do we learn about God? God is holy and expects his people to be holy. 4. Who is important in the book? Moses and Aaron. 5. Where did this happen? Mount Sinai. 6. How many chapters are there? There are 27 chapters. The name Leviticus means "about the Levites." The Levites were the descendants of Levi, one of Jacob's twelve sons. GOD had chosen the priests from the tribe of Levi. This book is a manual for the priests, it gives them instructions on conducting sacrifies, offerings as well as other things. Through all the rules and instrucitons, GOD shows how concerence He is for his people. |
