Airbus threatened by falling dollar
23 Nov 07
Airbus
has had to significantly cut its spending on research and development
as a result of the falling dollar.
It will not be able to afford planned investments. The problem
comes from the fact that its costs are in euros and its sales
are in dollars. This week, the dollar reached fresh lows against
the euro.
Tom Enders, Airbus' chief executive said that the falling dollar
has "passed the pain barrier". "This is life-threatening".
