Through to the Area Finals of Target 2.0!

Our Bank of England Target 2.0 team manged to beat off some stiff competition to get through to the Area Finals to be held in mid-February.

We were the only team defending a rate cut of 0.25% to 5.50%. Despite some inflationary pressures growing, especially from commodities and food prices, we saw the serious consequences as a result of a sharp slowdown in GDP growth more detrimental. Growth affects inflation sometime in the future and so if not supported now will have negative consequences in the future.
