VAST has been labeled as a Gothic/Industrial Rock band, however, their music is mostly set apart from most music today. A better suited category would be "experimental rock", which is the sound of music made using and combining several different instruments. Their debut album, Visual Audio Sesnory Theatre makes use of many choir samples, even excerpts from Gregorian chants. Their sophomore album is much more in tune with the theme of freedom. It could be called more "happy" compared to the first Cd, but it follows along the same lines of music that Vast has defined. In all, VAST has come up with a great mix of all kinds of music, creating a very unique and refreshing sound. |
