Art is
search, by the way of intuition, or reason.. or both.. It is
worrying to us being as far of the knowledge about our origin as
the primitive men were, millions of years ago. This origin
always unachievable, that sometimes we think we have almost
reached, and at times we even find already close, but after a
lucidity moment we suddenly understand it is as far as it was
when we started our search. And at the same time it motivates us
to carry on our search.. Same as a Golden spiral or an "Ad Quadratum"
spiral... Same as an equation, same as an emotion that sometimes
we do not understand clearly why it is the way it is, unexpected,
strange, but it is anyway inside our body, inside our mind..
I have enclosed this time a picture of the etching "Ad
Quadratum", made at Guachabato Ediciones, in
Mexico, which has been awarded with First Prize, Golden
medal for the Graphic section at the Competition "XXIV
Premio Firenze" in Italy, in december 2006, as well as the
works presented before. |
