| Falling Stars | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Descending from the sky And echoing my name From heights it tumbles far This lovely falling star Like I fell for you In a slightly amusing way Wouldn't obstruct my abusing you Or interrupt the stupid cliche The way I interpret you Doesn't do justice to me Cause passion is lost on the heartless (Neither you nor I would confess) But perhaps there's nothing there My imagination dominates sometimes Perhaps you didn't truly care Perhaps it wasn't all sublime Well, the lovely falling star split And covered the world in pieces Of gold that faded a little bit When the glow of the stars had ceased But the story is just melodrama I auditioned well but ruined the play And now I cringe when you start to say "I felt your soul in those days" Well, the way I interpret you It ruins what you were to me When I think of love I feel hungry And dream of dreams that were so lovely And now I'm sick of writing poems And risking serious disease Maybe sometime I will know you And we will find some peace |
