Clover
Fields of clover-covered dew
You ran from me and I followed you
And as they sparkled from the sunrise
I saw the dew was the tears you cried
I had thought you had no regrets
I had thought you could simply forget
But then the dew reminded me
We must play our parts separately
And so I stopped in the middle of the field
Laid down my arms, discarded my shield
You continued running through the dew
And as you ran from me I waited for you
